nothing on the stat sheet other than putting up points will be what I focus on.

If we are at the 5 yard line because of a turnover and Hurts scores or hands it off doesn’t make him good either it goes both ways can score because of other things then a player being good.

Having the ability to move the ball and then capping it off is what matter all of which generate you guessed it stats. Going to be BS stats anyway you look at it when you watch games but ignoring stats just because of it is comical

Brady had 3 SB wins before anyone considered him a top guy in fantasy....which that first year was 2007.

Lamar is a guy with fantasy stats.    I don't consider him a top QB though.  4 playoff games with minimal production in the point column is the reason why.  The other guys put up yards... but also put up the points and wins I'm the playoffs.

As for Hurts...nothing on the stat sheet other than putting up points will be what I focus on.   Can he read the field and make the difficult throws when needed.  Can he cause team success without just the use of his legs.

3rd an 20...  if he runs for 15 yards before they punt, that's nice for stats, doesn't do much for the team though.

4th and 5 is much more manageable.

I have major questions about our redzone offense. After Goedert what are the plans?

Seems like most of the time now(more than ever) it’s become a 75 yard drive situation.

I don’t want the AR offenses where we rack up 500+ yards but can only manage 17 points and I don’t want offense that can only score thanks to a great D putting us in good positions.

I want a good O that can move the ball and score

Plenty comes down to discipline. Staying on track on down and distance. Staying focused and not committing stupid penalties.

And this all comes down to players performing

First time for Siri calling plays. What does he come up with for third downs? There is also the issue of having every look have alternatives. Should be able to attack in multiple ways out of every formation.

Doug was a first time play caller AR was a first time play caller we will have growing pains sure but Siri has Steichen who called plays and has the same amount of experience(maybe more actually) as Reich did for Doug back in 2016.

But again Siri can call the perfect play if the players don’t execute it well though can’t fault the coach. Nothing is black and white lots of grey area

I don’t expect us to come out of the gates blazing. All this youth and inexperience players/coaches will take some time to get going most likely. Then once they hopefully find success teams gameplan around shutting that down. That’s the important moment for me. Once teams figure out tendencies and weaknesses can we adjust and overcome that?

This is the biggest concern for Hurts teams will adjust to him and his legs him proving he can win with his arm is going to be the being adjustment needed…And we started to see it biggest moment the 2nd half of the Dallas game.

Watching Hurts it was clear and easy to see he was a below avg. passer and is a massive area he needs to take strides in his legs will only take him so far

How many times do we see Jerry’s Superyacht?

Even funnier stats aren’t important but scoring is a stat…. tds are a stat, turnovers that help or hurt us scoring are a stat… Yards that put us in position are stats…. It a sport folks stats matter some are more important then other final score is all that matters.

But if we win a game 6-3 thanks to our Defense sure we won but doesn’t mean Hurts is good probably means are O sucked. Just like if we win a game 45-42 probably means are D struggled.

Correct,  why points is the stat to look at.

I mentioned It's before a punt...  nothing to manage... but looks good on the stat sheet.

But it isn’t scoring is only one aspect doesn’t matter if we can score on a turnover at the one yard line  or hell even RZ if we can’t get the ball in that position to begin with

Agree about points production with Hurts.

If it's 3rd and 20 at their own 5 yard line and he runs for 15 he has done a lot for his team.  3rd and 20 at the opponents 35 yard line down 2 points and he gets out of bounds at the 20 with seconds remaining...situation matters.

What is a "turnover"?

An interception, fumble recovery or the like where the defense gets the ball back before the offense runs out of downs.

Is that so?  I've seen other teams get them but the Eagles seem to be averse to such chicanery.
