Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I could go back to Caulkfan.

The thing is, there are repercussions to doing "whatever he wants.”

Is there? Who knows maybe nothing happens. Unless you predicting the future.

I don't have a problem with the NFL essentially indirectly mandating it by making it heavily incentivized. Players have a right to not participate if they want. But the NFL is a business and if there's an outbreak, they are going to have to suspend play, and the NFL has every right to protect its bottom line. And players have a right to stay home if unvaccinated if they truly don't want to get the shots. I think it's a pretty fair system.

Where in the world do "rights" give you the go ahead to do whatever you want?

It's truly this simple.

@ManuManu Are the players getting a lot of negative responses after posting the about the the new rules from the league? I don't have twitter and curious what you're seeing from fans

Hopkins is the biggest name I've seen posted here that's not happy. Cole Beasley is getting made fun of

No. Because if know who is vaccinated, then we would also know who wasn't based on the process of elimination.  So, they will keep it private.

The NFL says the unvaccinated need to be identified and suggested wristbands. I think there will be four colors. For unvaccinated tier one and tier two and vaccinated tier one and two. And three colors for the press, one for vaccinated, one for unvaccinated and one for jackasses. (Apologies to @justrelax)

F Ertz. Howie is doing exactly what he should. Howie represents the team, not some spoiled Fing player that didn't even play hard last year because his widdle feewings were hurtz. Ertz shows up, plays and get's paid a lot of money. He can dry his tears on 100 dollar bills.

Is he going to show up and play though, or is he going to show up and be a disgruntled distraction

If he's playing for a new contract, how much is he going to be able to increase his stock as a back up TE to Goedert??

Or are we going to see more of Howie dictating playing time to justify his horrible financial decisions like he did with Jeffrey???

Like I said the reasons to cut him out weigh the reasons to keep him for the eagles and Ertz

I'm not a big fan of Ertz behavior last year either, he punked out and Howie should have traded him when he value and not doing so was Howie's mistake no reason to hold onto that mistake just to make some stupid point

Hopkins is getting crushed on Twitter, probably why he deleted the tweet.

I have only skimmed through the replies. I think it’s far more negative than positive, hence Fournette and Hopkins deleting their tweets. Feliciano got skewered too.

You can bet that Buzbee got word out in the massage therapist world to drum up clients. That fits his MO.  Do you have any idea of how many personal injury attorneys there are in the Houston area, yet conveniently all 22 sought out Buzbee.  Seems unlikely unless……………

There is a much greater likelihood of a civil verdict, where only punitive damages have the same burden of proof as criminal trial.  The majority of claims settle and claims get paid all the time where there really is no liability on the part of the defendant.  Insurers, companies and wealthy individuals many times prefer the sureness of a paid settlement over the possibility of a jury getting it wrong. Similar to putting innocent people in jail on plea bargains, especially those with limited resources.

As best as I can tell, only one has filed a police report and to date no charges have been filed. I would not use "victims” as it presumes guilt or civil liability, neither of which has been proven yet and kind of goes against innocent until proven guilty.  I believe the words you are looking for are accuser, in the case of the woman who filed a police report, and plaintiff for the 22 people who have filed civil lawsuits (it was more but I believe one withdrew her complaint when Rusty started firing back.)

Doubt it ever sees the light of day and the NFL drags their decision on like with Elliot and Brown.

If I'm a prosecutor they're victims the defense will call them accusers.

Me being neither I tend to side with the accusers as too many times sexual assaults arent even ever brought to the light of day as victims feel they won't be believed or worse will be blamed.l or dragged through the media

Like I said I'm not a lawyer or a judge or a juror so I'm not held to the same standards of a court of law of innocent til proven guilty

So I will refer to them as victims until it's otherwise proven they are not. I'll give the victims the benefit of the doubt until they've proven I shouldn't.

I don’t think Ertz will be a distraction. Guy is a class act.

That’s news to me. I don’t recall him being a distraction. I recall him having a down year, but he did nothing to distract the team from their goals.

Class act that didn't put in effort because he wanted top dollar contract?

My best friend works with me. We have been friends for 15 years. I chose to get vaccinated. He refuses. He works out every day, I don’t. I have 3 kids, he has none. He doesn’t want it to hurt his chance of having kids. He says he is healthy and it’s not worth the chance. I respect all of that. It’s his decision. However, work makes him wear a mask and he complains every day. We don’t complain he isn’t vaccinated.  You can’t have it both ways at this point when it comes to work. It’s the same with the NFL. You make your choice, don’t complain about your choice if you still want to be employed. That would be like me complaining I’m gaining weight and he isn’t. I choose not to work out, he does.

Ertz said himself he was a distraction...

What rights???

If I worked at jacks chicken shack and my boss said I need to get vaccinated to work there and if not I'm fired jack would be well within his rights.

The NFL is a private business Hopkins is an employee he can follow the rules or pay the consequences.

If he said he wanted to do steroids and the NFL said you'll get suspended

Would you say, use your rights to do whatever???

How do we know he didn’t put in effort. He had a bad year it doesn’t mean he didn’t try hard. Was he not working hard at practices? Was he not paying attention during film study? Did he sit out games when healthy during the season because he didn’t feel like playing?

I think people like to project with no factual basis for that, and I saw nothing that said Ertz wasn’t trying hard. It was a terrible year, no one on the offense really played all that well.

Sometimes it's not as obvious as doing sit ups in ones driveway😉
