Or, maybe you could push the vaccines and in case people still get infected despite vaccination status, not be so harsh on people who include ivermectin as part of a treatment protocol.  See, that wasn't so hard, was it?

What's you definition of a "vaccine"?

Nah, I'll stick to treatments that work thanks

What is your definition of a vaccine, and  more importantly why does the COVID vaccine not qualify in your mind? This should be good.

Which is exactly what he should be doing.  Leave it to the media and the libtards to take the wrong message from all of this.  Allow me to do their job for them:

"Prominent football player contracts Covid, yet recovers in lightening speed due to effective treatment protocol."  These a s s h o l e s don't care about recovery from Covid.  They just want to impose their will on people and have them take leaky vaccines that often are not effective and which have troubling side effects in many.

Vaccination remains the most effective weapon against the disease, shortening its course and resulting in better outcomes for those afflicted. Most of the side effects of the vaccine are sore arm and tiredness.

We should also mention how ineffective Rodgers "immunization" regimen was.

Well, you're pushing vaccines that people are taking and still dying from the infection.  I'd be humiliated if I were you.

Again, you continue to present false equivalencies.

NO vaccine is 100%. We can get to where we effectively eradicate some diseases by achieving herd immunity, thus preventing enough infections that we can essentially render a disease hostless. This takes a long time, but for some diseases it is a potential outcome.

Where we are at with COVID is that we have v1.0 vaccines that are VERY effective at preventing severe disease and death against the dominant variant (which the vaccines weren't even developed against), even if they have lost some efficacy at preventing spread.

Even if the ONLY thing vaccines did was reduce significantly severe cases and death it would be worthwhile.

The bottom line is clear: If you are vaccinated you have a fraction of the risk of an unvaccinated individual in developing a severe or fatal COVID infection.

If you continue to push this false equivalence of "some people still die when they are vaccinated" as being "the vaccine doesn't work", you are the one humiliating yourself.

probabilities and percentages seem to be lost on many of them. of course the vaccines aren't 100% effective. it was never claimed that they were.  but...they lower your probability of getting covid, lower your probability of needing to be hospitalized if you do get it, lower your probability of dying from covid, and lower the probability of you transmitting it to others.

of course there will be outliers...fully vaccinated people who still get covid & die from it....and unvaccinated people who get covid but only have mild symptoms. you'd have to be a raging maroon to think there wouldn't be. but most people with functioning brains would like to lower the probability that they & their family members will contract a serious case of covid.

there's also the concept of cause & effect that some can't comprehend.  my buddy had the rona last november...had taco bell a couple times that week...in addition to the treatments his doctor prescribed...and he recovered. holy sheet...taco bell food cures coronavirus!

cheesy gordita crunch, ftw!!!

People are now dying from COVID-19 at a rate 3 times higher in counties where former President Donald Trump won at least 60% of the vote than in counties where President Joe Biden won a similar percentage, according to a New York Times analysis of the data.

And that partisan gap — which didn't emerge until the widespread availability of vaccines in the spring of 2021 — has consistently widened over the last 5 months.

The gap, according to the Times, accelerated at its fastest rate yet in October, coming out to 25 COVID deaths per 100,000 residents in counties where Trump won more than 60% of the vote, versus 7.8 deaths per 100k in counties where Biden did the same.

A late October poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation's COVID-19 Vaccine Monitor found that 39% of Republican adults remain unvaccinated, while just 10% of Democratic adults said the same thing.

unfortunately they've pulled back from the latter. turnout among republicans in VA was pretty high.

that's not atypical in VA after a presidential election for the out-party, and Northam beat Gillespie by a much wider margin in 2017 than Youngkin did McAuliffe in 2021, but the swing was pretty big.

Standard ishlib opinion.

(READ) CDC changes definition of "vaccines" to fit Covid-19 vaccine limitations

Dated: September 8, 2021 by Sharyl Attkisson 120 Comments

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has carefully "evolved" the definition of vaccination to meet the declining ability of some of today's "vaccines," including the Covid-19 vaccines.

The original definition, prior to 2015, stated that vaccines "prevent...disease."

Starting in 2015, the definition was altered to say that vaccines "produce immunity," without necessarily preventing disease.

After the Covid-19 vaccines were introduced, and it was discovered they do not necessarily "prevent disease" or "provide immunity," CDC altered the definition of vaccines again to say that they merely "produce protection."

The discovery was publicized by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky) who tweeted the definitions.

Massie also included the archived links to the definitions:

Instead of requiring medicine to meet the definition of "vaccine," it appears CDC has changed the definition of "vaccine" to accommodate what the medicine does.

Lol I'm on paternity leave again ***** but nice try.

And that definition is much more accurate now than it was before. No vaccine in existence is 100% effective by itself. And no routine childhood vaccine is currently given with a booster before you try that route either.

Is the polio vaccine not a vaccine? Measles? Meningococcal? Tetanus? Hepatitis B? HPV? Because they don't 100% prevent disease by themselves either.  More nonsense "gotcha" moments from idiots who clearly don't know anything about viruses or vaccines.

You just took the time to write out a research paper.

Our friend Procus here is a clear example of what happens when you let the most uneducated segments of our society have unfettered access to the internet. Instead of becoming more informed and more intelligent, they become misinformed and somehow even dumber than they were before.

First off - congrats on the baby.  I remember now on the paternity leave.

Secondly, we have a saying - you can't kid a kidder.  You and I both know that the Covid jabs are much much less effective than the polio, measles, smallpox vaccines among others at preventing transmission and contraction of disease - and it's not even close.  We just don't have polio, smallpox and to a large extent, measles outbreaks anymore and you know it.  When you know vaccinated people who died from Covid, it hits home.

The definitions evolved to fit the current environment.
