That's why I am no longer pro food sanitation! If I support any health protocols implemented by the government, I have to support ALL health protocols implemented by the government! Otherwise, much hypocrisy. This is the content I'm here for. Nope, that’s not what I’m saying. But if you support food sanitation requirements (which add additional costs to businesses and take away potential revenue by limiting capacity), then the logic for being against COVID restrictions can’t be that you are against it because it negatively impacts business revenues. And you certainly can’t use the logic that a 99.9% survivability rate means COVID isn’t serious enough to have restrictions for but be ok with food sanitation restrictions despite a 99.993% survivability rate. And you certainly can’t have the logic of "people should be free to decide if they want to frequent a business” when it comes to COVID but have a "the government knows what’s best for us!” mindset when it comes to food safety. Yes, you are being very inconsistent. like I said, you should rethink your logic.

Your logic is too impeccable to debate there. I know it sounds like I'm being sarcastic, but you literally have to support both or none or else you are huge hypocrite with no consistency!
December 31, 20204 yr By far the highest percentages I've seen studied and only an n of 26 so take it for what it's worth.

I find it interesting that this is coming from the same guy that said that that if there is a mask mandate for COVID there should be one for the flu and if there isn't then you are OK with people dying from the flu every year. You have to support both or else you are a hypocrite and want people to die from the flu. @Phillyterp85 is using your logic against you.

January 1, 20214 yr Ok..like day 4 or 5 of this.....actually slept through the night last night (with the help of NightQuil), still achy...still feels like when my skin is touched it's like rubbing glass against it! But still just feeling like a bad cold/flu. I spoke with my buddy who just went through it, said the same things and said after 5/6 days he was back to normal...so by tomorrow/Sunday, I'm hoping for this to be done. Question for anyone that had this crap...how long did it take you (or people you knew) to get through it? Obviously everyone is different..... My girlfriend....she's too funny, she actually rallied, made us get dressed up for NYE pics last night and then we crashed by like 9......... Happy New Years WU!! Hopefully 2021 is a lot better than that toilet bowl of year '20!!!

Hopefully 2021 is a lot better than that toilet bowl of year '20!!! A friend of mine is on day 6. I was talking to him last night and he still has a fever. He said he was so hot to the touch on his feet and hands that he had to put bags of vegetables on them. His wife lost her smell/taste completely.
January 1, 20214 yr Funny thing is never lost sense of smell or taste which is one of the major tell tale signs.....
January 1, 20214 yr Taste/smell is what I hear a lot of. Otherwise, cold symptoms that can be near nothing or can be more like a solid case of the flu with aches, fever, etc. I believe that I had it last Feb. If so then it was a 4-5 day thing with bad aches and some off an on low fever. Took a few weeks to completely disappear. I do know a couple of people that still have a bit of coughing, etc. even several months later. They are the exception though

Obviously everyone is different I know 4 people that had it. All 4 of them said it took the full 14 days to feel good enough that they could get out of bed. 2 of them said they still have days where they get nasty headaches , tired, and low energy 2-3 months after.
January 1, 20214 yr It hits everyone differently. My brother had it for 2 weeks, severe case, said he felt like he was dying for the first 5-6 days until slowly getting better. His wife had it, mild case and didn't feel all that sick. My boss and his family had it. He and 1 daughter were fine, no symptoms. His wife severe flu symptoms and other daughter terrible cough for a few days. I have a couple friends who were hospitalized, one developed pneumonia and had breathing problems and on an oxygen tank for several months after.
January 1, 20214 yr The government is the worst. Companies step up to make PPE, hand sanitizer...the government creates new regulations and fees. Reminds me of the regular people on boats rescuing people from hurricane floods that got fined by the government for not having a license. https://reason.com/2020/12/30/when-there-wasnt-enough-hand-sanitizer-distilleries-stepped-up-now-theyre-facing-14060-fda-fees/

January 1, 20214 yr Or maybe it wasn't a mistake but rather just a poor decision by someone that they had to reverse.

That update on the reversal was posted after I saw it shared by Reason on Dec 30th, updated within 24 hours. I didn't see where anyone said it was a "mistake" just that the Department of Health and Human Services overturned it after it got attention. The update says: "It's been a whirlwind 24 hours for American craft distillers, but 2020 is ending with some good news: Thanks to media coverage, including here at Reason, of an unexpected and substantial fee imposed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on distillers who pivoted to produce much-needed hand sanitizer, the federal government has reversed course on what would have been a devastating blow to small businesses."

"Small businesses who stepped up to fight COVID-19 should be applauded by their government, not taxed for doing so," HHS chief of staff Brian Harrison said in a statement posted on Twitter. "I’m pleased to announce we have directed FDA to cease enforcement of these arbitrary, surprise user fees," he said. "Happy New Year, distilleries, and cheers to you for helping keep us safe!”

January 1, 20214 yr So because of that fired pharmacy tech who destroyed 500 vials of vaccine, 57 people got a useless shot because it spoiled. I can't imagine the nightmare it's going to be to try to find those 57 patients who got that shot that did nothing.

I think most healthcare facilities are still just vaccinating employees but I guess some may have moved on to patients as well.
