Who gives a F what Rachel Maddow said 8 months ago?  Pundits on TV are wrong all the time.  If they were paid to be right about things they would all make a lot less money.

You don't put money on the predictions of Stephen A. Smith either.

SPOILER ALERT: The virus mutated and Delta and then Omicron changed the things. Because that's how science works.

Yep, the virus mutated just like the science said it would. That’s how these pandemic thingies always play out.  Also, the science was clear that the long term efficacy of the vaccines was initially an unknown since it couldn't be studied prior to starting the vaccination phase which I believe is NOTW's point.

Unfortunately a lot of idiots do seem to care. Idiots who take what people like Tucker or Maddow spew as gospel. Yes, they spew different types of things but both spew none the less. In any case, I agree with you.

Omnicron is spreading like wildfire.  Maybe this is a good thing and the beginning of the end of Covid as a pandemic.

Small study suggests Omicron antibodies could provide immunity against Delta too

Yeah, we are about a month away from the next variant that will possible kill everyone stories, media will never let it go, someone posted a bunch of time magazine cover about other viruses. If you have been infected or got the vaccines live your life and turn off the news.

I've given up trying to reason with these idiots. The lot of them. It's pointless when they have no capacity to understand literally anything because they were shooting spitballs at the science teacher instead of actually paying attention.

Oh no, the guy who has been wrong about literally everything is going to stop trying! What a great blow to the thread. Let's recap:

"The pandemic won't become endemic." - Wrong

"The vaccine won't become seasonal like the flu shot.," - lmfao horribly wrong

"Omicron might not be a good thing" - I mean, just completely stupid at this point

Rachel Maddow was repeating almost verbatim what the health experts and Biden were saying about the vaccines.

At what point does it start to dawn on ishlibs that they are the baddies?

"Scientists" said that? Oh no, not dissenting opinions in The Science™! I was assured that unlimited shots of mrna vaccines couldn't possibly have a downside and only 1 in 100,000,000,000 experience any adverse effects.

And?

You get the vaccine to try to protect yourself even if it isn’t a 100% guarantee.  We can dunk on health experts for being wrong about its effectiveness, but it’s really not a good argument to not get vaccinated at all, which is what you advocate.

"And?" And nothing. If you want people to "trust the experts" and listen to our public health agencies and political leaders, don't tell them a vaccine is 100% effective. And when you realize the vaccine sucks at preventing transmission, be forthcoming about that information as well to maintain credibility.

Oh, and I don't really advocate for or against the vaccine. I advocate for everyone making personal decisions based on their own risk factors. For the old fatties that post in CVON, I'd encourage them to get their 4th boosters as soon as possible. For the people in my age/weight range, I'd probably say don't worry about it.

There are zero people posting on here who think you’re objective about vaccines.  Fwiw

There are also allegedly a bunch who think I've been vaccinated, work at KMart, and doubt I own a zero turn. So, opinions around here are pretty worthless.

I won't be taking any more shots until flu season 2022.  You can take that to the bank.  I am expecting a yearly booster for 3-5 years.

Yearly? The Science says that the vaccines are good for about 4 months, maybe 5 if you got Moderna, less if you got J&J. So basically you will be essentially unvaccinated for about half to 3/4ths of the year. I thought you cared about your community?

That is not at all what the science says.  It wanes gradually, it doesn't shut off like a light bulb.

Let me be clear: nobody gives a crap that you own a zero turn.

What was funny was the humble bragging about it.

So, in short, you're retarded.

Our flu season is raging and it is a bad one plus this year’s vaccine is proving to be less effective than normal.
