It is supposed to be handled but the airlines haven't all been managing it properly so it is apparently a double check of sorts. It also applies if you're British and have connected thru somewhere else in Europe. You could have been on different airlines for example. You're supposed to quarantine if you are Swedish and have arrived from the UK. Same rules if you're American and traveled into the US at various times or if you crossed states in some instances.

January 5, 20215 yr Am just curious how many of us have you had a known exposure (or several), and if tested at least once or more? Did you quarantine as directed. I feel like there's a bunch of people out there not understanding and singing their abc's and washing their hands, or always wearing a mask. If I was flying, sorry I would want to know the people within 5 ft of me are negative or recovered.

We just heard this morning of another family in the neighborhood who flew to Florida for vacation on the 20th and returned on the 28th. On the 26th, the mom had a sore throat, the next day one of the older kids had it too. Apparently, she went and got tested and it came back positive. They decided to fly home anyway, exposing a flight full of passengers. The husband and two other kids came down with symptoms shortly after. The rest got tested a day or two after getting back and all tested positive. You just can't trust other people right now. They are going to act purely in their own self-interest and can't be bothered to give a ish about anyone else.

You can kind of understand folks without symptoms, but if you're sick, stay home, or in her case, stay on vacation!!!

This is the second sort of incident with a family in our neighborhood getting it, but we dont know this particular family personally. The family from the first incident I mentioned before in this thread we do know personally and our kids used to play with their kids quite a bit before all this. Since then I've lost a great deal of respect for them and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to look at them the same way again.
