What's there to be hesitant about? If you have more than a grade 5 education it's a no brainer.

Yes sir.  With my wife working in healthcare, family friends in healthcare, and family and friends we know are vaccinated, we did a count of people that we know that are vaccinated, and came up with about 650.  I am sure it is way higher than that.  I do not know 1 person that has had anything more than a sore arm and a little nausea from the vaccine.  My 17 yo daughter and all of her friends are vaccinated.  No issues at all.

Well at least Howie isn't trading Ertz plus 2 draft picks to another team for NOTHING a la Gostisbehere.

If he wants to trade him, it may come to adding a pick yet.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I know but hard to call that a trade.

Why ???? After the NFL announcement about game forfeiture it is very relevant.

What the NFL has announced has nothing to do with player's motives for not getting a vaccine. I haven't ever heard of anyone saying "Im selfish" as their reason for not getting a vaccine. They all have their reasons which they believe to be legitimate. Mostly it seems unvaccinated people are passing on the vaccine for fear for their personal safety (right or wrong). And mostly they are wrong. But its also wrong to act as though someone with a different thought process, opinion, or lack of education, logical thinking and lack of sound decision making abilities are any worse of a person with negative personality traits.

NFL players have access to top health care, and the top people in those fields to give them the information.  The vaccine is safe, and they have the best in the world telling them that.  If they cost their team a game, they are being selfish.

There are social determinants of health. You cant take someone from a certain background, they get drafted and suddenly have a ton of money and just change everything about the experiences that shaped their moral compass. The sudden money and access doesnt necessarily change the ingrained social determinants of health for many of these players.

Its a really tough thing to get through to people. And doing things like calling them selfish is counter-productive in that regard.

In other unvaccinated news John McClain who has broken Texans news before is saying Deshaun Watson will not be Texans starting QB this season.

Take it for what it’s worth.

He’s said it for months.

I had to read the story from 2 sources because I thought the first one left out the compensation.  Brutal.

At least when Hextall traded a decent player for a horrible player it was laughable; the last two Fletcher trades are just sad.

I think Washington takes the division

Also I think Chargers surprise with winning their division

Don’t see 49ers winning the division

I think Bears do better than 3rd

Saints at the bottom

I was incredulous -- then I realized it's hardly any worse than last season.

WAS wins the NFCE unless Fitzpatrick specializes in turnovers.

Ravens and Colts win their divisions in the AFC.

SF will win the NFCW even with Jimmy G.

Yep.  I checked quite a few to see if it was a typo and they meant that Ghost brought back a 2nd and 7th but nope.  I get it, salary dump...BUT a salary dump plus 2 draft picks for not a thing in return...ooof.

I'll tell you what though.  For as big a liability as Ghost has become, that stretch of games his rookie year were some of the most exciting Flyers games I've ever watched.  Ghost was must watch TV on the PP.

But, your organization is accepting the legal risk. In my opinion, the NFL is trying to pass the buck down to the teams, so that the teams are held accountable instead of the NFL .  The NFL should be the one to create the policy instead of trying to punish teams for not being able to control something it can't control.  So, either the NFL needs to have a required vaccinaton policy or it needs to not have it and continue to promote vaccine education and not punish teams (and also fans) for players not getting vaccinated.  I just feel that the NFL's stance on this now is the wrong one to take.  There are players who are not bubble guys that are not vaccinated.  So, it will be interesting to see if a team gambles and cuts one of those guys and the fallout from it with the NFLPA and elsewhere.  The NFL should be talking to the NFLPA to try to come up with ways to encourage it. And, if the NFL decides to do a required vaccine policy, then it needs to just do it and accept whatever happens legally.

Are they? I got the vaccine when it was optional so I really have no idea.

I’m sure my work’s legal counsel had a big say in whether the organization could do it. It’s been standard for the flu shot for years, but I don’t know if anyone who ever sued them because of complications from the shot.

They shouldn't even be allowed on an aircraft if they're not vaccinated.  Indoors, limited space, minimal air circulation, prolonged exposure during flights that last hours -- if the NFL was strictly following health guidelines they wouldn't be permitted to travel with the team.

The way I look at it is I'm vaccinated. If a bunch of idiots want to fly without masks and without being vaccinated. It's their funeral.

The Eagles have their issues, specifically linebacker, CB and QB performance is an unknown.  But, to say that we are on par with the Lions and Texans is ridiculous.  The Eagles' OL and DL figure to keep them in most games and I expect our offense to be quite a bit better this year.    Our CBs will cost us quite a few games though. I can't see us winning less than 5 games, even with our secondary issues. I think we most likley win between 6 and 9 games.  I also think Arizona is better than a 7 win team.  It's a tough division, but they should win at least 9.  I think the 49ers hype is a little much when they have QB questions.

They got the original report wrong on the ghost. Sam cardichi said they were getting those picks. He was wrong. Flyers giving up two picks to just unload that contract is hard pill to swallow. That said the guy who gave ghost that contract along with JVR and voracek’s contracts is also not here. So basically we are cleaning up some messes not created by Fletcher. Even though Fletcher imo isn’t that great either.

The vaccine is great, but it isn’t perfect. It could still be your funeral too, which is why it’s important for everyone to get vaccinated.

Then play professional football elsewhere.

And what games are those.  You have to not just look at individual games, but the flow of the season.  Sure, Carolina and Detroit seem easy, but then look at the schedule.

The second 4 games the Eagles play, 3 are on the road.

Week 4 @ Carolina.  Looks easy, but looming the following Thursday night is Brady and the Bucs, Eagles could very easily get caught looking ahead.

Week 5, Thursday vs TB, loss.

Week 6, @ Las Vegas, 10 days to get ready, but possibly coming off 4 straight losses ( DAL, KC, CAR, TB ) how will a team with a new coach react.

Week 7, @ Detroit, 3rd road game in 4 weeks.  Hard to win on the road in the NFL, and 5 of the first 8 are on the road, and the 3 home games, SF, KC, TB.

This team could very easily be 1-7

Isn’t nearly all of the Covid cases requiring hospitalization from those unvaccinated? I wonder how many took the J&J single dose.

I am sure glad I took Moderna.  I would say 75% of the vaccinated people I know took Moderna.  You just don't hear anything about it, which is a good thing.

What if an outbreak occurs amongst vaccinated players on the team?  Is the game rescheduled or it isn't counted as a loss?

I have two issues with your argument. First, you are still at risk since the vaccines are not 100% effective. Second, the unvaccinated are harboring a large reservoir of virus. This greatly increases the probability that a new strain will evolve that is resistant to the vaccines .

Yeah, it’s something 97 percent of hospitalizations are from unvaccinated people.
