It's been a **** time between misinformation, aggressive PPE protocols, angry patients, keeping up with recommendations, nursing shortages, etc etc. Just exhausting. The burnout is real. Much worse for docs/nurses/techs in critical care settings though so can't complain too much. Did just up my Celexa dose though.

Off-topic question: for administering vaccine doses, does someone in the office or pharmacy have to measure and draw the right amount out of the vial into the needle, or are the needles premeasured so that you just draw back from the vial until the plunger stops? Asking because I'm curious if new needles/vials will have to be distributed if this EUA for the 10ug dose gets approved, or if they can just use whatever they have on hand already and hit the ground running.

I wanna say they have to draw it out. I remember a story when the vaccine first started to be administered about how the vials are supposed to hold 5 doses. But some viles were slightly overfilled and actually held 6 doses, but they were not allowed to use the extra. Things could have changed since though.

Yeah some were able to draw out that extra dose in the vial if they had graduated needles. Just wasnt sure if that needle was still topped out at the right volume already, or if they were using something that could draw out more than the actual dose.

I'm actually not positive, we haven't been offering it in our office yet because of storage limitations. I think they have to draw out the dose though.
