Good point made here that they consider the guys they got last year in the secondary as "as good" as any they could have drafted. We shall see if they develop, but they would have to devlop a rook anyhow. So knowing we couldn't fix it all,I agree with the article that they did a terrific job. I think we can beat up a few teams this year

Also FWIW,every article I have read has said Strong has a good shot at being a starter in time(even if it's not here) and he was a total steal. I know 93 liked him alot and we got the kid I liked as a UDFA QB also,so we should have no issues with the 1,2,3 QB

If they drafted Jobe and Goodrich in rounds 4 and 5.  Would that change perspective of not addressing the need?

What if instead of trading with Houston... we just drafted Davis at 15...and with the other picks...drafted Strong, Goodrich and Jobe?

It's the same result... but I bet people would look at it differently.

I was hoping for more of a top talent, so we'll see if these can develop into useable ones.We should be able to get more pressure from the D line now, which will help the secondary. IDK why Jobe fell so far,but for whatever reason we loaded up a little after the draft ended. We can shore up the secondary next year if we need to

Funny thing is.... going into next year. Our DL can look pretty thin too. .... Davis, Milton and Sweat.. with possibly Hargrave on his final year...that could very easily be what we are looking at.

I have no clue if we will like Rattler next year. WAY to early to know, but I'm not writin off ANYONE based on college boo's

There was a reason for the boos. Expectations were high…but he stunk up the place. Wasn’t just one bad play or two. It was a culmination of a bad season. Then the Freshman came right in and lit it up. Proving it was just him. That’s tough for me to get super excited about as a first round pick QB. Even if he lights it up this season….last year will still be in my mind. He was the early Heisman favorite from having a fantastic season before. So lots to consider here.

LOL no there will be more than the top 2 to work with. Alot better class than this one was. who TF cares about booing college kids???? I don't ignore a player on that. Hurts should be booed out of Philly if that's the best you got

This is just too simplistic and not considering why the fans were booing. He was stinking up the joint. Then a Freshman came in and lit it up. Nobody was stepping in to light it up in place of Hurts last year.

IDK,we didn't have the usual dominant pass rush. We get burned deep because we don't have the players in the secondary(Gannons strength as a coach)

Slay is a stud. Maddox upper echelon in the slot. Epps proven himself. Harris and McLeod proven commodities. Much better than Mills and Darby I’d say.

Why do you think they were booing? He was screening up last season. Wasn’t just one bad game. Expectations were high. They’ve had some very quality QB play there recently to live up to. Hurts, Murray and himself. He wasn’t playing anywhere near that level last year. Give it up on one game. They wouldn’t have gone through all that for  one game. He stunk.

That's great..   so about what matters...    looking at our skill position players this year, how many other Eagles teams due you think had a better group as a whole?

The Arizona Cardinals will reportedly be without DeAndre Hopkins for six games as he was suspended for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

You are as good as your last season. QB's will be based on their final seasons performance, no one gives a crap about a bad game in previous years. Rattler, similar to Hurts since Hurts could not cut it where he was and had to transfer???? Love the double standards you put out. I have no clue if we will be interested in Rattler or not. I really could care less at this point, but I'm not writing him off based on college kids boo's.You are welcome to,I will look at all options as it should be

Why do any fans boo? They want total domination and when that doesn't happen they are unhappy. Once again I'm NOT letting 1/2 college game of booing KIDS decide my next QB

Like Hurts??? LMAO

https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/spencer-rattler-1.html   So he had his best comp % the year he transferred. I see no stats that bear out the 1/2 game boo's. And lets recall he was only a fresh/soph. So I will wait and see how he does in SC

Ouch…that’s huge! They are potentially a team in our way.

Didn't see that one coming.

Yeah pretty wild. Guess the price tag was a bit too much. But I was saying I thought he was down the list of options at RG. Some thought he was higher. Clearly that was not the case. Thought of him as just a serviceable player. So no major loss.

2 less games he threw for less than half as many yards. Instead of 28 TDs he threw for 11. Drastic falloff. It happened. It wasn’t just a fan or two. It was the whole country watching the Heisman front runner do a belly flop. Was expected to come out in the draft. Instead he lost his college job. So I’m trying to figure out what he’d have to accomplish for me to ignore his 11 TD season last year to consider him worthy of being a first round pick. Just a reminder that Hurts, the guy who can’t throw, threw 32 TDs in the same offense.

LOL Joe,no I was simply pointing out there are more than 2 available QB's next draft. I posted an article about who to keep your eyes on. And pointing out 1/2 a college game where he was booed will not deter me from looking at him

Rattler is a child; prima donna little baby; very average college QB. No! Please no!
