Pfizer was really holding back until they got that US PO.

It goes well beyond development.  It also allows them to begin to plan production to scale.  Far greater scale than they ever would without a guaranteed customer.  It greatly sped up the entire process.  Continue to delude yourself into believing it didn't.

Nobody "fought him every step of the way"

They were skeptical that a president who hawked hydroxychloroquine, talked about injecting disinfectant, and using UV light to combat Covid might try to market a vaccine that wasn't effective.

Every comment democrats made that Republicans now bandy about was couched in skepticism that Trump himself earned, but always with the qualification that they would follow the science on them.

Biden got vaccinated as soon as he could. And he did so very publicly to help encourage confidence in the vaccines.

They flatout send they wouldn't take it because it was developed under his administration

Blame for creating vaccines? I'm not sure what you are asking.

If you mean the total response, I'd say I disagreed with a lot of his decisions, but I'm not sure it would have made much a difference. People are idiots and have proven it royally during this pandemic.

But as far as the vaccine, he did absolute nothing that warrants "credit". The really smart people in lab coats deserve all the credit, there is none left for politicians as far as developing a vaccine.

Thats just silly

But that means Biden shoudnt get any credit, either, right?

Give Trump credit for the vaccine? He's a fu**ing moron. How dare anyone suggest giving him credit for a vaccine or any other medical/scientific discovery.

As mentioned, without Trump theyre likely still testing vaccines and billions are dead.  Come back to reality

pfizer didnt take the money because their leadership detrmined they could roll out a vaccine faster without the extra red tape.

Fact

Trump put the program together to offer help and pharma companies took the help, the result is vaccines.

Give credit where its due

Let the idiots have their fantasy. It's the only way they can try to deflect from the fact that their guy was an abject failure when we needed him most. Hundreds of thousands dead, many needlessly due to his incompetence. In times of crisis, he proved to be an even bigger moron than we all could've fathomed.

How many deaths are Bidens fault?

If anything, you should have realized that nothing more could have been done to prevent this.  Counties with the most stringent rules and restrictions still got hit hard.  But youre a TDS hack and your brain no longer fully functions, so you have horrible takes like this

Pfizer didn’t take any money from the federal government for the development of the vaccine.  They did this on purpose.  As has already been explained to you, they estimated that if they took money for development, which would come with strings and red tape, that it would slow their development down as compared to what they could do if they didn’t take any money.   And they were right, as they ended up being the first company to come up with a viable vaccine.  Beating out companies that were part of the development part of Operation Warp Speed.

How many people in here have a vaccine other than pfizer???

Im one.  Are you?

Trump and his goons did absolutely NOTHING after the election to get a vaccine rollout plan done.  That was done by Biden's people who weren't even in Washington yet.

For creating the vaccine? Of course not. The entire idea of crediting a politician for the work of researchers is silly.

Hillary would have signed the same pieces of paper to expedite the release of a vaccine for a pandemic. So would literally any idiot that happened to be in office.

No, they didn't.

Here are their statements:

"Well, I think that's going to be an issue for all of us. I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump. And it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he's talking about. I will not take his word for it. He wants us to inject bleach. I — no, I will not take his word."

"If the public health professionals, if Dr. Fauci, if the doctors tell us that we should take it, I’ll be the first in line to take it. Absolutely. But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I’m not taking it."

"Charting a clear path of science-based vaccines, free from politics. I get asked the question: ‘If the president announced tomorrow we have a vaccine, would you take it?’ Only if it was completely transparent, that other experts in the country could look at it, only if we knew all of what went into it. Because so far, nothing he’s told us has been true."

"Americans have had to endure President Trump’s incompetence and dishonesty, when it comes to testing and personal protective equipment. We can’t afford to repeat those fiascos when it comes to a vaccine. … Let me be clear: I trust vaccines, I trust scientists, but I don’t trust Donald Trump, and at this moment, the American people can’t either. Last week, Senator Harris and I laid out three questions this administration’s going to have to answer to assure the American people that politics will not play a role whatsoever in the vaccine process. If Donald Trump can’t give answers and the administration can’t give answers to these three questions, the American people should not have confidence."

Those are the full statements from Biden and Harris last summer. Not chopped up and taken out of context. It's clear that they are saying that they will trust vaccines endorsed by actual experts who have been part of a transparent process in vaccine development, and not take the word of a president who had been suggesting we inject ourselves with disinfectant.

One can be skeptical of something recommended by a con-man carnival barker while still accepting the recommendation of the same product by actual doctors, scientists, and researchers.

No. Whoever else was president would have taken the same steps Trump did to expedite a vaccine. Please get off those orange nuts...no sitting president wants a pandemic to drag on.

Yes, billions are dead if not for Donald Trump. And we are the ones that need to come back to reality.

Would've been billions, Mike. Billions of deaths on Biden's hands if Trump hadn't made the vaccines. I mean, he's basically saint Donald at this point. Let's get the Vatican on the horn and get him canonized asap.

They were clearly playing politics and engendering doubt in the vaccines SOLELY because of their will to gain political power.  Thats the only way they beat Trump, they knew it was their only chance, so they played politics and sowed mistrust in the vaccine.   Theres no other way to slice it and the fact that you are trying to change the context of their comments is a joke.

They cared more about winning the election and ishing on Trump than protecting Americans and there's no other way around it.  You cant explain it away, thats what they did
