Its almost draft weekend. Boring, but exciting to see who the team selects. Please draft best player available. Some want yet another WR at #1? Why? Invest in the best player period, whatever position. This team needs players at every position.

I see the argument continues about Hurts. I still see him as extremely limited at the position in the NFL. But it is just my opinion.

Wilson to the Donkeys makes that division BRUTAL! Not sure the Chiefs will dominate like they have over the past few years. It will be interesting to see what happens without Tyreek Hill going forward. Speaking of which, the Dolphins look like they have. Ade some key progress. I’d trade them straight across for Tua. I know, it won’t happen. Just saying I would. Captain Dueche, i mean Aaron Rodgers, going to get his money and have no one to throw to because he's so greedy and his ego won’t fit through any door.

Brady back to play until he’s 45; duh, just like he said he would. Knew his retirement wouldn’t last long. Gronk will join him again. Anything to keep the Cowpies out of the big game please. Eagles sure won’t do it. Hopeful they are better than this past season. They somehow made the playoffs but everyone knew they had no chance to win against the real playoff teams. Painful.

Seahawks are so stupid to let Wilson walk out the door. No chance I let that happen. Now they have absolutely no chance at all. Now we get to be reminded how average to crappy of a coach Carroll really is.

Happy to see Cox get re-signed. He does a LOT more than collect sacks. Reddick is a good pickup.

Hope everyone is doing well. I’ve been buried with work and recently a new Yorkie puppy for my wife. Lots of fun, but LOTS of work too.

"The 21st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Reagor has 64 catches for 695 yards and three touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons. A pick after he was taken, the Minnesota Vikings selected Justin Jefferson, who is already a two-time Pro Bowler thanks to his 196 catches for 3,016 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns"                                                                                         Not rocket science that your round 1 WR has to be top rate and also not rocket science that we need "get this right" after the Reagor effup. I STILL can't believe Howie let JJ get away. Stop trying to outsmart yourself Howie and TAKE THE BEST WR You can get and DO IT NOW. I would prefer 2,one later but one is a MUST IMO. There is apparently some trade interest for Reagor and as you know I have never been a fan,nor a Jjaw fan,nor a Barnett fan. So if we are rebuilding we got an ok start last year. Adding Slay was a boon to the D,   I hope Reddick has the same effect. White should help.I hope he does well enough we can re-sign him,but we need that young talent infusion to continue and see who emerges from it all. First step is recognizing the talent. If you fail there it's going to be an effort in futility. I believe there are WR's in every round that can help us,but the talent level drops off rather briskly after round 2. Olave/Wilson are my 2 targets. They are similar with slight nuances depending on what you prefer, but both are immediate contributors like Smith, and wee need that threat on the other side. There are many "project" WR's late. It could be that the covid BS hurt/slowed their development. We need to locate these guys as well(I think I have some). I also have a RB on my mock. SO, I will ask you all your op on if we even take a RB or let that slide. It's not like we ran Sanders to death. He's barely used. I am anxious to see how Siri approaches things after his learning year. If we don't take another RB,the I would take another TE and cut the non performers. We don't need that many roster spots for TE's. Quality vs quanity

Here is the issue.   Plenty of needs and can only satisfy one with each pick.  The defense needs a lot of help.  Many people don't have an offensive player taken in the first 2 days.     As long as we get players that help...can't obsess with one possession.  I'd like to get a stud WR... if not, then let's hope it's a stud elsewhere.  Either way works.. if they pass on a one,  doesn't mean they are satisfied at the position or any other positions.

There are WR's I would take in round 2, after that the talent drops off. If we want to judge Hurts, give him weapons and then it's sink or swim for him. If you fail to give him weapons, then you are back at "well maybe another year or 2 so we can get him weapons". I would prefer to avoid this. I don't want any doubt in Howies brain it's time to move on from Hurts. I'm fine taking studs in 1, and a stud WR WILL be there when we pick. If we miss in 1 there are still 2 in round 2 worthy(Christian Watson and Skyy Moore). If we don't have a WR by round 2, then more excuses for Hurts and I really want to avoid that in his year 3 effort. If we want to move on either drafting a QB next year,or enticing a decent FA QB here,we need WR's that can show they can play the game at a high level. If you lack that QB's will play elsewhere.

We'll see who is available.   I can't disagree with your thoughts... I don't worry about Hurts though,  there won't be any excuses IMO with the front office, they will move on.   Not worried about free agent QB either.   To me it needs to be a draft pick for the next QB.

I'd like a stud wr... but I just want good players at any position at this point.

Yeah it's tricky because it's not like were moving around because we need 1/2 players,we need 9 lol. The only discussion is who we take before whom because we need 1 at every spot. Like to get enough decent ones to where we can clear out the dead wood that we have just because "there is no one better"

Conspiracy theory of the day, bear with me.

Brady retired to take the Dolphins GM job

he then would have hired Sean Payton who unexpectedly left the Saints

Brady would then unretire as his Bucs contract would have been void by taking the GM job.

Belichick got wind of this plan and sent an E-mail to the "Wrong head coach"

Since now there was no way the Dolphins could hire Payton because of the discrimination lawsuit and Rooney rule Brady unretired and returned to the Bucs.

That pissed off Ariens who then quit as Bucs HC.

And there folks is my conspiracy theory for the day.

To me it’s about the players...that will dictate to me who i would pick.  Is the best WR there better than the best CB or DL.  That is what they need to think about IMO.   Hopefully it's not we just picked this position over that one.  If so, almost guaranteed to be a lineman!

Yeah I have DT and WR the top 2. But we could trade another 1 back for help at more positions. Hard to believe how fast the SB fell apart. I know we like that S Pitre in 2 and there are some CB's in 2,but of course you are giving up a 1. It will be interesting to see how Howie plays it. I'm sure he will pick players on no ones mock(I still don't recall seeing Jjaw on ANY mock ANYWHERE) Oh well,it's Howie and we have to live with it

Just get guys in here and build.  The draft always has a negative mindset IMO because for every choice made there are 10 other options that people want.

Take 1 guy, you pass on all the other options.    Don't trade up, people complain,  don't trade back and people complain.  It is what it is.  Dallas seems to win in the draft every year though right?  Doesn't translate in the end. I just focus on who we get and forget the rest.   Ultimately it's all that matters.

They get good players, they just can't put it together. Maybe why Garrett is gone. I don't really get angry when they choose a different position that what I mocked. I get mad when the position they picked was like mine, but they obviously cannot identify the talent at that position. MS2 and Reagor are examples of correct position choice, but huge player whiffs.

I stopped investing time and getting attached to later round draft picks. They never take my guy. Always trade down when they are right there for the taking.

I look at the teams needs versus first rounders. Maybe some second rounders.

I've been slacking on draft prep and i believe it's paying off. I don't care anymore (and neither should you!)

Often, the later round guys may not make the team or don't make it to the playing field.

One popular trade-back scenario could be with the Chiefs, who hold the 29th and 30th overall picks in 2022. After trading Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins, Andy Reid can use another wide receiver. There should be a few very good ones to choose from either at picks 15 or 18, but there is likely to be a significant dropoff to whoever might still be available at pick 29.                            Here is the stupidity showcased. yes I agree the WR's drop off at the end of 1` and mid 2,after that they REALLY drop off. SO here they are assuming Pascal is the answer at WR-LMFAO(WRONG!!!!) and WHY we better take that WR OURSELVES

9. Pierre Strong, South Dakota State

Summary: Pierre Strong should find a place as a rotational back with the upside to edge towards the starter as part of a rotation if he develops nicely. He has good speed and can create explosive plays by finding a lane and exploding through it. He has a strange frame and is quite leggy, which makes him struggle to get going if he hesitates and can’t find a lane.

Eagles Thoughts: I think Strong would be an excellent pick for the Eagles as he could backup Sanders this year and potentially help replace him the following year. Sanders biggest value is the explosive plays and Strong will also create big plays, especially behind the dominant offensive line that the Eagles have. If he can develop his route running further, he could be a steal later on in the draft. I would consider him towards the end of the 4th and thind he’d be a good 5th round pick.

So ...the assumption is the Chiefs have the bigger need to replace a TOP WR.  Because they lost one.   It's also assumed the Chiefs are closer to contention...so they would be more interested in ONE player.

The Eagles ...the team with MANY needs  and further from contention...could use MULTIPLE picks in the possible trade scenario.

So while you continue to have tunnel vision on WR, the people that need to predict trades and discuss football for a living are just trying to come up with possible scenarios.

Now if we get in position where multiple teams want to jump the Saints... ie. Steelers and Chiefs.  A nice bidding war for 15 or 18 could be nice for us.

Deebo Samuel erased all team affiliation from social media. That’s our guy. Trade for him. Everybody knows I’m a bit of a homer being a big fan of his that draft. I’d give up both first round picks for him.

SO if a top WR is a NEED, why trade that pick away when you can FILL that need? I am aware we have many needs, but why sacrifice one to gather more picks of lesser quality players(regardless of it's at WR or not)

Because specifically the idea is the WR puts KC as a top contender... where as the trade could help us get multiple players ...which we need MULTIPLE... NOT JUST WR!

Why are you a homer..Homer... is Deebo from your area?

Eagles brought in Matt Corral for a predraft visit. He seems to have cooled off a ton after being thought of as one of the top QBs in this group.

Style wise though gots in that similar mold of Hurts that RPO style QB only difference I think Corral has a strong arm.

Personally would probably pass on Corral but wouldn’t shock me if we took him keep that QB FACTORY GOING!!!!!
