Yea, I'm curious how this effects the season ticket holders in here.

@FranklinFldEBUpper, did you get anything in the mail yet?

Email last week giving us the option to defer our tickets for this year. That is what we chose to do, so I will not be attending any games. We decided to leave our money in the account rather than get a refund. It will be weird not going to the home games, but I'll manage.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

If anyone reads the article it says the health commissioner is strongly recommending no fans and they are consistently having talks with the Eagles. says nothing that they are forcing no fans in the stands yet. Another article that people are over reacting on.

The article literally says

Quote

"The Eagles are still going to be allowed to play, although without crowds. The Phillies will continue to be allowed to play, although without crowds,” Managing Director Brian Abernathy said.

Abernathy said NFL guidelines also "remind teams that local authorities have the ability to ban fans, so I don’t expect any issues.”

They are basically letting the Eagles make the call and if they don't, they will step in.

Also

The current thought process seems to be the Philadelphia guideline saying private property is exempt means games can't be canceled by the city, but they can ban people from gathering

Ive wanted him at safety for a few years. I liked when he played safety for LSU. I kinda thought he was in the plans for that move when they drafted him. Excited to see how he can do in that position.

I actually wish they started this project earlier as well. Always thought he would be a pretty solid safety. I don’t know if you’ll ever be a great safety but I think he could play there and play at a high enough level to contribute. I’ll say this I think he could be better than Sendejo was

I don’t have any information but I’m guessing if Sidney Jones, Darby, Douglas or Maddox were actually playing better on the outside last year I tend to believe we would’ve seen Mills play some more snaps at safety but since they were so bad for most of the year at corner he was an upgrade to what they actually had out there when he came back

Phew.  I thought I was crazy there for a minute after that earlier comment.  It clearly says no fans.

Just to contradict myself, I think there is plenty room for confusion, either among the reporters or city council, so that's what it says now, but could always change. Like almost anything nowadays .

Maybe I missed something, but has anyone considered the idea of Peters finally agreeing to play guard being why this signing finally happened?

From what I remember, the Peters talks this spring centered around the draft week rumor that the Eagles weren't high on Dillard, and the idea that Peters wanted to finish his career with the Eagles, and specifically at LT.

Who knows.   Maybe Lane talked him into it?

Totally should’ve responded with this video. It was the perfect time to use it

There's a lot of players that could have been signed or traded months ago.  These kind of deals happen last minute all the time.  Teams and players played the waiting game, all of the time.

Yes, but if they doubted Dillard I doubt they would have waited. The timing was after Brooks and RG is where Jason is playing. Either way though it's nice to have him just in case.

Just my personal take with nothing to go off of, but I think the plan for months was to bring him back, and at this time. They probably had an unofficial agreement and just made it official the week or so before camp. They did the same thing with Sproles last year, almost to the same date. He signed 7/19.

Heh, apparently Elliot San La Gigglio Parks said something about Dak outplaying Carson in his career thus far earlier this morning on the radio.

I don't think he was able to get a starting position at LT anywhere. Eagles asked about RG and he said yes because he knows the team and likes the Oline and Stoutland. Just my guess

I mean honestly any one of us could be right.

I'm sure that had a lot to do without it.

I am partial to the Lane - Jason buddy cop movie angle.

Those 2 could dominate...

His agent claims he had offers but his heart was in Philly. Could just be agent talk though.

I kinda wish the Eagles would update LFF.  I'm one of those guys that likes dome stadiums and wish all NFL stadiums were enclosed or at least had a retractable roof.

What bugs me about LFF is they built it and took away the loudest fans as a home field advantage.  Look how Seattle built their stadium.  There is NO way those fans are more passionate and louder than Eagles fans if they both had the same style of stadium.  Had the Eagles build LFF like Seattle our HFA would be off the charts loud.  If anything, I like the roof idea like they did down in Miami but I think with snow that would be a problem.

Idk if this has been posted, but even so I’ll post it again

If the Eagles can’t have fans in the stands, does that mean the NFL will ban fans for the other 31 teams for competitive reasons? Doesn’t seem fair at all, but they’re gonna scrape for every penny they can.

Just putting this out there before I get attacked by the angry mob (and yes, I think Wentz is better than both McNabb and Dak).

They should but it seems like they are letting teams decide individually which isn't fair at all.

Another question, without fans how the heck is Carson supposed to relay plays to the team? He's going to have to whisper down the lane in a huddle. Might be a good idea to go back to Chips ridiculous play cards.

Ahh, nothing like Orlovsky setting Cowboy fans off on twitter.

You can just sense the unleashed butthurt from them. 😄
