Remember, trading for Harden solved all their problems. They didnt give up too much in the trade because they didn't need anything else because Harden would be enough. No other trades like the Sacramento one where they could have added depth and signed Harden for nothing this summer would have made sense because he alone would win them a championship this year.

and they were 2 free throws. this guy stands in the corner and doesn't want to shoot anymore. every possession its to isolate Embiid

Doesn’t help doc is a dope and doesn’t use thybulle when green is -9 on the quarter.

Harden has looked like crap for a while now. He is tired and playing through injury. If we want any chance for a decent run in the playoffs, they need to rest him the last 4-5 games.

That defense with that length on the wings for the Suns is elite.

Not sure who is beating that over seven games.

fed up with Harden's crap

I think Milwaukee might be the only team that can but they aren’t playing anywhere close to last year to make me think they would. Milwaukee also has the bench to match if they ever can get back to where they were playing last year in the finals. Boston with how they’ve been playing defensively but i think they have the same issue the sixers do where their depth behind the starters just isn’t there and they’d get worn down in a 7 game series with Phoenix.

Bucks because of Giannis.

Grizzlies have the depth but JJJ hasn't played well as of late. Just beat the Bucks by 25 without Ja.

Warriors as well but are they healthy and can Kuminga continue to play this well in more minutes.

Simmons actually went on the road trip so he might be continuing to ramp up and try to play.

I think Giannis if he gets on that level he was in the finals. Also needs middleton to be his sidekick and up to the level more consistently cause i do think this Phoenix team is better than last year’s version.

i worry more about the grizzlies in terms of playoff experience the deeper they get into the playoffs. Had the series last year with the jazz but i think the suns with Paul and that run last year are more equipped against that inexperience. Phoenix overcame it last year. but I’d also say Phoenix got fortunate on their path AD getting hurt, Denver had murray out, clips lost kawhi before that series.

warriors are interesting cause when healthy they have depth and talent to do it. I feel like ayton is likely the key to that series cause i don’t think the warriors have an answer to him with wiseman out (that pick is looking worse and worse). I’m curious to see what Steph looks like when he returns and when he returns. I know you are a grizzlies fan but I’m guessing the nba if suns and warriors are fully healthy is he matchup they’d want.

I think Simmons tries. However he had the back issue during the bubble year and he had months off and yet couldn’t play through it. I think it’s something he eventually is going to have to surgery on. Cause this isn’t the first back issue he’s had. If he can play at a high level i think they have a good shot.

Wtf…

Honestly better off being 4th. Play the bulls. Whoever is the 1 or 2 seed is likely gonna draw the nets. I’m hoping Boston gets the 1 seed and faces the nets round one. That said Boston also has at Toronto, Miami, pacers, Washington, at bulls, at bucks and  at grizzlies coming up.

I don’t get the trade.  They’ve made Harden (supposedly one of the NBA’s great scorers) a distributor, have Maxey running off the ball like he’s Iverson, and traded away Seth Curry who is a better high-volume shooter than Maxey (not necessarily a better scorer though).  Harden generally dribbles to the three point line and looks for Embiid in the post.  Not that it’s a bad formula most times - it just seems too boring and predictable.  Maybe I’m just bummed about the loss.  Lol

This probably isn’t fair, but…

Thybulle stinks.

We need a 3 and D wing

I long for December when I would tune into the Cs YouTube post game show and absorb the meltdown of loss after loss and they wanted to trade Brown for Ben.  Those were the ol good days.  I hate that they're good now.  It makes it hard for me to enjoy the season.

Been saying this for a while....but my contention was that the best way to get the 4th seed was to play Bassey and Reed, let them get experience, see if either would be better than Jordan for the playoffs.  I mean honestly, putting a big plant in the middle of the lane would be better than Jordan but Doc is going to Doc and ultimately when we lose, hopefully he will be gone.  He isn't a bad coach, he is just way too stubborn, doesn't play the young guys and yes, the bench is a weakness but damn, he doesn't even try to find a solution!

Nah.

Maxey had an off shooting night till the 4th quarter.  He helped get them back in the game.

Anyway,  you can look at his stats in his second season compared to Booker in his second season.  Maxey is better across the board.

Bigger issue was Harden who didn't do much all night.  And Harris who started hot and then did absolutely nothing.

And refs. Major home cooking.

That’s one game. Maxey is still a 41.6% three point shooter this season. Booker is at 37.8%. Seth Curry is at 42.4% (since your previous post mentioned him). So not really that big of a gap between Curry and Maxey’s shooting.

Seth is a career 44% 3P shooter, Maxey isn't on his level of shooting.

Bill Simmons gave a perfect analogy with Harden in that when he got traded it was like starting a new diet on January 1st. He started out with all this energy and vigor and by the 10th he is ordering pizza.

Ok… doesn’t have anything to do with this season. Fact is for this year, curry is only about 1% better than Maxey. So basically for every 100 three pointers they attempt, Curry makes one more. It’s only Maxey’s second season also, so he could very well bump that percentage even further in year 3.

Robert Williams of the Celts tore his meniscus. Out for at least a few weeks, if not more. Pretty big loss for them.

And Curry is shooting 48.5% with the Nets since being traded on 6.5 attempts.

Heck, Steph is only shooting 38% on 3 this year so crap maybe Maxey will be a better 3P shooter than both Curry brothers soon.

Or Maxey could increase his volume higher to 7 or more 3P shots and his average will go down to 37-38%. It's just a goofy argument to make based off one year when Curry has proven tobe a consistent 3P shooter.

maxey is a better overall player than curry, imo. the only thing curry might be better at is shooting threes.

anyway, harden looks turrible. i hope it's the hammy because if it's not, dude is washed & shouldn't get anything near the max.

The test will come in the post season.  May as well rest him a LOT now until the real stuff starts.
