Honestly, that's one of my favorite traits about him.  It reminds me of U.S. Grant.

After Day 1 of the Battle of Shiloh.

Sherman: "Well Grant, we've had the devil's own day, haven't we?"
Grant: "Yes, lick 'em tomorrow, though."

And they did

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I'm still doubting there will be fans at all, anywhere. I'd go to Vegas, that stadium looks awesome.

Was thinking about Vegas anyway just for that reason. Hoping it’s in late October to December cause Vegas in september and early October is still hot.

Good move

I kinda wish the Eagles would update LFF.  I'm one of those guys that likes dome stadiums and wish all NFL stadiums were enclosed or at least had a retractable roof.

Im a season ticket holder and Im happy with the outside field. Just say no to the dome.

Don’t think you are going to get a retractable dome over the linc anytime soon.  I’m guessing the financial side of it would be ridiculous. Plus we never get the eagles/lions snow bowl

While I suspect Peters will be fine at RG, too many folks are taking the transition for granted. It’s not that easy.

Depends on the player.

A lot of tackles struggle because a tackle body/skill set doesn't fit guard.

The length that allows you to seal the corner makes it harder to generate power in a small area.

The nimble feet that allow you to mirror may not generate the explosion to neutralize a DT's bull rush.

That won't be an issue for Peters, he's one of the strongest, most powerful OL in the NFL even at 38.

I think he said he wasn't going to make the transition to the new boards.

Doesn't mean he's not here.  Amongst us.

Maybe he's the 'dome' guy.

Called that over a month ago.  Yet someone tried to convince us that it would work because they can have all the concessions brought to the seats and everyone will stay in their spot.  Yeah.  Ok.

In stadium Door Dash. That could be an interesting concept when fans are allowed back in.

They were talking about how baseball is going to be so odd without fans, how you wouldn't even know if balls went out etc, without the roar of the crowd.

Can only imagine how strange a football game without fans will be.

They'll have to pump in fake crowd noise.

These networks are going to have sooooooo many swear words make it on tv when football starts.

Cant wait.

Anyone who thinks Peters was brought in here solely to play Guard is kidding themselves.  That announcement was more for Dillard’s feelings.

Nah, it's Dillard's time, they could have signed Peters months ago and they didn't.

Glad I requested my refund a week or so ago when given the option to defer.  Maybe I'll get my money sooner........

Except when Richaun Holmes goes to games.  You'll have to tell him to stay in his seat.

If anyone reads the article it says the health commissioner is strongly recommending no fans and they are consistently having talks with the Eagles. says nothing that they are forcing no fans in the stands yet. Another article that people are over reacting on. until I hear it from the Birds, there is hope atleast Im praying for it, lol

Yea, I'm curious how this effects the season ticket holders in here.

@FranklinFldEBUpper, did you get anything in the mail yet?

My belief on why it was Peters over someone like warford is cause of money but also player versatility. Hes going to play right guard unless Dillard gets hurt or is just so bad that they need to move peters back the left tackle then at that point move Pryor back into right guard. I think this covers them at rg cause they believe peters can play at a high level there and left tackle in case of poor performance or injury to Dillard.

I'm really rooting for Mills. He's got a great attitude and has taken to the team and fans well. I just didn't like him at CB

Where's my friend "we_gotta_believe"?

I'm not saying that this is a sure thing by any means... BUT... I'll give the glass nearly full viewpoint:

1 - Mills is well acquainted with the defense as a whole, so he doesn't need to learn the defense or the calls, he just needs to learn his new responsibility.  So, the learning curve is only on the position change, not everything.  Mills also has the right mentality for when a foul-up happens.  Put it in the past, and make the next play.

2 - Peters is a coaches' dream.  He studies and he and Lane are great friends, as is Brandon Brooks.  I see the 3 of them being inseparable and start working on things immediately.  Brooks can help Peters with the techniques of guard and guard responsibilities, meanwhile, Lane can be there in the midst of chemistry.

3 - Maddox is another football lifer type.  So, he'll put in the work by himself.

Agreed except I'm worried about Peters taking himself out of games a lot again

Ive wanted him at safety for a few years. I liked when he played safety for LSU. I kinda thought he was in the plans for that move when they drafted him. Excited to see how he can do in that position.

Maybe, last I heard he wasn't coming.
