@cunninghamthemanNo, I don't think the team will be better next year. But they may surprise us too. That's the fun of football for me. The surprises and what not. I definitely won't be happy if they lose tomorrow. But I'm also not worried about it much. I'm just enjoying one of the best Eagles' teams I've ever witnessed.

How do you get to the SB if you are scared of your own shadow?. OMG AJ could stub his toe,a lineman has a hangnail and it threw his timing off. You want every player under a microscope every game because that amount of worry is what it would require. Lane is back, do you play him and risk injury???? Just an unbelievable amount of whining. Let the warriors play the game they get paid(big money) to play for OUR entertainment. They all understood the risks, or they wold have chosen the PGA

No Lane didn’t play. Saved him for the playoffs. Wise move I agree with.

WR's are not crucial? Linemen aren't either? Does every team have top rated players at all positions or it just us that are lacking? Let's trade AJ away for that starting Dime package. Teams have to make CHOICES,so does EVERY team. I will be enjoying the game and hope we win. There will be no perfection from either team. It doesn't exist. Oh well, I am going to be OPTIMISTIC about our chances, you do whatever you do,but with less than 2 days to go,the last thing I need is Debbie Downer. The Gnats should be MUCH MORE worried about us,not the other way around

We chose to give that pick away for future picks. That was our choice. I thought we should have taken a S. Starting Dime. Backup three DB spots. Two S we have are pending FA. But now you think bringing in a rookie to learn around quality vets is bad? But we had the pick to take him with. We chose that we didn’t need it.

Losing to the giants would be the worst!

Goedert hasn't played the Giants yet either.

Nothing worse than Tampa 2003.

Yeah...in April a rookie S would look great..  now CGJ looks better.   Lucky but worked.

In addition we have the 10th pick plus another 2nd rounder.. plus we're able to keep pick 89 used for Dean... if he ever pans out.

Better for 2022... and future.

Idk why we keep talking about it.  I don't think anyone disagrees Howie got lucky with CGJ.

Unless you would prefer to trade CGJ, Dean and the 2 high Saints picks back for the rookie S now... what's the point.  Just for the world to acknowledge Howie got lucky?    You can have that check .. for me, it's not the only time I think he got lucky.

I mean do you play him Saturday?

I'll take a 3 for 1 deal whenever it presents itself, more picks=more players to look at

We dominated the line first meeting...  I'm not worried about that.     I'm thinking things that can go wrong.    It's if Gannon plays soft...and gives Jones easy throws.  They keep the ball more than needed.

And if they decide to push Hurts left while taking away the run.

Talent wise , I like all the matchups.. maybe a stalemate on the interior with our OL vs their DL.

I believe we are the only team with 3 pro bowl DBs

point being every position can be "crucial" if you don't have any LOL. The LOS is crucial, but we never mention that. IDK that any spot at the pro level is NOT crucial?

Was Davis in those games? I don't keep track of that stuff. Davis had 8 QB pressures in the little amount he played,so to label him merely as a 'run stuffer" is fallacy Wondering if Suh or the other guy stays on cheap as a BU next year since we only have 4 draft picks(so far)

So would every other GM.  And at the time there were still " tons of holes"  this was prior to trading for AJ,  Bradley, CGJ..etc.  Still needed depth at DT too.

And let's use hindsight.. no way any GM would turn down the trade now.  Especially if S was the issue...CGJ is a beast. No way any rookie is better at the moment.

I am hoping to see a little more BRUTAL pass rush this time around

SF is the only NFC team that I think would beat the Eagles now.  The reason is their lines.

Even without getting CJG I make that trade

Idk... the talk on the radio was how our DL was killing them in the first matchup.

I read that is their game plan(trolling their site LOL) to keep Hurts off the field. We need those 3rd down stops, can't let them keep converting

Then Jones won't have the time to throw, that's what I hope happens

Me too...but Ham I'd trying to just look at this year... so CGJ is the better option...that should end the discussion right there.

Only thing is if Ham just wants to keep pointing out Howie was lucky.  Which I agree.   On this board every poster has ripped Howie.   I'm being fair when I see him do a good job,I need to say it...this way when I criticize its more legit.

He gave Doug and Wentz a brutal hand in 2020...after the 2 of them won the division with crap in 2019.   I don't like that he is still here and they are gone.  But it happened.   He is here.  And when I see the moves next year...I'll comment on them without bias.  We can like moves and dislike others from the same guy.

30. New York Giants (40/100)

The Giants, who were 14th in pass DVOA last season, moved on from safety Logan Ryan and cornerback James Bradberry in part as cost-cutting measures. But it didn’t make them better this year.

Adoree’ Jackson was 17th in PFF’s grades of cornerbacks, while Xavier McKinney was tied for 14th among safeties. But no starter still on the team was better than 69th at their respective positions.

DBs are important... I'll take ours.

Oh I did my share of Howie bashing LOL. My jaw dropped open with the Reagor pick,I was so PO'd I can't describe it. but Like you there was a turnaround.great job the last 2 years

Yeah if we give Hurts time we can destroy them deep. I want Hurts to take some shots. Not RISK shots, overthrow if you have to,but take the shots. I'd like to see this early if possible. This is a great game for Smith to blast open in the middle of the field. Quez should be a sneaky weapon, they can't cover them all

I know... I've seen all of us want Howie fired at some point.

Idk... I guess for Ham once he is against you that's it?   It is what it is.  But in reality.. all 3 of AJ , Bradberry and CGJ had luck involved.

That's why I would call BS on anyone saying at the time of the Saints trade the Eagles were all in.   Still I can see the point of keeping a pick for the current year...it's valid.   I just can’t see any GM passing on that deal.. at that time.

I expect Goedert and Scott to play key roles in the offense.
