August 9, 20214 yr Obama's birthday party had testing and vaccination requirements for all persons in attendance. Insofar as they could confidently hold a large gathering without masks, they did. Bad optics. Definitely not the smartest thing to do because idiots who don't care that they took significant steps to ensure it was a safe event would use it as a political cudgel. But I have my doubts that the orange former president would take the level of care that the Obamas did for any gatherings they have. (Herman Cain says hi. oh, wait, no he doesn't.)

While 99% of those testing positive are unvaccinated.

But I'm past the point where I'm going expend energy and emotion on people too stupid or lazy to help protect themselves from a terrible virus during a pandemic. Life is too short. My only concern is my kids who are too young to get vaccinated, and that these morons are giving a lifeline to this virus and we're going to see variants that affect kids more severely being selected as vaccines mitigate spread of other variants. But I also have faith in the medical researchers who have really put their stamp on our time.
