I’d pass if we weren’t willing to pay Nate what 2.4m why go out and bring another guy who likely would cost more. We have good OL depth as it is. Plus Sout who does wonders with UDFAs

Was definitely going to be an uphill battle for Perry to even make the team with Shew, Strong and even Reid Sinnett who was the #3 last year

yeah opens a roster spot.No need for 5 QB's

Sounded like Perry was the backup plan when we thought Strong wasn’t going to sign here

Doesn’t he want money?

Round 1 talent, I'm sure he does, but he would stop the "who's playing RG this week" thing. Depends what he wants

I liked Perry as a UDFA,but Strong should actually have been drafted in late 6, so this was the better move for us. We can afford to wait on him a year. He should be better than Sinnet if he can get back

Paying Lane big money. Got Driscoll backing him up. Even have Clark. Flowers wouldn’t even want to come here. But he’s likely holding out for money has been my point.

Don’t think even if he signed we would hand him the starting job he would just be another guy in the mix for the competition. Mind you Semaulo will be back healthy he should be the clear front runner for the job

I don’t think there is any wait on Strong. Just a matter of his knee holding up. He’s a smart kid. Should pick things up fairly quick.

My fault….I thought Flowers was a T.

Nothing wrong with Strong he finished the season at Nevada. team are weary of his medical history with the knee for good reason. But besides that 100% ready to go

I'm not going to put him in serious playing positions in camp until I know he's ready. Gives us a nice option to lose/trade Shew if a team loses their QB

Strong can sling the rock.

He played both spots think they moved him inside last year to G

He easily has the best pure arm talent of any QB in our camp.

I like his versatility. IDK what kind of contract he wants, but I would inquire. Seems though redundant after losing Herbig, but you never know what's going on at the farm. Sometimes you need changes just to get some different blood in

After you mentioned him I did research. I like him better than Love or Lance. If he pans out,we may not need that second round 1 for a QB lol

yeah he's got a cannon

If I remember Ham, you liked Flowers for us in that draft

Not sure I like him more then Lance but definitely had round 1 talent as a passer…. The concern comes with his knee holding up.

Anyway,I would at least see what he wants and I think King on a 2 year with options would be a nice stop gap. He can play CB or S

King gives us time to sort through and develop the FA DB's we hauled in after the draft

I keep hearing about Hurt's workout regimen. He was lifting with Johnson and Kelce during the off season and also worked with the QB Guru to help improve his mechanics. Yes, I wonder if he can improve enough to keep him moving forward. But I admire his attitude. The dude is working his butt off to get better. I hope he does as it will free up allot of draft capital for next season. I give him about a 30% chance he remains here after next season. Before the draft I had him around 10% so that is something.....

The question will come down to will he improve enough that we are willing to sign him to a long term deal next year.

And we can sit here and say the Eagles don’t have to but we all know the FO tends to prefer to get deals done sooner rather then later with players. Probably looking at that 35-40m range

Considering Semaulo wasn’t guaranteed a starting spot the rookie being unknown and Driscoll health. Could have definitely argued Herbig should have been in the conversation to start at RG.

Not saying he would have won but in the competition

I guess they took their shot for a trade...then figured to just release him now so he can get on the open market ASAP.    I'm just thinking Seamulo is the bigger cap hit to shed..  they lose a little depth without Herbig.   But they probably figure he walks next year anyway and let's save a little cap while we can.

I agree. This may be an issue. How much of an improvement will be needed to keep him? Can he improve enough that they offer him a Tag for another year? I guess we will see what happens soon enough. He has allot of players on his side. That helps, but at the end of the day, he still needs to show us something. Listen, I hope we all are amazed with his improvement.

Going to a better QB coaching situation.

Isn't Hurts' godfather or uncle our QB coach?  You would think excellent intangibles there.

I'm glad he has the workaholic attitude. I hope he can pick up his arm strength. More importantly,I want to see him going through multiple reads and not missing wide open receivers. That's the big step I need to see. If he can't succeed in this offense he won;t succeed anywhere
