Yes, there were untruths told by many govts and many people regarding COVID and COVID vaccines.Also, it is completely factual that the vaccines lead to milder cases of COVID and thereby lower rates of hospitalization and lower rates of death. All the statistics bear out that conclusion. Also, yes there are side effects for some, even deadly side effects in rarer cases (I personally know of a guy that died very shortly after his first shot). In the end, the overall effects of the vaccine is significantly positive. Anyone in a risk group or having reached an elderly age should be getting regular vaccines unless they have some complication. Others should probably not get them at this stage but they can make that choice themselves.
