Yup.

They also lost most of their defense. If Lawrence gets hurt, their season is over.

You are right about how important Lawrence is for them. However, even with their losses, I kinda like their starting defensive lineup. It does have some boom/bust potential, but it is a solid group. They have 2 solid run stuffing DTs, their edge guys are a complete unknown Gregory? Smith? Lawrence? But all of these guys have shown the potential to be excellent pass rushers at one point.

Then we start getting to the part of the defense that could be dangerous. I know linebackers are not as valuable in today's nfl, but they have 2 really special linebackers who have sideline-sideline range. And then the back end they have guys like Diggs, Awuzie, Ha-Ha, Worley, and Robinson. If they get Adams, that would really change things.

The biggest problem for them is they have ZERO depth. At least we have guys like LeBlanc, Jones, Parks, and Wallace

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I went way further than that, but my yard was rough and ugly before. The back is small, I have a huge curvers front and odd shaped pie wedge for the back that has been hard for elme over the years to figure out what to do with. So I built a 10 by 12 BBQ shack, equipped it like a kitchen with a bar on the side. Re landscaped everything and put up a gazebo on a 14 by 14 deck next to it. Rocked a section for tables. Its almost like an outdoor restaurant now.

That sounds great.  I'd love to do that.  Can't commit the dough to it right now though.

I just redug out my old garden... old patio and side gardens.  with all the traveling I'd been doing in the summers, I had let them get overgrown.  Now they are ready for some use.

Found this little nugget.

Speaking of pools.  Anyone know what it costs to get a new liner for a pool like this?

That's above my budget to even consider.

Reading about RB Gus Edwards being a possible trade candidate. He’s pretty solid, i’d be fine with that. Ravens are just ridiculously stacked at RB. DK Dobbins is going be good, very good. Ingram, last years draft selection of Justice Hill whom has home run break away ability, and Edwards.

So far I think my spending on the yard/garden has amounted to about $800.   Replaced an above ground pool... found a place in FL that is selling models like the one I am replacing for under $200, with shipping.  (That model seems to be discontinued, since I last bought it. It arrives some time in the next 3 weeks.)  I bought seeds and some plants to grow my own veggies.  Bought some butterfly garden plants and seeds for the wife.  Bought some mushroom soil and a new hose.   Mostly it's been about making the most of what we already have.  Reorganized the shed, cleared away the vines that were overgrowing the fences.   Going to order some mulch to keep it all beautiful.

Got back the deposit I put down on the vacation house on TN/GA line.  So, only really spent about $300... over 2 and a half months.  This was money that I had saved for this vacation.   Had it (and a bit more) tucked away for this vacation.  In the meantime, we've dramatically cut down our spending during all this in other ways, so that overall, we have spent far less.  I've been fortunate in that both my wife and I are continuing to get paid.  My job is safe for next school year.  My wife's is up in the air for the fall... so my summer pay is going to be put away in case she doesn't get an invite back.  I am overdue some back pay for other jobs I've completed, but haven't been paid yet.   That money goes straight to the savings account.... and gets locked in for the next 12 months... unless its needed.

I decided to get back into farming this summer.  I dug a herb garden to replace the planters. Nice crop of scallions, thyme, oregano, parsley, sage and basil.  Dill and chives have germinated.  Peppers and tomatoes growing strong.  Plus neighbors have squash, zucchini and different tomatoes than I grow.   My next door neighbor has a boyfriend who works a vegetable and fruit farm.  Only produce I will be buying this summer is lettuce and cabbage.  Most fruit I eat will be locally grown.  Strawberries are in an first peaches.

Glad to hear you have some stability in your job. Best luck to your wife.

As a school teacher of 20 years, I have seniority and as a science teacher would qualify as 'essential', my wife works as the librarian.  And as of right now, libraries are off limits in PA and according to CDC guidelines.

I've only got about 128 square feet of garden space for food... but I grow up when I can.  Peas are trellised, cucumbers, beans... all trellised.  Tomatoes in cages.   Planted leeks and bunching onions for the first time ever.  Have a few carrots for fun.  Lots and lots of beets.  Love beets.  It's a dual crop, so great for small space gardens.  I eat tops and bottoms.  I grow my own lettuce.  Have been getting some nice harvests of leaves... picked as needed to be eaten.  Nothing as rewarding as walking into the backyard, harvesting then then eating what you've grown (sometimes, as I stand right there!).

Full list:  peas, cucumbers, lettuce, beets, swiss chard, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, green beans, leeks, bunching onions, chives, basil, spinach, celery, carrots, cilantro, kale, watermelon and for the very first time, tomatillos.

Yes.  Love that we are back in space from the US.  Those astronauts are brave.  Heck, I worried about prototype versions of new car models.  Funny thing is in my immediate family, including an aeronautical engineer, I am the only one that would ride the explosion of a rocket to space.   I would have taken this ride but I wouldn’t call me brave.  The reward is worth the risk.  Color me stupid that I am more fearful of puking than blowing up.

You are one of the most political here but I agree we need to be careful with the tone.  When you, greend and libertarian and liberal posters agree on wearing a mask is about protecting fellow citizens, well you know it’s not political and just the neighborly thing to do.

Im one of the least political in the world.  The correct word would be opinionated.

And yes cover your ugly faces with a mask PLEASE

I'd love to go to space. Wouldn't be able to though. I can't deal with spinning around very fast. I can go fast in a straight line but once the spinning starts my stomach wants to leave my body:lol:

Not sure I agree with that. As JR pointed out, the election of 1864 was close and the draft riots in NY in the late summer and fall of 1863 were significant. There is some feeling that a victory on Union soil would have possibly turned the tide in the North towards seeking a peace.

They need to find a way to fix their team culture; to me that’s their biggest problem.  Lawrence, Smith, and Elliott ALL had down years right after getting paid — the rest of the rank and file guys see that lack of leadership.  Their franchise QB has been next to impossible to get signed to a contract (right or wrong) — the rank and file guys see that too.

A lot of playing for "me first” in that organization from what I can see.  Until that changes, they cannot be a serious contender.

As long as Jerrah is running things, that won't change.  They are drawn to the flash...

I'm still working as my industry has been at least 50% busier than usual.  High volume liquor store.  My owners have 2 stores and both have been short staffed during this pandemic while we've been operating at a holiday week's pace (4th Of July or Thanksgiving week).  The other store has been more shorthanded and while all us managers are salary, they allowed for OT for managers now, but I'd rather have the more valuable commodity of time so I'm keeping my 2 days off as I have an ish ton of yard work to do.  My backyard is 120'x90' so mowing the yard takes over 45 minutes.  Then I have to rake it.  I have a 50'x8' garden I just planted (3rd year doing it) with mostly peppers and tomatoes, rosemary and green zucchini squash.  I did plant one row of sweet corn for the first time so see how that turns out.  I added an extra 18'x6' for watermelons this year.  I also have a small side garden along the house (2nd year for it) with leafy greens (Swiss Chard, kale and spinach) that I need to plant the next couple days.  Plus I need to put in Zoysia grass plugs and Creeping Red Fescue grass seed for the lawn and at least 4 other aesthetic garden/yard/lawn projects.  With nice weather forecast the next 2 days I expect to put in about 16 hours of yard work.  I like doing things myself.  Keeps me fit and the good feeling of a job well done, or at least just done.

They're "protesting" here in Scottsdale right now right down the road from where I live. Several windows broken at some businesses here.
