If we can get that kind of production from Drummond in that amount of minutes, consistently thats going to be a heck of a boost to the team. In addition to those 3 stat categories, he also had 4 blocks. And made 7 out of 8 FTs.

You won't see those stats when it comes to blocks and FT shots once regular season starts. He has improved some on the FT line but nowhere close.to.that level. He isn't a good defender either at least not to that level.

Go save Garland

"This is the year where the Cavs will decide if Collin Sexton and Darius Garland are truly the Starting Backcourt of the Future,” Amico wrote. "I’ve repeatedly been told that decision hasn’t been reached. The Cavs are hopeful that it is — but they aren’t sure.”

I mean that is what Drummond has done his whole career, but empty stats as a starter. Hopefully as a back up he can be more impactful.

only 3 assists from the starting pg...that's not gonna cut it in the regular season.

21 minutes....

In 34 or so minutes,  hopefully you can get a consistent 5 from him.

Hopefully that's not our starting lineup either.  Embiid and Harris both didn't play, Green played 10 minutes.  It's preseason.  Let's put away the jump to conclusion mat atm.

Sixers averaged 23.9 assists per game which is best for 19th in the league and Simmons averaged 6.9 per game. The Knicks were 30th at 21.2.

With Embiid being an average to below average passing big man. I do think this is a cause for concern because Embiid is really the only shot creator this team has and the others need help getting shots off. Why Fox, who isn't a great shooter yet, but can get guys involved might be Sixers best option. His ability to play pick and roll with Joel along with his speed helps everyone on the court.

Maxey, can also go back to a role his is most comfortable with and that is get buckets.

fox would be great...good distributor, good on defense, great at creating & getting to the hoop. agreed on maxey. he's more of a lou will type...scoring guard in a pg's body.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst called the Pacers a "sleeper" team to deal for Simmons last week, and on Tuesday SNY's NBA insider Ian Begley reported he's heard from sources close to the situation that the Pacers and Sixers have indeed been chatting about Simmons, and an interesting name came up during the discussions:

"League sources confirm that the Pacers are among the teams who have talked to the Philadelphia 76ers about a potential Simmons trade. Caris LeVert was among the players brought up in those communications, per SNY sources.

It is unknown if talks between Philadelphia and Indiana have progressed beyond run-of-the-mill contact."

He had a stress fracture in his back and multiples injuries before that.  Is this guy going to be healthy?

Actually think that’s why he would even be made available. Plus salary doesn’t work so it’s likely include brogdon and I’m guessing picks with levert’s injury and past injuries

I could live with that I guess?

I’m really high on levert if he’s healthy. He’s a really good SF. And you get a nice point guard to run the show until maxey is ready and can play alongside brogdon at that point. I also don’t think it’s out of the question it’s a move that can eventually lead to another move down the road. The picks and levert and eventually brogdon being an expiring contract might be more enticing to a team down the road willing to make a trade

Sixers should be over the moon with Levert and Brodgen even without the picks. Hell, let's help them find a suitor for Myles Turner and get more guys.

Still no lead guard, but to me Buddy is going to be traded for cheap and a top 3 to 5 shooter with Joel is gold.

I actually think that trade makes sense for the pacers. The pacers aren’t getting a star to go to Indy. If they believe Ben can still be that it’s worth it to them to try. The only way they are going to get a potential star is by making a trade like this.

Brogdon is a good player just not a Star. His value is really to trade now or next offseason as an expiring contract. Levert is a good player not a Star. Who’s had some unfortunate injury luck. The first round picks are likely not great picks. Indiana likely being in the 8-10 seed range this year with Ben. So late lottery pick next year. In 2024 Ben is in year 3 with the pacers and Rick C. They could be better or status quo. So if they stink it’s top 10 protected so they aren’t losing that pick that year. Then they can actually deal Ben to get more picks and expiring contracts if he wants out.

If maxey could develop into a really good point their lineup and depth would be awesome. I think maxey is a combo guard that we are hoping becomes a better point guard.

Pg- maxey

sg— hield

sf—levert

PF— harris

C— embiid

Bench: curry, thybulle, green, kork, niang, joe, reed, Drummond and shake

If they had more trust in Harris to bring up the ball and initiate offense then would do below. I would trust Levert as a shot creator to start the offense as much as Maxey in these stages of their careers.

Levert, Buddy, Thybulle, Harris, Embiid

And just let Maxey and Curry play along side guys that know how to set screens and let them extend leads with the 2nd unit. In crunch time you can still play Maxey or Thybulle depending on matchups.

Rumored as in someone wants it to happen or rumored as in someone has a source saying it may happen?
