Don't think that message needed to be relayed.

I think Ham was just trying to point out that the defense hasn't been drafted as well over the years and has more free agents or trades..  didn't seem either positive or negative,  kinda just fact.

Just that most of our O came from drafting, which is nice to see

Yes, we absolutely drafted more offense recently.

If we look at the recent drafts

2015, first selection = offense

2016, first 4 sections = offense

2018, first selection = offense

2019, first 3 selections = offense

2020, first 2 selections = offense

2021, first 2 selections = offense.

Out of this group... 3 of the 1st round picks aren't on the roster and Dillard doesn't start.

The last 3 picks in this group... Hurts, Dickerson and Smith.

The first 10 of this group... Seamulo, Goedert and Sanders start.  3 for 3 is great... 3 for 10... ehh.

Meanwhile, the defense can't look similar because it just wasn't invested as heavily in these recent years... except for this year ( too early to tell) and 2017... with Barnett hurt and Jones and Douglass no longer here.

The best results since drafting Cox in 2012... is Maddox and Sweat.

That's a decade with 2 contributions from the draft!

As much as people want to spin it to make it look like great drafting... the fact remains that the moves of Hargrave, Slay, CGJ, Bradberry and AJ are what has really catapulted this roster to the upper echelon.

So drafting Hurts,Smith,Quez,Dickerson,Gainwell, Mailata had no bearing for us rising to the top? AJ was the only one we had to FA? Noone even mentioned the defense (except Ham who just had to spoil an interesting post rather than say it was interesting). Can we take an interesting post and just allow it to be interesting???

He was showing that the drafted players STUCK and we didn't have to go out and FA the entire offense. I thought that was interesting, but once again the point was lost or bashed. Now if you'd like to discuss the defense,we can, but that is a different subject

Relax.   This thing was on Facebook for a week.  Nobody is trying to spoil any post... it's not interesting looking at how much was invested in the offense?  And you just mentioned even more guys.  That's interesting how much has been invested in the offense..via draft over the recent years.

1 + 1 = 2.    Saying 2 + 2 = 4 doesn't spoil it.  Two different things.  Looks like you are just looking for argument.  Maybe this is an effect of the Chinese balloon?

Interesting... last year we had all 11 offensive starters via draft.    Same with 2020.  Probably just not as interesting when the team isn't getting results?

Yep you're right, 2 different things. He mentioned the offense, the defense is a different thing,so who is the one arguing?

I didn't feel he was arguing.  Just talking about the team.   They invested way more in offense.  Doesn't mean we need to give all our defense studs back...lol

He was comparing that our offense was mostly drafted by us and theirs was not

Hurts has 39 pass/Rush TD's in a season(including playoffs). He can break McNabbs record(41) in the SB

The NFL docked Eagles defensive lineman Brandon Graham $13,261 for unsportsmanlike conduct, NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com reports. Officials did not penalize Graham during the game last Sunday.

The recent announcement that the NFL will be taking a closer look into "hip-drop" tackles did not go over well with many of the league's defensive players.

The NFL is doing its best to kill the goose that laid the golden egg

Sure we’ll just paint the picture all roses in our favor instead of the truth. Gotcha! That’s how this place works. Spin everything in favor of the Eagles.

Yes, but I'm focused on the SB win for now along with positivity. Worry about next season after the W.

I didn’t say anything about next season in what you quoted.

Then if you broke down KC acquiring  their D it would look less favorable.

Sue them, how can you dock a player who was not called for an infraction? 'OH "I'm fining you now because I didn't like your shoe lace color" in the 2021 game

Right, refs will now have to be physicians, psychics and body language experts as well as be experienced enough to know "how much hip drop is too much?" If you don't wasn't the risks if football hit the PGA tour
