so does ben sit out for the entire season?  imagine the reaction if he actually does report back to the sixers in order to get paid. now that would be a sheetshow!

I’m for it just to see the crowd relentlessly boo the crap out of him

if this is really the offer, you have to do it.  I think that’s as high as I’d go but I would probably do that.

That's way too much for me.  Drummond will be useful in the playoffs and we can still win regular season games with him, while Embiid is out.  They can have Ben and Curry or Ben and Tisse, either deal can have another lesser player and/or a pick.  But that is way too much.

I’d do it if thybulle wasn’t in it. If i wait til the offseason if i get to keep thybulle in acquiring harden. Imo i think harden is coming one way or the other cause he and morey love each other. My belief is it makes more sense for both the nets and sixers that it goes down in the offseason.

I get not wanting to waste a year of embiid’s prime however i think keeping assets like thybulle around embiid with getting harden in the offseason helps more long term than making the trade now and losing thybulle.

I’m surprised the nets don’t want green as they can flip him this offseason as an expiring contract and get some help that way.

Almost 24 hours still to go. They've gone from completely unavailable to this already. Just keep waiting them out and moving them lower.

No need to agree until the end since Harden has made clear he only wants Philly.

Why do you have to do it? Harden doesn't get the 76ers over the line without depth around them. Let them eat it and have him walk for nothing.

See I’m ok with Thybulle going, but I need to keep Drummond unless they have a secondary deal to bring in a backup center

Exactly

I rather not give up thybulle knowing this offseason I’m not going to have to give him up as the nets lose leverage as the sixers could just trade Harris and then deal Simmons (somewhere else besides the nets that has cap space— bodner) to just outright sign harden. Frankly i hate wasting a year of embiid’s career but I’d hate not having thybulle as a trade asset (to use if need be down the road) and piece for this team for the rest of embiid and harden’s time here.

i hate losing Drummond as well. Frankly I’d do a curry, Simmons and green deal or walk away til the offseason. Dislike losing curry but after next year he is 33 and needs a new contract after next year.  Im not paying him the money he likely commands. He’s great now cause of his pricetag and prime the next 2 maybe 3 years. I’m surprised the nets don’t want green as a trade chip next year as an expiring contract. I think harden wants to reunite with morey now but this offseason it makes more sense. Based of Lowe, shams and bill simmons talk about that relationship that’s why harden wants to be here so badly. Probably go to buffets and strip clubs together. Lol.

No that's a bad trade

Simmons + Curry or Green + 1st round pick. I'd prefer they take Green, but I can lose Curry if need be. That or we sign him in the summer for nothing. That should be the message to Brooklyn.

It's kinda hysterical -- Windhorst is clearly getting info from Harden's camp, while Woj is parroting the Nets front office.

How has Patty Mills looked this year?  Is he washed or will he be a decent back up PG for us, should the trade go down?

edit:  It appears his 3 point shooting is lights out this year, with high volume.

Curry has a great contract for the remainder of the year and next year. After next year, he’s 33 and needs a new contract. The value of curry disappears after next year. I would deal him if need be. Love him but I’m ok dealing him. I’m surprised the nets don’t want green and curry. Green becomes a valuable expiring contract next year where they can trade him and bring in a piece.

I get all that but I don’t think you can waste a year of Embiid’s prime. One more significant injury could be about it for him as a top player.

Funny to watch all the noise the last month or so and now the last 24hrs is when the sheet got real as the deadline approaches.  I think this one gets done but there isn't a fat lady to be seen just yet.

Foshbomb alert:  I am not saying this is true.

BREAKING: James Harden is a 76er. Waiting on deal terms.

He won't be useful because they will expose him in pick and roll but Nets only want him to match up with Embiid

It's not.  Simmons (who you say is useless), two role players, one of which is breaking down under the larger role he's had year,  and a back up center on a 1 year minimum deal for Harden and another serviceable shooter, in Patty Mills, on a cheap contract.  You make that deal.

He can shoot and a good ball handler. He wasn't used except for a spot up shooter with the Nets

I don't mind it. I would find a back up big though

Nets really can't play Thybulle except spot minutes as long as Simmons is on the floor so his value isn't as high as it is for the Sixers playing next to Harden.

who?

Pretty even to me.

Mills is a bit better than Curry because of his ball handling skills

Harden is better than Thybulle and Simmons

Drummond is in the trade for one purpose and that is guard Embiid if they match up
