WR's are a rather "prima donna" group as a whole. They want their stat lines,so yes it matters or you start to breed discord in the WR room and I would like to try and avoid that. yes certain games are better suited to certain WR's you have,no avoiding that either, but Quez with no looks at all?  Smith 4 targets,6-7 would be better IMO and Goedert is a weapon. Can't be the Hurts panic run/AJ Brown show or you will start to hears grumbling because stats are what get these players bigger money down the road. As I said 1 game, not in panic mode but it will be something to look for the next 2-3 weeks. Siri does seems aware of this so let's see what he does as a coach. He even said he doesn't want to be 1 dimensional

Yes...I agree over a long period.   But you want everything game 1.   It's just one game.  Can we take the win and move on.  Nothing is a trend yet, it's one game, one matchup on one day.

All 3 RBs scored a TD... team got 38 points.   Can't have everything in one game.

Agreed. This D is much better that the Lions. They are good at taking away TE's which is the "out" for Hurts. Vikes will test every facet of our defense and I hope Gannon has some answers after last week. Davis looked mosly good when he was in and lets remember he is new to the NFL,but he played well his first time. He's QUICK for a HUGE man and that could be key to slowing down Cook or at least altering where they run him

Idk where you see the TE as the " out " for Hurts?    Not in this offense.

Same show w/ Baldy covered Minn as well. Jefferson was WIDE open, I mean nobody within 10 yds of the guy. Have no idea what the D was doing. We have advantages of a better D in coverage ( if they learn how to tackle! ) and some game tape.

IDK that our D is better in  pass defense because Detroit ran most of the time, but we're gonna find out Monday lol

Joe I SAID repeatedly "its only 1 game" lol. I said it was something I will WATCH GOING forward

Well he will be when we run across a defense that blankets the WR's and his 1 read is gone

Like Detroit?

We saw 1 week of football. We do not KNOW that Minnesota has a better D than Detroit. We do not know that they can cover TE's at all after one week. I do feel we need to do a better job stopping the Pass and tackling. I do hope Gannon does a better job preparing the team.

I heard HR is in the Room when the coaches build up a strategy for the game. Not sure if he has any say on this game plan or if Lurie just wants him to keep an eye on Gannon. But I do find this a bit disturbing. No GM ever goes to the Game Plan meetings.....

Last year the Vikings gave up more yards per game than Detroit. Minnesota was the 5th worse Defense against the pass last year. You really think they magically improved that much?

https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-defense-rankings-tiers-2021 Going by last years finishes and the fact not alot changed in a major way,(Detroit gained some ground I'm sure) it's safe to ASSUME the VIkes D is better than Detroits,so that was my assumption.

https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/team-stats?season=2021&category=defense     51 sacks vs 30 for Detroit,thats a big difference right there

Minnesota limited the Packers’ offense to just seven points in Week 1. The Vikings’ defense ended the game with four sacks, one interception, and one fumble recovery.

Apart from a blown coverage on Green Bay’s first offensive play of the game that saw rookie wideout Christian Watson drop a probable touchdown reception, Minnesota’s secondary had a solid game.

The Vikings also held the Packers to 3-for-9 on third down and 0-for-2 on fourth down in their Week 1 matchup. When it mattered most against Green Bay,

So if the Detroit D is better how on earth did they allow us 38 points? Just saying. Actually they "only" allowed 32 due to 1 score being the pick 6,so in my view the Vikes D will be tougher than Detroits. So you are allowed any opinion you wish.MY opinion is the VIkes D is better than Detroits

Well, that may very will be true. But how much better? Detroit added three players from NE and drafted Hutchinson. Those 4 alone should help big time.....

Minnesota got a huge break playing GB the First week That first play from Rodgers that Watson let go thru his fingers was a huge play. If he catches that and scores, it changes the whole direction of the game.

Well, I watched the whole game. If you really think the outcome would have been the same had Watson not dropped that easy score, you are mistaken. The bottom Line was the rookies dropped a bunch of passes. They did not know what to do when Aaron started to scramble, so he just took sacks. I saw these rookies just standing in one spot. All of this plus Aaron did not take the time to work with these new players, which was a huge mistake. GB was missing both starting Tackles and had to replace a Guard in the first half. There was so much going for Minnesota that game. Add that to the fact GB always seems to start off terrible each year and you get that result.

Anyway, Let's see what happens and go from there....

Yes I said above I believe Detroit closed the gap some. I have no idea what would have happened.I can only go off what DID happen. And you know Arod is not a quitter, still they held them to 7 points. I'm sure he misses Devante and I believe Laz was also out if I recall,so yeah Arod had a rough day

IDK I would have to see a GB Detroit game to gain real aspects. But the VIkes looked solid and ready to play and I'm sure they will be ready at the Linc. So if the Vikes are no better we should expect another 38 point outing and I don't see it

I'm going 35-30 Vikes*anhd I have no clue what the vegas line is,just guessing on my own lol)

Well, I fully expect to see over 60 total points scored Monday Night

OK, so that says you are not that sold on their defense either.....

I think our O can be nearly as good as theirs and I expect alof of offensive fireworks. Arod is not a running QB and the Vikes will have to cope with that aspect from Hurts,so I think it will be a tight game,we COULD win it

I am in a football pool where you pick every game. Pot was $1560.00 last week. Anyway, my tiebreaker for Monday night was 65 total points!  funny....

I think our offense can play as well as anyone's. I believe their O is a bit better. Their D is very solid and for me how our D plays will be the game difference. if you can play well we could win this, but we can't give up 35 like we did in Detroit yet I am assuming that we will unless we really have made some changes from last week.(I am also assuming the VIkes O is better than Detroits was)

There's too much talent on thet D to play as poorly as they did

35-30 (my prediction) would give you exactly that lol

There was an article posted about that, that Gannon needs to get his act together. We know week 1 is not a barometer, but you see your weaknesses and what needs tweaked on the field for the first time. We have alot of talent, now it's on Gannon to put it together. I didn't see alot of "tweaking" needed from the Vikes

I'm also wondering if the Vikes play Reagor this week(lol) They would have JJ,Thielen and Reagor
