Hey you could be right, I just think the kid is going to shock a lot of people. He should have plenty of assists just because he’ll space the floor, dump it in to Embiid and let the big man go to work. 

I appreciate the optimism in here but without a point guard or two on the roster, I've tempered my expectations this season pending the outcome of the Ben situation.  They'll still win games as constructed but it will be fewer than 50 and probably lead to a 4-6 seed in the playoffs.  Had they gotten someone like Schroder cheap after his market fell apart, I'd be more optimistic but as excited as I am about Maxey, playing PG at a high level in the NBA is not easy and it's going to be worse when he's not on the floor.

Teams would be smart to pressure them the whole length of the floor as much as possible.  I'm truly dumbfounded by this teams inability or unwillingness to add any point guards during this entire rebuild. During the tank, I thought it was intentional to drive the win total down but now, there is no excuse not to have added someone useful.

If I am the Sixers I send Ben away.

I make the narrative that this is for his mental health and they are doing everything they can to get him the help he needs because the dude is broken mentally. It might be the family issues, he doesn't enjoy playing basketball, or a mirror of other issues, but Ben needs to talk some people about where his head is.

I still wouldn't trade him, but hope this brings back a fire under Ben and rekindles his trade value.

I was expecting to find it repulsive, but I actually kind of like it.  The basement is poorly done…graffiti wallpaper, Simmons memorabilia, and a chincy looking fish tank defining the media/theater room.  But the rest seems kind of well put together.

Im also guessing he’s spent more time in that gamer room than he has at the foul line in practice.

agreed...maxey is a scoring guard...not a pg.  they needed to add a vet pg for depth. should be interesting to see who runs the point tonight when maxey is on the bench...especially with shake out.

Kork is a PG overseas. Doc has said he likes him there in spurts. Its going to be Maxey and Kork.

And, this is only temporary till we do get a PG via trade. Would have to assume they never addressed it because the plan has been to get one in a Simmons trade all along. The miscalculation is not having a trade done yet. They assumed theyd get more and havent settled for anything less than their unrealistic valuation.

But I do think itll be resolved eventually. And I think Maxey will do his part to keep us in contention.

I f-ing hate Glen Rivers.  It’s too bad no one has called him out in the press conferences for his BS preaching last year about Ben.  He’s a fool.

Ugh..... It sucks because Niang and Drummond are tremendous upgrades over Scott and Howard.  With Maxey and Joe taking a step forward, this team would have been even better than last year's squad. 

This has 2005 Eagles written all over it.... 

Let's hope Embiid doesn't pull a McNabb and come down with a season ending injury

Well, Maxey can potentially replace Bens ~16. And youre going to get more production from the bench with Drummond and Niang significantly upgrading the bench front court. Im not sure Harris has to really pick up too much more slack on offense. I think his defense will be more important
