It could be a couple things:

1.  Accumulate assets to try to trade for Beal or Dame at some point

2.  Playing hard ball and then loosening his deals closer to trade deadline to get the most return

honestly,  i would rather just get the best package for him and trade those assets we get back from that and use maxey or thybulle or both to get a star player, simmons isnt going give us a  star they are not dumb enough to give up that kind of value for him. if he was different in the playoffs, probably a different story.

im just hoping that morey isnt going over his head with this because they could get ugly fast if he doesnt trade him, it's not going to make morey look good and the fanbase could just stop watching this team because they know ben is going to screw this up again and who knows how embiid is going to feel about this like i said he could want out,  morey cannot let ben back here.

Vin Fosh saying trade is imminent, Fred Vanvleet, Boucher, 4 for Ben Simmons, 28….I’d take that in a heartbeat but he’s obviously just throwing crap on the wall to see if it sticks and he gets lucky

Wish Vin was legit. Thats a home run. VanVleet and Suggs, back court is rebuilt.

Theyve recently worked out a bunch of centers. Probably a guy like Garza of Queta at 50. With Boucher added in that trade as a stretch 4...Back court fixed, front court depth added. Could start off the offseason so well for us.

I forgot Dinwiddie is a free agent.

People love Morey cause he got lucky with James Harden and because he worked with Hinkie 🙄. Morey looks like a big mouth tool to me

could. Boucher seems to be rapidly ascending. 

Im not sure who for though. It seems the most perfect Tobi trade has always been McCollum. So much so that no one else has ever been suggested and discussed. However with that Fosh trade, you dont need another guard. Need a wing to most likely replace/upgrade Danny Green.

Seems Paul George is off limits. Cant probably have Ingram for Harris without paying a whole lot of extra stuff. Not sure who else might be out there.

I didnt realize Boucher was already 28. He was a 25 year old rookie. 

But his per 36 is 20ppg, 10reb, 2.8 blocks while shooting 38% from 3. 21 PER. Seems he would be an acceptable starter. 

Hes an unrestricted free agent after this season though. 

A lot of realgm people dont seem realistic with their valuation of Ben. FVV, Boucher, and Pick4/Suggs is a very fair return for Ben and a late 1st. 

I guess it doesnt help people ground their expectations when you see tweets about Morey asking for 4 1sts, a swap, and a good player from San Antonio. Thats nuts. 

Hopefully it just means they dont have the kind of players to entice him so he needs to ask for a ton of picks from them. Hopefully thats not his typical asking price from every team. Otherwise, we will never trade ben. Not now. Not at the deadline either. 

I have to work in the office, and then stay after closing to help with another high school's physicals. Probably till about 7:30, and about an hour from home. Im pissed to me missing the start of the draft. 

But I would be so ecstatic if by the grace of god I see this notification on my phone tomorrow and this is the foshbomb that finally sticks. 

It works with the cap. It makes a ton of sense with our needs. 2 add those players and still the excitement of selecting Suggs. Im getting my hopes up too much for a fosh bomb.

that's not terrible if it really does include pick 4.

that trade by the way, while it works within the cap matching constraints, we would be sending about 6 million more salary than we receive. So, that creates another trade exception for us.

Thatd be like 8M from Horford, and 6 Million from the hypothetical raptors trade. And the 5.3M MLE.

nah...boucher isn't starter material...decent stretch big off the bench though. Nice upgrade over unplayable mike scott, for sure.

Probably never have to complain about the bench for quite a while then.

I was just kidding, sort of. But I looked it up and he can reply for re-instatement this summer. So.. we might actually see him become a free agent. 30 years old, on a vet min, I actually wouldnt mind kicking those tires.

If we have to add Maxey to that deal to make it happen, do you still pull the trigger?  I say yes.  I would try to give them Shake first.
