I hope Harris sees the difference it can make watching the Phillies.

Harris just doesn't fit with the team. It's not his fault they have made him a corner 3 point shooter when he is mid range player.

Before we start talking about trading Embiid, I'd like to take a run with him with a better coach.

Coaching is not his issue.

As a rookie, he was thin, springy, and quick. He was a more effective defender. A more effective rim protector. And he could keep up with his team playing at a really fast pace.

He put on weight. He barely gets off the floor. He is too slow to be a great shot blocker because he cant fly across the paint in help defense. He is too slow to defend on the perimeter, and his entire arsenal on the defensive end is allow the guy to blow by, and hope to with with a trailing chase down block.

On offense, he can not keep up with the team when they try to run. In years past, he began only running 3pt line to 3pt line. This year it seems he would rather lay on the court on the other end and not even run to the 3pt line. In the half court, for years now, he is consistently on the perimeter. For a few years he used the excuse that he was making room underneath for Simmons to drive. Taking one for the team so to speak. Sacrificing dominating in the post so that Ben could get to the only spot on the court where Ben could be successful. Admirable, although frustrating. However, Ben has been gone, and Embiid still wants no part of the low post. Not admirable at all.

Harden is a great lob guy. He and Joel run pick and roll constantly in games, but Joel most of the time would rather pop instead of roll to the rim. All he wants to do is shoot jump shots.

He is so big, and talented, he can thrive in box scores with the skills that he has. But its not effective to win games in todays NBA against the elite teams. His perimeter ISOs take all the time off the shot clock. He gets doubled and turns the ball over. For short periods of time in each season, it looks like he improves his passing and vision, but the turnovers always come back and plague him. He has never permanently improved that aspect of his game.

Regardless of coaching, these are permanent changes necessitated by his body, and lack of durability.

Leadership is lacking. Who ever talks about him as a great team guy? All we hear is he encouraged Ben to shoot more. He and the rest of the team encourage Maxey to be consistently aggressive. But, he never really built a relationship with Ben. Which would have been vitally important to the teams success when they were to 2 young buildingblocks of a potential championship team. And the team through their tenure has alway suffered from letdown games where Philly thinks they are too good and can coast against bad teams, and ends up losing. We already heard that again this year against the Spurs. He is lazy. As the face of the franchise, his teams are always prone to coming out extremely flat. He does not motivate. Instead of being passionate on the court when things are going bad, and demanding excellence from his team, he is often the one turning the ball over, and then moping.  He has always been motivated by the MVP race. An individual accolade.

No coach is going to make him faster again. No coach is going to be able to keep him healthy enough in the post-season. Theyve tried a ton of rest. Theyve tried less rest. Neither approach worked. He has never been healthy enough to carry the team through a post-season. And at this point, his style of play is becoming more of a hinderance. At this point even if he was healthy, Im not sure we want what he brings.

Its not how teams win in todays NBA.

We havent gotten out of the 2nd round. And the only team with an arguably better Center since he actually wins MVP, the nuggets- havent really been close to winning anything either.

Josh Harris. I hope he sees what changing a manager/coach can do.

how is cleveland's bench looking this season?  we could probably get a few of those guys for embiid to add some depth.

truth. honestly, even a guy like chris boucher would give them more of what they need at pf....3 point shooting and length/occasional shot blocking.

They got Mobley and Jarrett Allen, they fit well with Garland and Mitchell. Where Embiid wouldn't.

Embiid fits with shooters and secondary guys like Jrue holiday. Team still isn't constructed that way with Harden loves to pound the ball into the ground.

He's trying to make fun of me liking a Cleveland package centered around Sexton, Nance and picks for Ben Simmons last year.

Ultimately,  it would have been way better than getting Harden.

Pretty sure Cleveland would have done Garland at the beginning of the trade rumors

Ume is known as a tough coach but a good defensive mind. If he can't make Ben good this year, then it is really over for him.

Y'all should see the Nets highlights against the Bulls.  Kyrie did not want to be there.  4 points in 33 minutes.  No effort at all.   He basically quit on them.  Ben was a DNP again.  That organization is a mess.

Of course, last year I declared the Cs a mess at one point and they ended up in the Finals.  <_<

What would Ben get in a trade right now?  Do you think they'd take a 2nd just so we could get him back and sit him on the bench for fans to boo every night?

We have no 2's for like 20 years due to tampering.....

I wish Ben could’ve gotten Doc fired as easily as he got Nash fired.

Pieces for a team like the Jazz or Spurs. Go play where no one cares

He was an assistant with Brown and coached Ben then.

Team just cant seem to make stops when they are trying to fight for a lead.

Maxey gets hot in the 3rd, and we can only tie. Cant ever take a lead. No D.

Lost to the Wizards. Fire Doc and Morey.

Cabs have passed the Sixers, their starting 5 is good good.

glenn was using lineups with niang at center...i'm absolutely shocked it didn't work.
