Neighbor shared a couple of her zucchini with us yesterday. What’s that Parmesan recipe you use?

My wife cuts the zucchini into small disks - about 1/4" - 3/8" thick.    (This would be for zucchini so small that there's no real seed development.   If the seeds develop a little more you can do a similar thing, just cut them either lengthwise or for smaller bits on the bias... this reduces the 'seediness'.)

Then she just sprinkles them with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and dusts the top with parm cheese.  Placed on a cookie sheet (greased with olive oil), baked at 400F.   Leave in the oven until the cheese turns golden brown.   My wife says it takes about 20 minutes, but I'd check sooner than that, maybe check at 10, 15, etc.

We also do a version where she puts a little Italian seasoned bread crumbs mixed with parm cheese on top if you want a little more 'texture'.

If you want you can even put them on a bed of parm cheese and the parm cheese will form almost a 'cracker' under the disk.

EDIT:  I forgot the garlic powder.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Are those mini helmets or do you have a tiny head?

Tiny head and an obviously disproportionately larger body.  I don't like to talk about it.  It's personal.

Reminded me of this

Give them a little less sunlight - give them more room.

I usually start basil and cilantro from plants with seeds planted in close range. I have such problem starting parsley from seeds I always start as plants with cross my fingers, seeds in proximity. I managed to beat the flowers on my first cilantro of the season.  You can use some plants to shade others. My basil shades my thyme and oregano. My rosemary and sage shades my cilantro, for example. Alway part shade the majority of the time for herbs.  My rule of thumb is I have a philodendron that I move to the covered porch in summer.  If my philodendron would like it, so will my herbs.

I find my chives do well by my peppers. Mom taught me that. I have three jalapeños and my cayenne bush on the perimeters of my herb garden.  Also, if your herbs like it, so will your asparagus.

Peppers are like tomatoes, no second plant needed unless you are like me and love the peppers.

Greg Ward is making the team.  JFC, don't be silly.

Why would that be a given? We added a lot of receivers this offseason.

That's why I am really hoping for an expanded roster given the lack of OTAs, TC, etc.   Expand it by 10 spots, in addition to the 10 PS spots.  Ward will likely be an asset for 2020, given his familiarity with the scheme and Wentz' familiarity with him.  BUT... he's likely not a long term guy here.  So... do the Eagles try to sneak a guy like Watkins or Hightower to the PS, and run with Ward for 2020, or do they cut ties with Ward and keep the young speed guys?   I can see both sides of it.

I don't know if they can expand the roster without changing the CBA.  I do think they could change the cut down dates. I like the idea of expanding rosters and practice squads.  I don't know whether that's practical given the NFL's revenue concerns.

Yeah and with the whatever kind of a clusterF training camp thrown at them I’m guessing a few of these rookies magically get hammy injuries forcing them to redshirt.

That didn't play on the team last year.  That don't have the chemistry with Carson.  That won't have the benefit of having the offense drilled into them with OTA's and a long training camp.  Plus we have Desean Jackson, who is old.  Alshon Jeffery who is old and hurt and even if there was a full season, won't see the field for a while.    So why would Greg Ward not be a "given"?  You make it seem like we drafted and signed a bunch of sure things.  We spent a #1 on a WR so you know he's gonna be around for a while.  So that's AJ (have to) Desean (have to) and Reagor (have to) all locks to make the team before Ward.  Who else would you put in as a lock before Ward?   Goodwin?  JJAW?  Who's your slot if Ward doesn't make the team for some insane reason?

JJAW is a lock.

I don't think it's anywhere near a lock either

All of the sudden, now some Eagles fans think Howie is a Wide Receiver whisperer.  F-er hasn't hit on one yet.  Ward was a QB and made himself a WR.

They just drafted guys with speed which actually is an upgrade from their previous draft strategies.

Thanks.  I wasn't sure.   I never planted just one... I love peppers too much!   But, after buying my tomatillo this spring I went to check, just in case, and it turns out that they need at least one friend.   Meanwhile, what I didn't expect... they grow like freaking WEEDS!   They are outgrowing my tomatoes... which is some trick.  Now I just need to figure out when to harvest them.   So much fun to try new stuff!    Best part of them was the number of flowers they put out quickly... the bees are everywhere in my garden, and I think the tomatillos were the ones to start the influx.   I can't go in the garden any where now without the sound of bees humming around.   IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!

And my wife seems to be the best cucumber finder EVER!   Very helpful to have around because those suckers hide like nobodies business!

I don't know how hard it would be to just right a one year addendum to the articles to cover this, but I would think with this being so 'unprecedented' and everyone 'being in this together' it wouldn't be that hard to tack on some stuff like that... top 53 count against the cap.  Any player after that would receive only the league minimum and wouldn't count against the cap.  PS counts as usual, etc.    Just get some extra players and pay the league minimum.  I'm sure getting $600k versus nothing would make those guys happy.  But, what do I know.   I don't even possess $400 in footwear!

Ward is a lock imho

Jjaw is at low risk to me.

Back with the speed thing.  Yeah, that is an improvement or shall we say a departure from their past strategies.  But there is no guarantee these guys can play.  We all know there has been fast WR drafted in the NFL and completely flop.  Exhibit A-N would be the Oakland Raiders.

Speed is all you need dawg

The only way I see JJAW not making the team is if he’s traded, so I’ll add that caveat to my "lock.” He’s on scholarship for one more season and won’t be cut.

I think Ward has the inside track.  I do think they could keep JJaw over Ward just based on JJaw's draft status.  They might also want to add both of the later round rookies to the roster rather than the practice squad.  The real issue will be if Alshon is healthy.  I mean if he is cleared for play he may very well be in contention for a spot. I do think Ward should be on track for a spot.  If nothing else, he was a reliable receiver down the stretch.  Here's what I would like to see:

1) Reagor

2) Desean

3) Goodwin

4) JJaw

5) Ward

6) Hightower

PS Quez Watkins, PUP Alshon

But I could easily see them keeping Hightower and Watkins over Ward.  If for no other reason than Ward isn't as likely to be picked up by another team.  So he still will be around if they need him.

No. But some drugs "of last resort” did. That’s what they call them. As I said, interesting. Good as new now, well, depending on how one defines new.

They are talking about reducing the training camp roster and not changing the CBA, so I would assume they could just as well expand with an addendum.

I think the Eagles would based on draft capital. He has one more year to show something.
