Yeah indoors forget it, that’s crazy. Only reason we were somewhat comfortable going is because it was all outside.

Was just looking at the movie theater option, just to see.  It’d be $100 to $150 for up to 20 people.  That seems reasonable for 20 people (figure 4-5 families spread out throughout should give everyone plenty of space, right?).

Yeah my wife signed up for a test on Thursday already. I’m going to do the same.

Perfect.  Stay safe man hope all turns out well.

Side note: did you guys buy a house recently?  I know you and I have did the whole marriage/baby thing in 2020 but I wasn't sure if you did a house too.  Only mention it cause we just refinanced (bought about 1 year ago) and saved a F load with the current interest rates, so something to consider with the little one on the way.

We’ve been looking for about 6 months. Our rate is crazy low but there’s just nothing on the market for longer than 3 days. Last house we bid on sold for 100k over asking. So we’re passively looking but I don’t anticipate buying anything until maybe summer/fall. Market is just too crazy right now here in montco/delco area. In the meantime we’re fine renting where we are and continuing to stash money every month.

So as I thought would happen the attitudes are getting much more aggressive with regard to restrictions, lockdowns, etc as the vaccine starts to rollout.  This just makes sense both from a practical perspective but even more so from a psychological perspective.  However, things are going to get ugly for a while before they get better.

Check the Netherlands as an example.  Riots across the country now for several nights in a row due to 9pm-4:30am curfews.

Call it whatever you want but the fact remains that it is a problem and one that will only increase. What’s your plan to deal with it other than calling out the "stupid card”?

It will be funny only if my test now scheduled for Thursday comes back negative.

I had a similar situation and was tested 5 days later and came back negative.  3 days later I had COVID. Have to mention I had an ER visit before testing negative. That’s most likely where I picked it up.

I will stay out of the ER then. Today I feel fine, so does the wife. Test is scheduled for tomorrow late afternoon at a CVS drive through.

I got lucky, I just found a home with everything I was looking for on the first try. I looked at like 8 and we kept talking about the first one. Made an offer that night and got lucky as the owners were in a big hurry to move. You are right though, the housing market is crazy right now.

Yeah so far we've offered on 3 different houses. Each one had been on the market for under 3 days and we offered over asking price. Each one had 10+ offers (one had 40 in the 3 days it was listed) and sold for 25k over, one for 50k over and then the last one for 100k over asking. After the last one I threw in the towel basically. Unless I'm willing to move to hicktown USA we're probably renting for at least another 6 months. Housing market is broken right now it doesn't make any sense. People are paying 500k for houses that aren't worth 375k just because their monthly payment is manageable with the low interest rates and they're putting 5% down. Crazy times.

My plan? To make idiots practice safe pandemic? I don't have one. Do you?

Or are you going to play your "I don't answer actual questions" card?

Yeah that is nuts. I offered 10k below asking and they accepted. I probably should have offered less because I could tell they wanted to sell ASAP, but we, and my wife especially, really liked it (I would have accepted the asking price to be honest). It appraised for a decent amount more than we paid so I am satisfied as far as price goes. And we put 20 percent down.

The difference between me and you is that I acknowldge a problem even if I don't have a good solution to propose.  You simply yell "stupid" but don't care to address the fact that there is a real problem and take it seriously.

For this one, the only answer is clear communication and an understanding that it isn't unreasonable for someone to get upset for being put under a curfew.  It doesn't mean they shouldn't handle the curfew anyway and not riot.

Thanks. Yeah I’m most worried about the plate he handed me. It’s def unlikely but I’m nervous. Wife is pregnant and certainly don’t want to deal with this. Certainly the last people we will be seeing until vaccination. I didn’t even want to go to this thing my wife is the one that knows them.

From what experts have told me, its highly unlikely you'd get it from that. Was he wearing a mask at least?

Or maybe if they didn't wait until the last minute to impose mask mandates, they wouldn't have had to even impose a curfew in the first place.

No, the difference is that I answer questions as best I can. You prevaricate as if on a life mission.

If me calling people who won't social distance and wear masks stupid offends you, that sounds like a personal problem to me. I don't have a better word for it.

i'm hoping that enough of these STUPID people decline the vaccine so i'll get mine sooner.

Last night on the news they said "Vaccine denial" is a major problem that we must confront. No we don't. If people don't want the vaccine and get covid and die, that's their choice.

Let's see if that holds.  Show me how  you even get to this destination over the last five posts.  Where exactly did I not give you an honest answer to a question you posed and where did I not do my best to answer it?

I presented a short term termporary yet growing problem for western society and your answer was "they are stupid".  Your answer most certainly didn't offend me.  Where exactly did you get that idea?  It looks to me like you're offended because I called you out for not adding any value.

This. Once I am vaccinated, I am no longer reliant on others being responsible (masks, distancing). Let Darwin take over and kill off the idiots.

IMO, three masks are great, but four masks are even better. I'm ahead of the curve.

So, the more PPE you wear, the less risk there is of catching the disease?

Golly!

I think you all should gorilla glue all of your faces holes shut.  Just to be safe
