They were talking about the NY teacher's union is opposing vaccine mandates. Wtf. If you're a teacher who won't get vaccinated, you need to find another line of work. Periodt. Full stop (as the kids say). Unions, amirite? They must hate America.

I saw that - but WGB told him to STOP (in all caps) so I'm quite certain he's deleted his handle on here and is currently cowering in fear wherever he is.

Figures he'd go spreading his anti-vax BS in TATE now that he's given up doing it in here.

Brks is still posting about it but hasn't gone full Berenson at least.
August 3, 20214 yr So many cases, you just don't hear about them because it doesn't fit the narrative: Very sad.

I did a lot of research and decided my odds were way better with the vaccine than without. I know some people are concerned given that this mRNA technology is new and as such isn't totally comparable with traditional vaccines but I think the logic you've laid out right here in this post is the way to go. There are risks with everything but in this case taking the vaccine seems like a no brainer for pretty much anyone.

I have an office job and wasn't moving around much anyway, but obviously when Covid hit, and I was working from home, I noticed how very little I was moving. I gained 15 pounds in the first 3-4 months of Covid. I started walking over my lunch breaks and that started taking the weight off. Now I jog 3 miles a day and the impact its had on my health has been nothing short of miraculous. My weight is down (lost all my Covid weight and then some), my BP is down, my resting heartrate is waaaay down (meaning my heart is working more efficently). This entire epidemic should be a teachable moment for us as Americans to start exercising and taking better care of ourselves. Yep and full lockdowns forcing people to be holed up inside for extended periods of time in places like France, Spain, and Australia (still even now) probably wasn't the smartest thing to do.

He doesn't want to take a chance on these risky experimental vaccines. Instead he'll take ivermectin off-label despite the lack of evidence of its efficacy and not being approved by the FDA.
August 3, 20214 yr Has anyone here had any serious side effects to the vaccine? doubt it but know of people having serious problems after getting covid

No other flu symptoms, just tired and achy..
August 3, 20214 yr Both my wife and I had a single 10hr period of feeling super tired the day after our 2nd Pfizer shot. My wife had a very low grade fever for a few hours and I had no other symptoms other than feeling tired. It didn't prevent either of us from carrying out our normal day of work, etc.

August 3, 20214 yr Parents, mask up at home "It’s clear that this variant is capable of causing serious injury in children. You have heard those stories coming out of Louisiana pediatric ICUs where there are kids as young as a few months old who are sick from this. That is rare, certainly younger people are less likely to fall ill, but anyone that tried to tell you ‘Ah, you don’t have worry about it if you’re a young, healthy person,’ there’s many counterexamples all around us now. Which means recommendations of mask-wearing in schools and at home. Parents of unvaccinated kids should be thoughtful about this, and the recommendation is to wear masks there as well. I know that’s uncomfortable, I know it seems weird, but it is the best way to protect your kids.” - Francis Collins, NIH Director
August 3, 20214 yr I mean, maybe he isn't wrong but the CDC and NIH suck at social science. I'm a big proponent of technocracy. But if the goal is to minimize the spread you need to work in your messaging so that it doesn't become toxic to half the country.

Both my wife and I got a little sore in the arm and my triceps swelled up like I was injected with super soldier serum and that lasted like 4 days. All after the second shot.
August 3, 20214 yr Settle down people What is this guy's point? Parents should wear masks around their unvaccinated kids if they are out of the home but indoors somewhere yet they don't need to wear one around their unvaccinated kids at home?
