He said "It wasn't about the fans, the coaches or comments made by anybody..."  So what's left?  The equipment managers?  Beef with Franklin the Dog?  Security staff?  He makes no sense.  He was talking in circles.  Ugh, this guy.

that's every ben interview ever.  i didn't expect him to come out and say anything interesting. he's all about image.

the national nba media loves ben for some reason.

Because they're morons and love the dramatic/social angle.  Which is the alleged "mental health" BS.

I’m guessing some of this goes back to Lebron as Simmons’ agent is rich Paul. the media doesn’t want to crap on simmons cause then they’d have to deal with issues with Lebron and they don’t like to do that or lose that access.

could be.

it's something else though. guys on sxm saying that a few years from now, embiid will regret not choosing ben over morey/harden.  they don't even try to make sense.

It's a few things:

1. They don't want to get hit for being against a guy who played the mental health card. Anyone looking at the situation realizes it was a BS ploy by Simmons to try and keep getting paid, but national media guys aren't going to take on the potential backlash. It's simpler to play into pre-conceived notions of Philly fans.

2. They DESPERATELY want the Nets to be in the finals, because they want a NY team to finally be relevant again. Think about how many times we had to hear about big time free agents going to the Knicks (LeBron multiple times). NY/LA is always the dream, so they'll talk them up no matter what.

3. They all want to be contrarians and try to look smart. But when everyone is contrarian, then nobody is.

Am I the only one that wanted to throat punch Harris when he thanked Harden for picking them? JFC.

[Neubeck] James Harden confirms that he did not opt in yet and still has the opportunity to do it, which he plans to do

A complete dork.  A rich dork, but a dork none the less.  He can make anything uncool.  His pillow talk during sex is probably geeky as ish.

You might be the only person more bitter about Bridges than i am…

Haha out of all the mistakes that was the biggest one. At some point the direction of a franchise has to go from potential, and upside to what the player does well and how do they fit into the system to contend.

They did it again this year drafting Springer a freshman over Dosunmu, Jr from Illinois and now a vital role for Bulls or Herb Jones, Sr from Bama, another high minute guy for Pelican

Heck Jones has a WAR of 3.5 for 56th in the league

main thing i got out of this is that harden wanted to be traded to philly in the first place...not brooklyn.

The only way that would remotely ever happen is a Ben Simmons woke up one day and realized he needed to become better as a shooter and more consistent at the free throw line. Until that day comes where he has that epiphany that’s a bad take. Maybe just maybe he does later in his career at 31-32 but at that point it’s already the end of embiid’s career so does him no help.

There was that report before the trade happened and i believe one last year that he preferred the sixers over the nets. I don’t think he ever really had the nets as his preferred destination but he didn’t want to stay in Houston knowing they had no chance at a title and the nets were better than being in Houston. So it was the lesser of two evils that he went to the nets.

This might be for the best because a Ben to Houston package almost certainly includes Maxey at that time.

Plus, we got to cause dysfunction and damage in Brooklyn. Winning all around.

I've never liked Durant. He always comes off as a massive D bag even before any of this.

He is no doubt one of the greatest players but, he just never elevates his teams. Warriors won before he got there and then added a major boost when he got there. Other then that he deferred to Westbrook in OKC and now he couldn't keep this team together long enough to do anything. Great player but isn't an in your face leader to push everyone else over the top. He just does his own thing while everyone else does theirs.

The more they coddle him, the better the end result will be 😂

He was 4 inches away from beating Giannis, Middleton, and Jrue by himself last year.

He had no idea Irving was gonna go full Irving. Kyrie is the one that probably tore it apart because he just didn't feel like playing.

Bucks got Bembry.

Watching the presser. Did Ben get his eyebrows waxed? Why are they both swollen?

When Ben is telling the truth, he spits out his answer without a pause and makes direct eye contact. When he is lying, he throws an "um” in there and then looks down while he responds.

Sorry I’m off today and day drinking and this turd is really pissing me off.

I had to pack a bowl after he said "It was hard to be away from something you love”and insinuated that it was metal health related.

Do you know if nba league pass is prorated at this point. I would like to hate watch Ben and the Nets.

It was funny when Daryl with a lot of salt said- This would have benefitted everyone the most if it was originally a 3 team deal.

He might be too young to get that
