There's significant overlap between these two groups, so you can't just add them together.

Of course but without knowing that number I’m putting a loose estimate on the outlook and pace at which we’re  vaccinating and it’s spreading.  The point is we need to get people vaccinated if we ever want it to "go away” which I don’t think will ever happen

Not even may yet and the positivity in here is starting to fade

You, of all people, think positivity is fading? No way, man.

It will probably end up being more than half of that 32M getting the shot at the very least, likely more. In any case, you guys have to realize that most states just recently opened up eligibility to all adults, so that effect on cases won't be seen for another month or two at least. That's why I said you guys need to check back in around mid-June before getting too bent out of shape on the outlook of where we might be headed.

Which brings us back to forced vaccinations. Maybe not by the government but there are ways to do it as have already been said

PA is basically at 25% full vaccination, 41% w/ one dose. That's further than I would have assumed we'd gotten, so it's ramped up pretty good. I would think things should drop off soon here, but we'll have to see how much the J&J fiasco slows things down. I think the cycle is going to help us, since we'll be vaccinating and the weather will be in its most favorable period.

Don't be conned by the false positivity

109 years, I can confidently say in 109 years the pandemic will have mutated into something far worse, on top of the climate disaster and endless wars

But let's ignore the 564,000 that died from COVID. What a Fing chode.

It's not hopeless. Let's just hope the other vaccines don't have a consistent side effect like this.

I am sure the NY post and others like them are desperately trying to find someone that got seriously ill and link it to the vaccines

Could be total coincidence, agreed. None of the other cases lines up with "stroke hours later". The damage is long done though.

Just an FYI for education:

Only one ischemic stroke was reported after a Johnson & Johnson vaccination, with 10 reported cases for the Moderna vaccine and 21 for the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine.

This really isn't difficult. Want to get people to take the vaccine? Simple. Anyone who gets COVID after 9/30/21 and wasn't vaccinated (assuming they were eligible) will not have their medical care covered by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, etc. If you choose to be irresponsible, then deal with the consequences of your actions.

Now, that would be easiest, but it will never happen. Luckily, the market will step in. Want to fly on a plane? Show proof of vaccination. Go to a baseball game? Concert? School? Chuck E Cheese? Make those who choose to be idiots sit in their homes all day. Government can't force someone to get a vaccine, but businesses are free to refuse service to anyone they want.

You think it will go over well when it turns out that, contrary to the prevailing media narrative, it's actually minorities that are most likely to resist getting vaccinated?

The CDC is reporting demographic characteristics, including race/ethnicity, of people receiving COVID-19 vaccinations at the national level. As of April 13, 2021, CDC reported that race/ethnicity was known for just over half (55%) of people who had received at least one dose of the vaccine. Among this group, nearly two thirds were White (65%), 11% were Hispanic, 9% were Black, 5% were Asian, 1% were American Indian or Alaska Native, and <1% were Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, while 9% reported multiple or other race.

As long as rags like the NY post are out there it does not matter, find someone that got the vaccine and then was sick and just imply it is the because of the vaccine, truth is irrelevant

Don’t forget 40% of Republican men. You’re a minority too! Don’t exclude yourself.

Um, you would expect for historically underserved ethnic communities to also lag behind in vaccination.  White people have much better access.

Congratulations! You now understand systemic racism!

Uh huh. They don’t ask your race when you’re signing up.  All you’re doing is playing along with the dishonest narrative.

Um, lots of people have their race listed in their medical records. Most doctors have your ethnicity on record. Are you saying the records are "fake news?"

Swing and a miss.

It's true that, for whatever reason, minorities are typically more hesitant to get vaccinated. You could make an argument that things like the Tuskegee experiments justify their concerns, but I can't really get on board with that line of thinking now given the situation we are in.
