popcorn happened first.

But they both happened last night right? I was watching ESPN at the Cafe this morning and maybe I didn't catch the right segment but I saw them talk about the popcorn but not the spitting incident

Matisse Thybulle was an absolute beast on the defensive end. He is going to be huge against the Nets if both teams make it to that point

any word on seth? i don't think he went back in the game after limping off the court.

I'm not a huge basketball fan, I pretty much just follow standings and scoreboard watch during the regular season and catch games as they're on in the playoffs. Hopefully the sixers can bring it home, you die hards deserve it after the past like decade+.

Hopefully one of these nights the sixers will be on tnt and I can watch

They're on ESPN Saturday night at 7.

He came back out but I don't remember if he played again.  I think he'll be fine.  Especially with this wacky playoff schedule of two full days off in between each game.

Not only that but if he needs rest the sixers can insert George hill (or thybulle) into the starting lineup if they want in this series and be fine and still likely win in 4 or 5 games. The hawks/Knicks series seems destined to go 6 or 7 games so when this series is over likely getting an extra 5-7 days

Still nothing on ESPN about the spitting incident, but the popcorn thing is front and center.  Everyone is currently pushing the narrative that it's so great that the Knicks are back in the playoffs and how wonderful the fans at MSG are, etc. etc. so I'm sure it will be ignored.

You mean against the Bucks

I have to watch one more Nets game but I might be starting to agree with you.  I understand they are beating on the Celtics but the Celtics stink.

The nets during the regular season even if it was a bad Celtics team they weren’t playing defense. They have played way better on that end in the first two games of the series then pretty much all of the regular season. Giving up 100.5 points per game (would be less but it was a laugher and didn’t really play anyone much of the 4th). Celtics are shooting 39.8 percent (70/176) and 35.9% from 3. Its only been two games but when the nets even against bad teams generally didn’t play good defense.

Besides the Celtics not having Brown and being absolutely terrible, they have no length.  Obviously when they play the Bucks next round, we will have a better indication.  But I would not be surprised if they beat the Nets.

Doesn’t takeaway from the fact the nets played worse teams than the current Celtics over the course of this year and defensively were really bad regardless. They’ve been excellent in this series defensively. It could crumble eventually but the first two games of the playoffs they clearly have played immensely better on that end of the floor then where they had been all year even vs. awful teams.

Every team ramps it up more for the playoffs, including the Nets.

Apparently not the Celtics or clippers. It’s ok to say the nets have played really well defensively so far when they haven’t all year long. It legitimately is the best back to back defensive performances they’ve had all year (includes games vs. cavs and magic and other horrible teams), when now they are fully healthy.

Celts weren't a good team with Brown.  Without him they're even worse.  Kemba's knees are going and he's not a Kyrie level player.  I expected the Nets to dispatch of them easily and the Sixers would've, too.  Ainge really messed up the golden goose BK handed him.  He's so stingy that he found and Stevens developed two good All-Star level players in the draft and then surrounded them by trash instead of coughing up any of his plethora of picks/role players for a true superstar.  He overplayed his hand and that team will be middling around for a while.

The talent gap between the top and bottom teams in the East is huge.  West...not so much.

No one is saying the Celtics are good. However the nets defense even against the cavs, magic, other bad teams in the world was BAD all year. So the fact they actually are playing high level defense even against a mediocre to below average Celtics team is still a massive improvement for them.

danny ainge completely screwed the Celtics by being greedy with his picks and always trying to win the deals instead of making the move and biting the bullet.

He was banned as well as the Sixers dude.

Nice.  Sixers dude was a season ticket holder.  Imagine throwing away that right when the team is a championship contender because you're an ass and felt the need throw popcorn on an injured player who was actively hurting his team on the court.  Fing moron.

My first thought when they announced he was a season ticket holder. And where those seats are i can't imagine they were cheap. I believe it also said all WFC events, so if he wants to go to a flyers game or concert (idk if they do those at WFC since LFF and CBP are right there) he's Fed. Complete idiot

I mean that's just stupid - Beal is the second best player on either team after Embiid, but from there on it's all Sixers really.  I guess you could argue Westbrook over Green and maybe Curry, but I wouldn't take him over Harris.

Neto > anybody is pretty ridiculous to begin with.

Russ and popcorn thrower
