Cmon Cunningham. How many games did the Eagles’ punter completely LOSE for the Eagles? Defense could have bailed him out when he had a bad punt. Yeah, we all saw it and remember TWO or THREE punts during the YEAR that honestly made a significant impact.

Just saying. Get over the punter issue. Do you see the Chiefs, Packers, Bucs, Etc blaming their punter if they lose? No chance! Plenty of punters out there. Why would you invest a draft pick for a punter? Maybe I am understanding you incorrectly, but I really think you have to be more diplomatic on the punter issue.

Zero.   The team hasn't been competitive vs a 9 win or better team since they beat Buffalo Halloween weekend 2019.   One close game vs a decent team in 2022 will be an improvement over the last 3 seasons.  That's 100% fact, can't be disputed.

I don’t want to go overboard here. Our P isn’t good. We need to fix every position. I’m just talking a fifth round pick or later. Defense wasn’t very good either to be capable of bailing out his shanks. How long can an elite P play for? Potentially a really long career. But I was half joking with my just get Punt God stuff.

The most significant punt play last year was the one vs Carolina that won the game for us.    

Do the Eagles have maybe the best trio of WRs in the franchises history right now???

Lot of projecting might be needed. But if AJ brown plays at his same level his previous 3 seasons, Smith improves along with Watkins. With the right QB we could have 3 1000 yard guys.

The #Eagles still haven’t officially cut G Nate Herbig, according to the transaction wire. Perhaps, the team could be looking for a last-minute swap now that the news has leaked. He’d be subject to waivers otherwise with a release

Could easily see a team parting with a late pick to secure Herbig if they don’t think they could get him off waivers.

Herbig might not be great but he can play and start in this league and has what 17+ games under his belt. 

Herbig wasn’t ever great. He could fill in and be trusted on his assignment on multiple positions. But never really did all that well. Had plenty of opportunity. Improved from stinking to serviceable. No real problem moving on. Think Anderson is coming on. Opeta has improved massively. Awosicka I think was going to move ahead of Herbig also. Herbig just didn’t have much left of upside. Serviceable versatile backup was his ceiling. Most of the time you love having that on the bench. This year we have too much depth with upside. Wish him luck…really would have thought we could have squeezed some kind of pick out of him.

You really love to hype  your favorite backups guys way to much. 
Herbig was easily better then Opeta and Anderson and grew way more then both and they have all been around about the same time. 
 

I have no issues moving on from Herbig but difference between Herbig and the other two is Hebig can be trusted starter if needed. Would not feel confident about Anderson or Opeta if they got thrust into action for extended period of time. Opeta stayed getting exposed every time he was in the lineups

I would look at Flowers at G. He is 28,probably a few years left. Should not be real expensive

I would also look at Landon Collins at S. Both him and Flowers were let go by the wuss(Collins also 28)

Jarvis Landry is about the only current available FA I’m interested in. I don’t expect we make a move for him. Things will change. Certain guys will become cut candidates and lose jobs to some of the rooks.
