I remember a story when the vaccine first started to be administered about how the vials are supposed to hold 5 doses. But some viles were slightly overfilled and actually held 6 doses, but they were not allowed to use the extra. Things could have changed since though. Yeah some were able to draw out that extra dose in the vial if they had graduated needles. Just wasnt sure if that needle was still topped out at the right volume already, or if they were using something that could draw out more than the actual dose.

Meeting for Pfizer's pediatric EUA isn't until Oct 26. https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-hold-advisory-committee-meetings-discuss-emergency-use-authorization-booster-doses-and-covid-19 Does this mean that approval for 5-11 year olds could come Oct 26 or within a few days thereafter if everything looks good with the data?

You probably get it from both sides when it comes to parents too, those like me who are tired of waiting, and then the nutbags who think you're killing babies at the behest of Soros. Off-topic question: for administering vaccine doses, does someone in the office or pharmacy have to measure and draw the right amount out of the vial into the needle, or are the needles premeasured so that you just draw back from the vial until the plunger stops? Asking because I'm curious if new needles/vials will have to be distributed if this EUA for the 10ug dose gets approved, or if they can just use whatever they have on hand already and hit the ground running. I'm actually not positive, we haven't been offering it in our office yet because of storage limitations. I think they have to draw out the dose though.

That's the most optimistic timeline. The advisory committee (VRBPAC) meets and votes, then the FDA meets and votes. After that, the CDC advisory committee (ACIP) meets and votes, followed by the CDC itself meeting and voting. In general, the FDA authorizes its use (e.g. yes, it's safe and effective), and the CDC provides guidelines on use (e.g. recommended only for kids in regions with high levels of community spread, no strenuous physical exercise for 7-days following vaccination, etc.) More realistically, using the timeline from how boosters were approved, if the Oct 26th meeting goes well, then the FDA would vote a few days later, followed by ACIP a day or two later, and the CDC the following day or so. So basically, we're into the first week of November would be my guess. The big caveat here is that this assumes a cultist like Cody Meissner doesn't sway the rest of the committee with his "kids arent even at risk from covid" horseshit.

October 7, 20214 yr 3 minutes ago, DEagle7 said: Some of them are pre-filled vials, some of them you draw up a set amount. Damn. Ok so then I'm thinking if a pre-filled process is already in use for other vaccines, it's most likely the same with pfizer and moderna's. Which means this 10mcg dose for kids could require shipment of new vials/needles. If that's the case, my guess is that will push things out another 2-3 weeks or more and appointments will be super limited initially.

Makes sense and is generally consistent with prior timelines that put the best case scenario for approval around the end of October.

Because is brother was administering COVID vaccines and he wanted to confront him about it. so not only did he take his own wife's name (probably to distance himself from his insane family) his brother (see below) killed him. Makes sense based on the photo alone. Poor guy never had a chance. Whack job Trumpers.
