Adding Adams is a pipedream.  Eagles don't have the trade capital nor the cap space to make it happen.

I think anything is possible.  They can work the cap, not worried about that one bit.  The concern is what's it going to cost from NYJ to get him here?  IMO opinion if there ever is a year to give up a first it's this year.  We don't know what kind of college season we are going to have.  If it's shortened or cancelled could players stay an extra year if granted that by the NCAA?  Could there be a waiver that might let sophomores or younger guys declare?

Then again if there is no NFL season do they look in to a 32 team lottery for draft order, meaning the Eagles could have a shot at the first overall pick?  If that happened then you'd kick yourself for trading the 1st for Adams.  Just thinking of scenarios we could look at.

What's the relationship of Joe and Howie?  Did Joe Douglas leave on good terms or would he love to stick it to his old team and put Adams on a competitors roster?  Did he leave on great terms and he and Howie can work on a deal easier?

As of today, if both the NFL and NCAA play full seasons, I'm giving up a 1st for Adams.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I’ve made it clear that I don’t think we’ll have a season so...

why sign anyone if they’re not going to play in 2020? That includes Peters, Adams, Clowney, and anyone else.

Brooks will have a year and a half to recuperate.

I have no idea what this means in terms of cap room and salary, the CBA, fans’ seats, etc but don’t hold your breath waiting for the refund.

The uncertainty re the season has held teams back on making serious moves.  Jets non-decision on Adams demonstrates that, why make a big commitment to a player when you don't know if there would be a season.  He still has 2 seasons left on his Jets contract, just let them played out.  The same applies to the Eagles, no need to rush into a murky situation.

I reserve the right to gross out anyone at anytime with a shirtless selfie

Blog has certainly been entertaining reading lately.

I've been reluctant to chime in as most of the various topics have been highly controversial and I'm not one to stir the pot, such as whether or not a marinade will work on chicken, can Pryor be counted on at Rt Guard, was Picketts' Charge a sound military strategy or a mistake, can you sing our National Anthem from a kneeling position, will the NFL go full Darth Vader on headgear, can Howie manage the cap ( always a favorite), does wearing a Mask lessen the chance of your exhaust gasses landing on those around you, do tomato plants have feelings, are a mortar and pestle required  kitchen utensils, is $600 too much to spend on a hybrid smoker/grill system, and best of all, which was more fun, kicking Cowgirls teeth in 44-6 or beating the snot outa those poser Vikings.

The Blog is bangin right along on all cylinders, refreshing...

You do know 120K people died in less than 6 months from this virus? And that’s just confirmed cases. This isn’t manipulation at work, it’s a pandemic.

This is how we are in America anymore and both with Dems and Repubs, everything has to be about some kind of freaking conspiracy from the other side. We can't even reason with our own minds anymore and decide that wearing a mask for a short period of our lives is inconvenient but it may save someones life. No it's I won't wear it because the Dems are just trying to control me.

You can argue many things but the Dems don't control whether or not I wear a mask I do. BTW folks Asians have been wearing masks for years when they travel and it's not required by anyone. It's just smart and considerate. We've all sat beside some dumarse on a plane that is sick and spreading his dumarse germs all over the plane. Put a mask on ya moron.

I'm leaning towards this as well.
Only thing that makes sense is signing young college free agents to 2 year deals.

I am against any amendment that cuts into an individual’s rights. But the Montana law doesn’t do that.  It just takes away the anonymity of the people using their money to speak through PACs and such.

I had a discussion with an election lawyer a few days ago. He was telling me about a reporting scheme that PACs in my state can use to avoid disclosing donors.  My question to him was does it matter anyway.  I mean it's not like there's some trail of dark money that should surprise us on a candidate.

Did you not see where I said no one in the stores are wearing masks and there is only I case in my county.

If I lived in a highly populated area or somewhere that had  the virus was a big problem I probably would have a different perspective

The guidelines and advice has changed so often that no one knows what to believe

What a succes story in your county!  What did you all do and are you testing frequently now?  As a curiosity, what is the population density?

Not to mention all the asymptomatic carriers who aren’t getting tested because they feel fine...

When did I call names. We were having a respectful discussion and you finally resorted to the last bastion of someone who can't make an argument.

It has nothing to do with Dems and Repubs.

Covid stats for Missouri Cases 16, 908. Deaths 946 for a rate of 0.0559 Total population 6.15 million

Covid stats for PA Cases 80236. Deaths 6361 for a rate of 0.079 Total population 12.7 million

PA has twice as many people as MO and 4.7 times the number of cases and 6.72 times the number of deaths.

Even Just Relax on this site said yesterday he has Covid and had done everything recommended to avoid it.

Keep emotion out of it. These are the stats.

I'd post the links for you but they're a mile long. Just Google PA Covid stats andd Missouri Covid stats if you don't believe me.

POP density is very low. If you read my posts on the subject you will see where I said if I lived in a highly populated area my perspective would most likely be different.

The point is a one size fits all solution is not the answer

Did you read the report earlier in the week that said asymptomatic carriers were unlikely to transmit the disease?

On CNN I think but I may be wrong.

CNBC,  not CNN

The lady from the WHO stupidly said and walked it back the very next day. The infuriating thing is that people continue to say exactly what you said. It seems a lot of people didn’t see see the correction.

I wasn't calling you a moron, I'm calling the sick guy that get's on a plane a moron. That said, yes, people are going to get it some even when taking precautions but others will not. Even if my mask keeps 1 old person from dying it's well worth my inconvenience.

Constitutional amendment needed for this as well - Probably as good idea as any.

The precaution of wearing a mask and social distancing works everywhere to prevent the spread.  It's not like wearing a mask is a big deal. It isn't.

That's why I think of wearing my mask as protecting others not protecting myself.

That’s not entirely accurate.  It’s not a political conspiracy, but it is a manipulation.  Many people dying with the virus are being counted as dying from the virus, which are two very different things.  The true death toll of the virus is, in many ways, impossible to determine.

Exactly. Since the Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements to hospitals are 3x that of a normal admission we will never know the true number.

@eagle45

Curiosity got the better of me... Did some reading about the 1918 outbreak of Spanish flu.  Seems that the first wave was minor comparatively (not that dissimilar from what we are seeing with this virus), but a mutated form came back and spread in the fall of 1918, and that had a "W" curve, where healthy young adults (25-35 years old, male and female) died at alarmingly high rates.  It was later found to be related to 'cytokine explosion', where the body's own act of trying to fight the virus gets over-activated and actually causes more trouble.  So, here's the question (two-part)... What do you think the odds are of a similar pattern to the 'Spanish' flu in 1918, and if we see that, is the medical community capable of combating a "cytokine explosion", which apparently killed these young adults within 24 hours of the onset of symptoms.

Disclaimer: I know there are several significant differences between that virus and this one... but there's a lot of discussion about a fall recurrence of a massive outbreak.

Fake news.   He ran a slow 40 in Indianapolis.   #Reach
