i wouldn't be opposed to reed getting some minutes at the 4 as well. they could use his energy & rebounding there. tobi's 7 & niang's 5 rebounds per 36 aren't helping.

Go small with Harden, Kork/Joe, Thybulle, Harris, Reed in certain match ups.

The main issue is Doc doesn't think progressive like this and thinks you need a old school big on the floor at all times.

Lue and the Clippers beat the Jazz last year because they put Batum on Gobert and forced Gobert away from the paint where he got exposed.

Today, Philadelphia shot 32.3% from the field. The last time the 76ers shots less than 33% from the field was less than a month ago against Boston Celtics, they lost by 48 points. Besides these 2 games, the last time the 76ers shot below 33% as a team was October 10th, 2015.

i struggle to envision the sixers  winning a title with rivers as the coach.

I have some concerns before this game and some more after and some thoughts.

1. I am with 4for4 on the bench. Frankly I didn’t think the bench was all that good before they made this trade. Niang is solid. Danny green is ok but even he is inconsistent at this stage of his career. But everyone else on that bench is super inconsistent or they’re just not that good.  I think one of the major things they’re gonna have to do this off-season is build that bench up and get upgraded from korkmaz, shake, Jordan, millsap, joe and Reed.

2. doc was an issue prior and after this trade. He’s overrated and just an average coach. I think that why that d’antoni rumor came out when it did. However he’s not that much better.

3. I think you are right to have some concern with harden’s past but i think he’s going to be fine.

4. Harris needs to give the sixers more. He had 16 points tonight but 11 of those points came when they were already down like 25 points. I said this a couple days ago against the Knicks, he can float out there against teams like that. Against better teams like the nets and suns and bucks they are going to need him. He needs to be impactful. I think this is the reason why he gets dealt and another shoe drops. Cause with harden and embiid he just needs to be the third scorer and really he’s 4th scorer and sometimes even 5th in games.

5. maxey has been awesome this year. So we tend to forget he’s still really young. It’s just his second season. Long term i think he’s fine and he thrives but i think there’s going to be some growing pains from time to time

6. We are dead last in rebounding. That’s a major cause for concern. Cause it wasn’t great prior to the trade.

7. For whatever reason we are just not the same team at home since last postseason. Ever since we lost 3 home games to the hawks in the playoffs we haven’t been close to as dominant at home. We are 19-14 and 21-11 on the road.

8. Thybulle needs to be way more consistent. 7 games since we traded harden he’s had 11, 8, 10, 0, 0, 12, 4. We don’t need him scoring 15-20. We just need him to at least be a threat out there. Additionally we need him to be better on the glass. We can ridicule Ben Simmons and hate him all we want but he did a good job on the glass. We need Thybulle to have more than what he’s averaging on the glass. In the last seven games he’s averaging 2.8 boards. He started well against Minnesota and the Knicks with 7 and 6. Since he’s had 1,1,1,1,3. we need him to be more active on the glass especially since we rank 30th in the league.

9. our defense was atrocious tonight. Particularly on the perimeter. Also guys not switching. Guys getting lost. (Maybe that’s guys just not playing with each other for all that long). And guys just not giving all that much effort on that end once we got down early. We obviously were going to take a step back defensively losing Simmons. That’s the one thing he excelled at. However they need to figure something out because the deeper we get in the postseason i think it’ll be exploited like tonight. Also we don’t really have another perimeter defender besides thybulle especially with green out and not what he once was

10. slow starts have become a habit. It feels like every game we are slow out of the gate. In the last five games they have only had the lead after the first quarter against the bulls. They have been down 8, 13, 8 and 17 in the other 4. The bulls game is also the only game we’ve been ahead at the half. Can’t keep doing that

Oh Curry played like a man on fire and routinely would stare down the Sixers bench.

I saw that. Probably proving the point "you shouldnt have traded me"

Steph implied that Seth loved playing here. And you know none of the players on this team got along with Ben. He ghosted all of them.

Im sure they will be supportive as much as they have to to coexist on the Nets because thats what the situation calls for. But they both definitely looked like they enjoyed that chorus of boos.

So we have the Magic tomorrow, and Nuggets on Monday. If they are planning on resting anyone I hope its against the Magic tomorrow. I am going to the Nuggets game and Embiid didnt play in the game I went to in November.

Nuggets should provide good theatre watching Embiid and Jokic go head to head. I would think we want everyone available in that game. Should be able to handle the magic a little short handed. Though, really they need to play as many games together as possible.

Agreed.  I’m looking forward to Monday’s game.

Rest? F that. Those f’ers haven’t played in almost a week.

I went to that November nuggets game as well. Charles bassey looked like he was gonna be in the playoff rotation that night. Hasn’t done anything since.

My november game was the Knicks.

Yeah Bassey looks like there is potential but he doesnt get a chance.

wow shots fired.

"Well, he’s kind of old school, so he doesn’t really understand what we’re saying,” Embiid joked about Cassell. "We were having an argument about the pick-and-roll. I watched the Brooklyn game again. Every single time me and James were running the pick-and-roll, Seth (Curry), he was guarding Matisse (Thybulle), and he just wasn’t guarding him at all. So we’re trying to find ways how to really use Matisse and make sure that he has to be guarded in those situations.

"That was just one game but going back to the New York games, we used him a lot. (Evan) Fournier was guarding him, and he kept helping off of him and making sure that I didn’t get the ball or James didn’t have any driving lanes. And James kept finding him. So that’s what we were talking about: Just trying to find ways to really utilize him and make him better.”

Ugh more iso and no movement

Holy crap they look slow and lazy

young athletes vs old & slow.

They are playing everyone against Orlando? wtf...

They better all play tomorrow.

To me they are trying to hold the 3 seed down and hope to play the Cavs.

And still down 14 points

Chuma Okeke is a guy I liked in that draft. He was overlooked due to a torn ACL that year. He reminded me of Tobias Harris and was going to be available later 1st or 2nd. I dont remember where he ended up where exactly he got picked.

Anyway, I think Orlando is a nice team to look for a trade in the summer with. I wonder if you could get Chuma as a young 3 and D (his 3pt shooting still needs to come around a bit in the NBA but he can shoot, and defend). You have Ross who always seems out of favor there, and Harris. You can replace the Green with Ross, and fill out the bench nicely with Okeke and Harris. Get Joel his willing shooters he wants.
