You said you want to pay Sanders 8 mil?  That's top ten pay...for a guy in committee, that's not a good investment

The exact money is tough. 8 mil is the high end of pay in my mind. Only half of MCaffrey money though.

Hard for me to fathom McDaniels would be a downgrade

Sanders the only guy that brings anything special. He has unprecedented low milage at his position. Think I started at 6 mil but climbed to 8. Starters making 20 mil now at many positions. Cox entering the twilight of his career. Still see him getting like 15 mil. So I’m just looking at the big picture. What guys can we keep around? Epps….should be affordable. Feel good to pay a homegrown talent also. Underdog that’s earned his position in the league. Big time S are getting 20 mil now though. Epps hasn’t made much in his career so far though. So 5 mil over four years for him, maybe? Edwards is the one that will hurt Rosie. We all know he doesn’t want to pay a LB big money. Guy is the leader of our D. Homegrown as well. I wouldn’t pay near 20 mil per for him. But still won’t be cheap. Sanders is affordable-ish….I’m thinking. I can see how you(No Mas) point towards a huge dropoff in pay at RB from the mega contracts to just falling off a cliff in pay to Ekeler. Not paying Sanders the high end Zeke/McCaffrey loot. Not even a question. But can’t see him signing for total peanuts either. Overpaying a RB is still a cheap option is kind of my point. We can only sign guys long term based on our cap situation. Signing Sanders for four years is very much an option I believe.

IDK what they do. Sanders said basically this was the year he would "show them" Last year zero TD's, this year 6 so far(meh). Never had a 1,000 yard season. So what do you do? If Hurts hogs the snaps is Sanders worth 8 million? I mean for under 1k yards?. Scott has 84 yards TOTAL(all year),so you going to pay him also? This is the issue with Hurts hogging running the ball, you have no clue what your RB's are worth. With Hurts it makes it quite difficult to predict your RB's worth, that is a downside of Hurts running the ball(not a bash just FACTS). So now what do you do? Overpay like you said? Is that wise? How much do you overpay??? That is a "cheap option?" If you base it on production, he's not worth 8 million and if you base it on future production you are a fool. So it will be interesting to see how they handle this. Maybe they let both walk and take a RB in round 1? I can't say right now, for me the jury is out at RB and I can't predict a thing. If this is Sanders "prove it year" he's not cutting it to get a big contract,IN MY OPINION. Although I DO believe he will hit 1,000 this year, which confuses things even more(is that Sanders or the O line???)

JJ is SOOOO smooth,he can kill you from anywhere on the field

Hardly Lane

He is a terrible HC. You said it yourself. Carr was fantastic last year. This year added the best WR in the land and fell off a cliff. The answer is obvious to me.

McDaniels they talk about his ways. Not good for a HC. Great as an OC under Bellicheat

Smart…maybe even near genius level with the x and o of the game.

Who is Lane?

But you can trade up in the first round and draft a guy….but he might be Dillard…or worse.

I don’t care if Hurts "hogs” the TDs. Just score. Think last year we had anew staff come in. They picked Gainwell.

  • Author

Don’t think they were that high on Sanders. Don’t think they had a clue who Scott was. So they pulled Sanders for Gainwell in the Redzone.

  • Author

Siri plan was Gainwell take over. They were pushing him right off the bat in many key situations. But he’s gone totally backwards since. Getting less time than Scott even now. So I’d say they’ve admitted their mistake.

But Sanders got injured

Sanders hasn’t done it yet

  • Author

Scott and Gainwell don’t bring anything special. They just tough runners that take what’s given.

  • Author

Sanders is a much different level athlete. He has serious big time burst. He really beefed up also. Running hard this year. Not playing around in the backfield either. Going forward

  • Author

8 mil might be too high. I was stretching it too that number making a point. But the point being is his position is cheap if he isn’t paid like the elite guys. So overpaying the cheapest position might not be a bad move. Don’t want to have holes everywhere.

  • Author

Cap money is tight. So any retained guys need to be like four year contracts. Rosie Special! So he canbackload everything. Won’t really pay for him until he’s not even here anymore.

  • Author

Seumalo is another pending FA. Want to keep him. He’s a starter for a reason. But struggle to say he’s worth 9 mil or something per.

  • Author

We hired Marcus Brady. OC with the Colts. Was QB coach when Siri was there.

Got Fangio in here also.

  • Author

Feels like we are already setting things up for next season. Both coordinators are said to be hotcommodities.

Fangio becomes DC. Marcus Brady won’t be our OC. Think maybe QB coach or something.

  • Author

Possibly Reich as OC. Which would make plenty of sense to bring Brady in.

  • Author

Said Brady is being that offensive mind to assist Gannon by saying how he’s attack him

  • Author

With Sanders….just think there is a huge gap between what he’s capable of doing and the other RBs we have.

  • Author

Josh Allen really been screwing up lately. But that was such a huge throw today.

Why the Lions didn’t kill the clock is beyond me

  • Author

Allen never should had the chance. Campbell just not a real coach

  • Author

Hurts is fourth in passer rating

Just found that interesting for  a running QB.

  • Author

Our team yards per carry seems pretty low

4.3

Have 26 sacks also
