Defensively they have the same basic stats at 1.5 blocks and 1.1 steals for Joel with Jokic having 0.9 blocks and 1.5 steals.

Last few pages sure shows it.

And I will wholeheartedly disagree.

Every team will just double Embiid and make Monte Morris/Will Barton beat them.

Jokic isn't even doubled on this team because opponents know he can beat them with his passing which is something Joel can't do.

So they don't double Jokic cause they're afraid he'll pass to all the other dudes on his team who you say suck?  Makes sense

Not hard to make layups or open shots

or it just shows that someone else is more deserving. nothing against jovic, but embiid is absolutely more valuable to his team.

personally though, i hope the media keeps saying it should be jovic. it's just more motivation for joel to prove them wrong and the team will benefit from it.

Switch teams does Embiid get this Nuggets team to 48 wins?

Yes. The Nuggets finished 6th in a conference where 2 teams with losing records made the play in games and 6 teams finished among the 9 worst records in the entire league. You and others are throwing out that 48 win total because it historically would be a good season but with so many non competitive teams in the league, it’s not. It’s inherently dishonest.  They tied with the Raptors for the 10th best record in the league. If your claim to MVP starts with you carrying your team to the top of the middle third of the league, you don’t have a legitimate claim.

No one has refuted any stats I have thrown out, basic or advanced.

Any team would rather have Maxey, Harden/Curry and probably Harris before they wanted Will Barton. Aaron Gordon was the 3rd best player on the team.

You don't even know his name, it's Jokic. Jovic is an NBA prospect in this draft who isn't a bad late 1st rounder.

And Sixers only won 3 more measly games.

i dont bother wasting time looking for stats to prove people wrong on the internet. you have your opinion and none of what you posted moves the needle one bit for me.

i also dont give a flying F if i spell a name wrong, Kz jr.

3 more measly wins would have had the Sixers finish with the third best record in the league and first in the conference, instead of 8th in the league and fourth in the conference.  Such a moronic view.  The argument for Jokic for MVP is weak.  He is a great player but he should not have even been in consideration this year.

Is he that much better of a scorer? I pulled up the stats from this year on the last page and Jokic is 27.1ppg on 17.7 shots and Joel is 30.6ppg on 19.6 shots.

Joel gets 9.6 points from the line, where Jokic get 5.1 from the FT line.

People don't give Jokic credit for how good he really is because no one watches them and he is a doughy white guy. It's taking nothing away from Joel but the award is most valuable player and what he did for the Nuggets to win 48 games is MVP worthy.

I think if the Sixers won 55 games or more then Joel probably gets the award.

Joel is the highest career points per minute scorer of all time. So yes. Jokic isnt ahead of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and James Harden in that category. Only Joel Embiid is.

You clearly don't watch basketball besides the Sixers.

Everyone wants to claim the advanced stats are dumb but guess who is right behind Jokic in every advanced stat, Embiid. Then you are discrediting Embiid as well.

Points per game doesn't equate to MVP.

All while being constantly doubled

Oh wait - being doubled means you're bad cause you can't pass

Jokic has the highest ppg/rebounds/assists per game average in the history of the NBA.

I would have no issue Embiid, Giannis, or Jokic winning it.

I'm simply making the case for Jokic and why he deserved it. His numbers are comparable if not better than Embiid. You can't make the argument advanced stats are worthless when Embiid is right behind him in every stat.

I had it: Jokic, Embiid, Giannis, Tatum, Booker.

that does not answer the question you asked. I did. You responded with an irrelevant fact.

You said I don't watch the NBA other than the Sixers, which is wrong and moronic.  Nothing more than a weak self serving assumption with someone who takes the same input as you but processes it differently.  Also, you claimed I and others were saying advanced stats are dumb when I did no such thing.

I'm a data nerd.  I have nothing against advanced stats.  The problem is those stats are great for measuring past performance but for MVP, you need great performance, which Jokic has, as well as actual accomplishment.  Finishing tied for 10th in the league is not enough of an accomplishment.  You can lie to yourself all you want but it's just not.

that was not your question either. Put the goal posts down where they belong and admit defeat.

I said he shouldn't be not that he isn't.  He's going to win it.  He's obviously in the conversation.  Is this how you converse with people in real life also?  Every comment you've made to summarize or repeat what I said has been completely inaccurate.
