I mean this is the worry, I don't expect a lot from this year beyond better player development so we can have some good young pieces going forward and just playing more entertaining football than last year, honestly if they do have a Big Red 2012 to Chipper 2013 style record flip that will be a very pleasant surprise. 

However, the constant stories about Howie sniffing round Watson makes me think the Front Office isn't in the same place I am and thinks we're almost there.

Considering the team is likely headed towards a top 5 pick this year.....there's a lot more to be critical of than to be optimistic about. And generally speaking, I'm one of the most optimistic guys in here. I certainly have hopes that we won't be as bad as it appears we will be....but I can understand why people are criticizing some players so far.

It's a sign of youthful ignorance .  But most of us long time regulars have seen players come and go.  Coaches come and go.  The amount of players that have been on this team that people got excited about in the pre-season or draft night, that have not panned out, is a long one.  When I am excited about a player or the direction, you all would know.  Amazing how accurate my negative opinions have been the last 3 years.

Thankfully this isn't true. Plenty of posts and polls see optimistic fans in the majority by now. But I was pretty surprised by that too.
