Kz, are you just putting on a show or are you actually scared of the vaccine?

Vaccines never scare me. It's the blood clots and accidental paralysis that keep me up at night.

But a disease that fills your lungs up with liquid sounds more appealing?

Even with 99.9999999% safety?

Just for fun - imagine having a country that wasn't full of obese, sedentary slobs.  Covid would have been just a cold and this thread wouldn't exist!

There are families out there struggling to eat.

I'll let you guys beta test the mRNA vaccines and when I am sufficiently convinced there are no long term side effects I will get it. Until then I will continue not being fat, so my chances of becoming seriously ill because of coronavirus are nearly nonexistent. Deal?

So far I’ve found the main side effect to be crap-posting on the EMB

No deal.

Get the vaccine, loser.

Interesting, might be fun to get the vaccine just so I can feel what that's like, you know?

Dave actually just convinced me to get it one post up, but since you called me a name, I'm not going to now.

Think of it this way.  You're what?  30?  35?  On average, you'll live another 40 years or so.  That's 40 years of trolling on message boards and generally wasting the air and resources we all need for the betterment of no-one.  If the vaccine takes you early (which has happened to exactly no one at the moment, but could conceivably happen at some point), those are valuable resources someone more worthy can use.  Plus, as an added benefit, you'll contribute to herd immunity, helping taking out this virus and saving countless more lives.  When you think about it like that, it's a no brainer.

Sorry, Van, flattery isn't going to get you anywhere now after you called me a name earlier. The answer is still no.

Seriously. This is what food insecurity looks like. Because when you finally get food, when you aren't used to eating square meals all the time, you gorge yourself. You don't know where the next meal is coming from. Also you'll eat crap food that isn't good for you, because you don't know what food you will be able to get next.

I'm just trying to help.  40 years of trolling and stocking shelves vs. the sweet relief of the afterlife?  Seems like a win-win.

Jesus.

In all seriousness Kz, my wife and I and our teen-age daughter all have gotten both shots.  Only our 11-year-old daughter hasn’t gotten hers yet.  You’ll be fine, man.

I fully support you in not getting any life saving medicines of any kind.

Do we all agree that people who don't get vaccinated should be dropped from their health insurance?  None of us want to pay for freeloaders to milk us to pay for expensive treatment of a disease when a cheap solution is available.

I'm speechless.  Guess her uber eats driver was running 10 minutes late with her 4th dinner.

Oh yeah, my whole family, my wife's family, and my wife have all gotten it. My wife had a pretty bad reaction to the second dose with chills and a temp of 101 the night of the second dose and for most of the two days after. Pretty much every young person I know that's had the vaccine had a similar reaction and all the older people I know had no symptoms.

I'm not really afraid it will kill me or anything, I'd just prefer seeing the more long term effects of it before I get one. I was especially turned off by talks of a 3rd booster shot later in the year. That and I really don't feel like feeling sick for a few days because of it. Eff all that noise. Seems like a lot of hassle for something I can avoid by practicing good hygiene and staying away from sick people. And, again, if I happen to get it, there's little chance I'll become seriously ill. Plus it makes Van mad, so there's a lot of checks in the pros column, you know?

You agree with this though, right?

You just crushed universal healthcare argument in one statement.

Well, I'm assuming that Kz disagrees with universal healthcare, so it stands to reason that he would agree that his healthcare should be dropped as long as he avoids vaccination.

Or maybe he's willing to pay more on his individual policy for him taken the increased health risk.  His body, his choice.  I doubt they would deem it un-insurable since that would set a precedent to drop every person who has a condition that makes them high risk like obesity.  That's something that can be avoided to with some simple effort and self control.  Dems fought hard so no one could be denied insurance.
