**Official Philadelphia 76ers Thread 2022/2023 Regular Season*

Featured Replies

James Harden has averaged 25.9 points, 10.5 assists and 8.3 rebounds in 12 games for the Nets without Kevin Durant this season.

Looks like he can still score when he is asked to.

Exactly and if Irving is able to come back full.time that is all the more reason they need to run it back. Why eff it all up now? As some of you like to say Durant was a few inches from going to the finals last year with the guys they have now. Why blow it up for jack ass Simmons.... Nets would have to be the dumbest team ever to do that.

I have always thought this was an offseason trade not a midseason trade.

It just doesn't make sense for the Nets to do it now.

Not sure how true this is but the Nets have no leverage if true...

The Philadelphia 76ers "strongly believe" James Harden will not re-sign with the Brooklyn Nets in the offseason, sources tell Sam Amick of The Athletic.

The 76ers remain hopeful that the Nets will make Harden available in a trade.

If the 76ers are unable to trade for Harden at the deadline, sources say they have a realistic path to acquiring him in the offseason.

The 76ers would trade Simmons to a team with cap room in exchange for assets in return. The Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic and San Antonio Spurs have cap space, while the Memphis Grizzlies or Houston Rockets could get there with minimal effort. The Portland Trail Blazers could also create enough room for Simmons.

The 76ers would also trade the contract of Tobias Harris, or they could also waive and stretch him.

Philadelphia would then sign Harden for either the max of $42 million or something close to it. The 76ers don't believe Harden would object to giving up a portion of his guaranteed earnings to sign with them

Yeah.  Let’s get that guy.  Bished and cried and ate his way out of Houston.  Now he’s not happy in Brooklyn.  Fantastic fit in Philly, a team trying to rid itself of a malcontent head case.

You take the headache for a legit chance at the title.

What other options do the Sixers have? Beal is now out

He left Houston because they had no chance to win a Championship.  He went to the Nets to try to win one.  Then he found out Kyrie is a nuts as Ben and before any given game, he can decide to visit lions in Africa rather than play. Then he was told to change his role and he has to defer to Durant. In addition to all that, his coach stinks.  He wants to win a ring, you cannot argue that.

That’s the whole point.  The dipish shouldn’t have waited this long.   I’d rather wait and trade the asset in the offseason then go with Harden.

His best chance to win, if that is all he wants, is in Brooklyn.

And you can’t just gloss over his behavior and how he left Houston.  It wasn’t just because he wanted to win.

He’s a malcontent.

It’s not happening anyway.

We'll see.  It's pretty clear, you would rather not win a Championship with Harden and prefer to not be good enough without him.

I just want him to trim just a little off the beard.  It looks hideous.

Nice passive aggressive Bacarty/Utebird level shot there.  😂

Sheesh.

Yeah.  James Harden.  That winner.

Portland, Indy, and Sac are out. Who is left to trade with? Wizards? Can't think of others right now.

If and I know it is an if, we trade for Harden, do you think we make it to the Finals this year?

And deal was agreed upon for him to come to Sixers last year until the Owner got butt hurt and wouldn't deal with Morey.

Nope

But it also matters on what we trade away and what other buyout deals we make or don’t make.

But I don’t want the Sixers to win because I don’t want Harden, so what does it matter?😀

Only way i see them doing it now is if the sixers overpay or if they know harden is gonna pull crap he did in houston and sabotage their season. which i don’t think he does. like i said my belief since the beginning of the year is whatever they do with Simmons isn’t happening this year but after the season is over.

But you want to trade Ben for "better" assets.  So which player or players are available right now, that make the Sixers finals contenders this year?

Good luck...

It’s too late!!!!   That’s the whole point.  Morey Fed this up.  Do you not pay attention?  Sheesh.

Hold the asset (Ben) and try to reignite interest in the offseason.  But Morey, Doc and Ben all did a number on the trade value.   Harden would be a rental anyway.

A rental? He would sign the extension.

Yeah. If you can't read the tea leaves these last 10 days then not sure what to tell ya.

It is pretty clear tampering going on with Harden and Morey.

Who else has the cap space?  Magic, Pistons, Kings, Thunder
