That's the original idea... but the longer these players remain unsigned...the cheaper they should be.

Rumors about clauses in a couple players contracts that they auto restructure if they are on the roster next week.   I think Sweat and Reddick.    Who knows...that's why I said it's al a mystery.   I mean,a kicker restructuring his deal doesn't open up all that cap space...lol.

Oh it's either he isn't getting what he wants...  or there is a wait and see deal.  It's just odd.

I don't think he is getting what he wants, thus the "disrespect" tweet

However S is very weak this draft year, and while this may not bear on salaries, any teams looking for a fill/fix will need due diligence because you aren't getting one in the draft. Could cause an overpay which I suspect he is waiting for

https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/positions/S/1/2023 Draftbuzz has him at 34. maybe the OT has to wait? IDK

A thief and a hitter. I love it.

Sirianni explains why Eagles never used the Fletcher Cox sneak - NBCSP
There’s at least one version of the Eagles’ quarterback sneak we never got to see in 2022. And it included Fletcher Cox. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni hinted at the Combine that a version of the play that included Cox existed. [...] Sirianni said the Cox version of the QB sneak was on their minds throughout the regular season but they never ran it and then it wasn’t a priority in the playoffs. But Cox would always make sure it was in that week’s game plan, according to Sirianni. "I think on the Super Bowl, I just lied to him,” Sirianni joked. “‘Yeah, it’s in. It’s in. We’re good.’” The Eagles were great at the QB sneaks last season but they were more proud of the wrinkles they ran off of it. And now that Cox is back for the 2023 season, don’t rule out this version of the sneak just yet.

@cunninghamtheman Hey Ham, your boy is in the XFL. Speedbump Milller

Former Eagles playing in the XFL

With the XFL in-season through April, several Philly alumni are currently on rosters — and could find their way back to the NFL after the draft.

  • Arlington Renegades (De’Vante Bausby, Bruce Hector, Adrian Killins)
  • St. Louis BattleHawks (Lavert Hill, Nate Meadors)
  • D.C. Defenders (Josh Hammond)
