Ivermectin is used to treat parasites. COVID is caused by a virus. The best treatments for COVID is vaccination, as prophylactic. Antiviral medication and monoclonal antibodies (if possible) if ill.

Why should I listen to a somebody on a football team subforum pushing deworming medication to treat a virus?

welp

It's insane how ishlibs think Rogan getting Covid is some huge own on people who are vaccine hesitant. The dude got it at age 54, treated it with a bunch of medicines that ishlibs think are deadly to humans, and beat it in a day. "LMAO take that Rogan! Pfizer's #1!"

Same reason people believe the election was stolen: mental illness

Also Joe Rogan: I was sick for a day and then felt progressively better, and now I'm completely fine.

Still remarkable that ishlibs think this is an own on him.

Kelly nails it again.

It's really too bad he took so many drugs and supplements, all confounding factors. Now we'll never know which one worked!

Most libertarian thing ever to be honest

I think a big takeaway from this is that we absolutely need to explore alternative treatments for Covid. Covid is obviously not going away. The vaccines are obviously not very effective long-term, and, let's face it, somewhere around 50% of the country is probably never going to get the jab. Call them all the names you want: Trumpbots, hillbillies, rubes, blacks. They just aren't going to do it. And newsflash to this thread, there are a lot of people who bit the bullet and got the vaccine out of a feeling of societal obligation that simply aren't going to sign up for the vaccine-subscription service and get never-ending additional boosters every eight six months.

The best thing we can do going forward barring the development of an effective vaccine, is look into therapeutics so people can treat it without getting seriously ill and ending up taking up a valuable hospital bed. I'd hope that's something we can all agree on.

For you, in the event you get infected, you should not investigate how to treat yourself - just let the virus run its course and take your chances with your life.  This material is being posted for everybody else that is interested in treatment with a drug proven to be safe and which has been shown to have anti viral properties in addition to its original intended purposes.

You think it was the vitamin drip that did the trick? My money's on the mermaid tears.

You mean fabrications? Everyone knows the best way to boost your credibility is to make up stories about drugs getting approved in other countries.

Honestly, it was probably simply not being severely overweight that was the most effective, but I guess we'll never know. The important thing is Rogan got completely owned because he was *checks notes* sick for a day.

The really crazy part here is that people are rooting for the Ivermectin treatment to be ineffective.  They'd much rather be right than put an end to all of this.  And of course none of them has a retort to what happened in India.  It's all a bunch of laughing emoticons and smears.  Nothing of substance.

I'm really wasting too much time with knuckleheads here.

True, but you know who was severely overweight and was sick for more than a day?

I'd be happy if a spritz of WD-40 in the sinuses worked.

I am not idiot enough to try. People spreading STUPID info about UNPROVEN drugs are worse than morons.

yeah either get the vaccine or take a drug cocktail that may or may not work.  Tough call.

Can you run through the math again for how taking ivermectin prophylactically is far cheaper than a $20 vaccine shot? Just need a sanity check...

I'd put you in this category from the last month or so of reading your posts on the subject.

Here's a groundbreaking idea - do nothing if you get sick and wait to go to the hospital and get intubated.  Hopefully you won't die.

It’s not going away because not enough people have taken the vaccine.  How many times does this need to be said?

Can you run through the math again for me again how its much cheaper to just let the illness run its course if you get a breakthrough infection only to have to go to the hospital, get intubated and possibly die.

That's an outdated talking point.  Black people have pretty good numbers now.  It's really just the Trumpbot rubes that are off the vax train in huge numbers.
