Wentz proved you need a backup if he’s your starter

Yea playing in 16 games the year before really showed he needed that backup I know let’s get a backup instead of actual starters that can help the team just sound dumb

420 plays out of shotgun. 87 under Center. Gotta be in shotgun to throw a quick screen.

It’s called….HOW WE WON THE SUPER BOWL. Not so dumb then. 2019 if our backup wasn’t 80 years old we probably win a playofff game there. Seahawks weren’t any good.

9 False Starts. 7 Offensive Holding penalties. Who you blaming for those? They hurt. Most penalized team in the league.

Don’t want to add the 5 illegal linemen down the field who you blaming on that… Holding lots of OL will hold over letting the QB get crushed Hurts dancing around doesn’t help the OL…. It again excuses

Did we spend a 2nd round pick on that backup??? Hurts wins that playoff game if he was our backup in 2019 I’d say he doesn’t say it would have looked worse then with Mccown

There is nothing you can say that makes taking Hurts or any QB in round 2 in 2019 ok that was a terrible call and a complete slap in the face to Wentz who had nobodies at WR that he was throwing to all year 4K with no one over 500 yards

Kyler Murray is almost exclusively out of shotgun AZ had like 8% of plays from under center last year

Yes, your trying for excuses

Coming from the guy making every excuse he can for Hurts…. Rich

But I do love avg. league avg. for false starts 7.5 league avg. for holding 8.6…. Eagles 9 for each

league avg. for illegal man downfield .72 the Eagles 5

I mean yea we are flagged to much but really not that drastically off the league avg. for the top two

Just seems like each time we get something going….boom….shoot our selves in the foot.

The pick play stuff I’m not sure about. Tampa was blocking our guy that would be out trying to cover the receiver before the ball gets there. Everybody is running blatant pick plays. Seems like we got targeted there somehow. Watch guys just run right into the defenders. That and Pass Interference and offensive holding seem very selective. As tight as the competition is in the NFL…..those could be choosing the winners and losers.

AZ has 13 holding calls 12 false starts

Oakland had 14 holding and 11 false starts

Houston 14 holding 7 false starts

Cleveland 11 holding 7 false starts

TB 10 false starts 5 holding

Dallas 11 holding 8 false starts

5/6 teams that have more holding and false starts then us.

Idk I’d be more concerned on the penalties that are out of whack for the league avg. want them all down but penalties will happen at times

face mask league avg. is little over 1 we have 3….

Illegal man is a big one 5 vs the avg. of .72….

to many men of the field we have 3 avg is .3….

Unsportsmanlike conduct 2 vs avg .3

encroachment 3 vs avg of .5

At least somebody got close enough to face mask. Extra men on the field still isn’t enough for us to do anything. Illegal man? Not everybody has a Green Card, c’mon. Unsportsmanlike sounds like our scheme.

I mean we can joke about it all you want but these ones are way more concerning the the false starts and holding that on par with the league avg.

Detroit has this little 5’8” WR I never heard of from Holy Cross. Had a huge game against the Rams.

Rasul Douglass seals the Packers win with an int.

Sigh

And you still missing the whole point…. Would the 2017 defense be better with JJ 08 or McDermott 09…. Because I’d put money on JJ unit being superior… Just like I’d put money on JJ unit still being a top 10 unit in 09 if he didn’t pass away even with out Dawkins and Bradley bet it doesn’t drop to 19th…

Impact of a coach and a good players matter sure but so does a good coach that knows how to use them…

Forget it BG, Joemas is all about players and nothing about coaches.... Bradley Played 2 years with JJ and one year with McDermott in 2010. Dawkins was at the end of his career in 2008, so made little difference either way. Yet he made the whole defense? LMAO!

McDermott never had a top 15 defense for the Eagles, yet he had basically the same players. To go from a top 5 defense to middle of the road defense with basically the same team shows lack of coaching. Sure, McDermott ended up as a solid coach years later. Fact remains JJ was the heart of that Eagles Defense. The players played inspired football for him. They did not for McDermott.....

We're past that I believe lol

OK, So when the Eagles lose on Sunday, Miami will have the worse record in the NFL by strength of Schedule. So, it is entirely possible for Philly to get the #1 pick plus another top 5 pick next year.

Question, how many out there would trade the first overall pick for Russell Wilson? This could be possible. They may have to give up a player too, but not anymore 1st round picks. My thoughts; Trade that 1st overall pick and grab a bunch of draft capital including a 1 plus a 2 in 2023 draft. Then use all those draft picks next year on the defense. In 2023 we would have the capital to trade for a early draft pick on a QB if it is needed. Anyway, Siri will be gone at the end of the year, along with Gannon and other coaches. We will not fire anyone before the end of the year because we have no one on this coaching staff that could run the team. Interim HC always come from within. Who would you choose from this staff?

Yeah we drafted his BU. he is our current QB 😬

UH False starts would probably be on Hurts,or the fact he can't keep a straight cadence. The holding penalties arise from the fact after 5 seconds Hurts is still holding the ball behind the LOS-ROCKET science stuff

I'm almost afraid to bring in a decent QB like him or ARod if this stupid college scheme is what we see as our future. I need to know WHO's scheme this is. It wasn't the scheme in Indy before Luck quit. They had to ADJUST to Brissett. So I am trying to figure out if Siri is in the "Brissett camp" or if he is merely adjusting to the noodle armed indecisive QB we gave him. I mean in both cases you had 2 different style QB's(Luck/Brissett, Wentz/Hurts). So what would the scheme be if ARod was just dying to play here(we know better, but for the sake of argument). ARod did not have Adams last night nor some of his other normal WR's. SO they went to the run game which normally against AZ would be a nightmare, but they made it work and took AZ's defense down. Arguably Howie THINKS he has the next Murray and is proceeding on that assumption, but the talent of Hurts is not even close to Murrays or Jackson and even they struggle vs a decent defense,so basically this is like trying to run the KY derby with a plow horse

And this is part of the reason I want to see a QB change…. I mean the offense can’t be completely overhauled at this point and time scheme wise we will still have lot do the elements used with Hurts. But I do think minshew would make it look completely different.

A. Think he is more consistent intermediate and deep passer

B. Think he would be more decisive on RPO throws

C. Him not being the athlete Hurts is he would hand off more in the RPOs

D. We would then also start to see things added that better suit Minshew.

What makes you think ARod wpuld even consider coming to this clown show?

I'll bet he has a no trade clause in his contract.
