The banana peel is for scale. If you need it, I'll need to replace it for my other staged photos.

Can't go any lower than $375k.

It's not that I need it, it's that I WANT it. $400k and I'll let you take the appliances with you.

What’s the lot size, and do we get air rights?  Or is it just a home that we have to move to our own property?

I’ll go 10% over ask but I want the seller to pay to add a pool.

It does look like a small pond is next to the house already, so would that be sufficient?

Dad sends heartbreaking text before death: ‘I should have gotten the damn vaccine’

https://www.foxnews.com/us/vaccine-dad-sends-heartbreaking-text-before-death

Michael Freedy, 39, had gone on vacation with fiancée Jessica du Preez and their children, ages 17, 10, 7, 6 and 17 months, in mid-July

Quote

Freedy died at the hospital Thursday morning with du Preez by his side.

"I was at the hospital visiting Mike and telling him all about our kids’ day and how everyone was pulling for him," du Preez posted on a GoFundMe page. "His numbers crashed and they were not able to bring them back up.

"The love of my life, my rock, my everything. The father to my babies, is no longer with us. I don’t know what to do."

Freedy was not vaccinated — though his fiancée said the couple had planned on becoming so eventually.

Thanks DeSantis and Abbott!

We're close with our realtor and apparently it's getting better, but still we got SO lucky. The interest rates are much better now but we just refinanced so really got the best of both worlds.

I've been thinking about doing a refi but I've always been told that it's pretty much not worth it unless you can drop at least a whole percentage point after all the fees and such. The way rates are now I'm right on the cusp of that number so idk.

Stopped at my parents' this morning, and my dad had his Morning Joe on. They were talking about the NY teacher's union is opposing vaccine mandates. Wtf. If you're a teacher who won't get vaccinated, you need to find another line of work. Periodt. Full stop (as the kids say).

Unions, amirite? <_<

I know some people who have caught Covid and had absolutely no issues with it, including one that said he was sleepy for a week and another who felt like he had a mild cold for a couple of day. I also know people who have had awful reactions to the vaccines. At my age/weight and with my eating and exercise habits, I simply don't have any fear of coronavirus. I know that upsets a lot of people, but I just don't. It really is that simple.

Plus, I just don't trust vaccines that spent, what, less than a year in development? J&J can't even make baby powder without giving people testicular cancer. I don't like the idea of being injected with coronavirus vaccine every six to twelve months for the rest of my life. No thanks.

Plus, plus, as an added bonus it makes ishlibs really angry and that makes me happy.

My SIL (early 40’s and healthy) caught COVID last Christmas. She had what would register as a somewhat mild case - no hospitalization but was more or less completely laid up for about a week and a half. But she still hasn’t regained her sense of taste some 7 months later. How many people with ‘severe’ reactions to the vaccine continue to have lasting symptoms nearly a year later?

DeSantis is pro vaccine. Can't help the state has the highest population of idiots

Pretty much. I feel the same way about teachers as I do medical workers: If you are going to be present in that job, you should be vaccinated. Unless you had some adverse reaction to the vaccine... Then you should also really think twice if you are in the right profession, to be exposed in that job without vaccination. Perhaps a teacher could take a sabbatical for a year or two until the dangerous threat blows over; I don't think a medical worker can.

Yeah, too little too late for how he has handled COVID over the past year. He has been awful.

Yeah, I read that story. Very sad. They were "waiting a year" to make sure the vaccines don't have any reactions. He was also very much obese. Educating people on the fact that vaccines never have reactions past 3 months and that COVID is destroying overweight people might help but I have a feeling people won't listen anyway.

Having a lung issue that the docs still have not figured out, I was hesitant to get vaccinated. I waited until March of this year. I did a lot of research and decided my odds were way better with the vaccine than without.

Yeah. DeSantis took a victory lap reopening the state too soon, not supporting other mitigation efforts including facemasks... Knowing full-well his state is full of idiots. He's not the type of leader I'm looking for.
