Just paying for someone who's not working, sounds like the govt. Dude is hurt so often he has reserved parking at the mash tent

What happens if a team releases an injured player.... I thought the player gets some $$$?    You think paying a minimal amount to any guy is going to effect anything ???

Here are Some of the charities Woods is involved with: How many does Vick get involved with again? How much of his time does he donate other than what is mandated?

Tiger Woods has supported the following charities listed on this site:

Not to take sides.. but why would Vick be " mandated " to do anything now?  Wasn't it Lurie who wanted him to do the dog stuff....like when he started playing here?  Like 2009?

But yeah, dog fighting was a larger cultural issue, I think it's pretty common knowledge where someone doesn't have to " believe it cause it's on the internet "?

For the record I'm against both dog fighting and cheating on a spouse.  Not really looking at athletes as any role models for anything they do or don't outside of their sport.   I would leave the discussion in saying " for the sport of golf, I like or respect what Tiger is doing/saying at the moment "   I would avoid all the other stuff.   I see what was meant by the original post, not sure any of the rest was necessary or had to do with it?

He was brought up that Dog fighting was OK? Seriously? That is your Validation? He did not know any better that Killing and Mistreating animals is Fine? Talk about zero respect! I have absolutely no respect for Vic. Sure he is doing all the right things. But for what reason? Woods cheated on his wife like about 40% of the male population. He is paying her a Kings ransom in Alimony. He has a great relationship with his kids and it appears his Ex has forgiven him. But you have more repsect for a Killer? I do not get your reasoning.

Of coarse I have a different way of looking at things than both of you probably. Vick was raised around the violence of training bad ass fighting dogs as a status symbol and gambling means to get money. I love animals. Think it’s despicable. But yet grew up in a much different environment. Tiger like many athletes probably had an open relationship relationship with his wife. She loved living her lifestyle and what not. But it coming out and being known changes things….disrespectful and embarrassing. Just like when Kobe got busted….she knew what he was up to. But secretly is one thing. Public knowledge…..changes everything. Kobe bought her a ring to sink the Titanic for that apology, Everybody lives their own life to hopefully make them happy. I don’t impose my rules on anybody else. Tough in this screwed up world to be happy. Do whatever you need to.

As people, nope,no respect. if I was a woman I would never be able to trust them. As far as sports figures they are famous, but that has zero to do with the people they are. They don't answer to me,they will answer to whomever when they pass on(and that is what I was taught in MY environment). BTW some women don't care because they cheat too and how they get $7500.00 a month for their "kids" with 15 last names. I am embarrassed LeBron James is from my home town. He was an ass in HS also

LeBron has dealt with massive weight of stardom even in high school. I think he’s handled it much better than most. He has done so much for so many. Pretty stand up roll model for kids. Smart and a business tycoon. Many guys can’t handle half of what he did at 24 becoming a pro. He did it at 15.

I'm glad we have Scott lol. May be time to draft a decent round RB next year if the Hurts experiment works

Dude, how long you been watching football? Minor hamstring tweak. A reason to not expose him in meaningless PS games. Let’s wait to judge on the actual games and season. I feel no need for Sanders to do anything in a PS game. He needs to be at 100 percent to start the season. Huge part of our season relies on him. A guy that has very low milage at the end of his rookie contract at RB. We need him to answer the bell this year. Show consistent ability and durability. I think he will. But gotta see it actually happen. I’m optimistic. Also think he’s another tier from anything else we would put back there. He possess some very special ability. This is his year!

Contract details. Injury guarantees are fairly common. But I’m not sure how they actuallynegotiate an injury release settlement.

One simple obvious point to me is Tiger is kind of a stuck up Primma Donna dick. Mike Vick is a really nice good guy. I’m not ever going to excuse hurting animals. But understand the neighborhood and culture Vick grew up in. And let’s face it he put his own body and life on the line as a gladiator in the NFL. Think it desensitizes some of these guys just a bit.

With Mike Vick you have a very easy comparison….his brother. Total jerk did that could care less about anybody.

Agreed no need for anything preseason... in a game. But I feel the same for every player.   The practices are what the coaches should be looking at.

I don't see anything special in Sanders... he runs through a wide open hole pretty well.   It's great that we are in a prove it year... both RB and QB positions definitely have enough around them that the external excuses aren't there...it's great for an organization to be in a prove it or move on position, the limbo is what hurts teams...ask Dallas, they have been stuck there for a while with there group.  The way they handle their contracts only has made it worse.   We have nothing invested in Hurts and Sanders, can easily move on if needed.

True... with Tiger you have to look at his upbringing as well.  Probably why you feel about him the way you do.   He was brought up all about playing an individual sport. Different mindset than a team sport where you have to be part of a group.

I totally disagree. He’s the one back that can bring something special.

Dallas is stuck because they continue to hire low end Head Coaching.

What is the special?   Ability to carry the ball like a workhorse and stay healthy?  Blocking?  Hands?  Route running?  Short yardage abilities?  Creates his own holes when nothing is there?    Which of these are things he does that makes him "special"  ??

Dallas is all in on players they shouldn't be all in with...   they overpaid those players and haven't been able to add any quality free agents in a while.   You should see the importance of that since for only 1 year the Eagles didn't sign free agents and you keep harping on it worse than you did drafting Lane instead of Ziggy Anzah.

He was a jerk in HS and he's a jerk now. Wealthy people get passes, but not from me. Done with this topic, back to football

Most people were considering the cowboys as elite and one of the top contending teams last year. They were crushing people early looking dominant. They’ve had a much better team than their results the last few years.

Dallas always gets hyped more than they should...every win means they are SB contenders.  Schedule matters.  They are overrated,  this group from the last few years.   All in on the wrong players.

Matt Corral out for season.

I didn’t realize the Giants picked up Tyrod Taylor. He should be their starter. He obviously doesn’t have much of any future career. I don’t see Jones as the answer though….so they could switch pretty early. Tyrod is a solid QB. Lefty(I think) that’s very mobile.

Williams fined 10 grand for dirty hit on Hurts. Pretty weak fine in my eyes.

Derwin James signed for 19 mil a season. S market sure has changed. Missed out on the Saints S this FA. Looking like a great deal after these new contracts.

Really seems like we have a really good group of guys on this team. A bunch of strong character guys. They seem to have fun with each other while being competitive and working. Really makes the job much better.

Big play of joint practices was Hurts rolling left and hitting AJ. Many have questioned his ability in this area.
