Nice dish from Kork to Niang in the corner but the shot was missed.

The bench unit shows some flashes but they need to settle in. Mostly sloppy so far. 

Now Niang to Furk. Furk worked for that one with a lot of off ball running.

His shot is so smooth.  It looks effortless. I'm pretty excited for the improved bench.

11 bench points in about 6 minutes of play. Thats pretty much the total we could get from them after a whole game a lot of times last year

Maxey's inexperienced showed right there.  Definitely had time to let the floor setup and rushed a shot unnecessarily.

It seemed like a heads up play to me. He got the 2 for 1 opportunity which Harris ended up scoring on to tie it at the buzzer.

Problem was Maxey's shot on that quick possession was flat/ugly. He shot off balance. He needs to compose himself a bit.

He was feeling the heat of the clock.  A half second more and he had a quality opportunity.  That's not a big concern in the long game.  Just some floor maturity that will come with time.

16 bench points at half. Thank god because the entire starting 5 sucked every minute of that 2nd quarter.

Right now the offense is all ISO. No movement, and no ball movement. 1-2 passes and that guy is ISOing. We dont have good ISO players. Embiid settling for jumpers. Harris not a good off dribble shooter. Maxey being too wild....

yeah. He needed to take the split second to gather and go up on balance. But I did appreciate the quick shot with 5 seconds separating the play and game  clocks. Good decision. Needed better execution.

Stupid Lynam is talking about the 2nd unit needing to establish an identity, and Drummond needing to score more. WTF? Bench is the only reason we arent being blown out. The starters just took an entire quarter off, and Doc did nothing about it.

True. This situation may set Maxey up to lose favor in the eye of fans. Like when Iguodala was thrust in to the alpha role on the team and he just wasnt going to be that player ever in his career. Still really good.

Maxey might average like 5 assists this year which is really quite good for a guy in his first year as a PG in the NBA. But its not going to cut it on a team that wants to contend for a title. 

Hopefully fans stay realistic in their expectations and understand that none of this is Maxey's fault.

@mr_hunt and I have said that for a while now.

Maxey is a Colin Sexton/Lou Williams clone. I hope the Sixers actually realize this and not ruin Maxey. 

3rd time I have heard these idiots harp on needing more from the 2nd unit. They have had 8-9 minutes and looked good.
