Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Having 319 diamonds being able to be removable so easily is a weird flex

Maybe it doubles as a secret decoder ring?

Belichick is probably taking notes already and will be sending COVID+ hookers to the hotel rooms of unvaccinated divisional players.

Kraft might fall for it, too though.

Oh gawd . Let it go. See "some" of the faithful still to this day believe that backing McNabb on that silly passive aggressive hill to die on was the right move.

Nonsense. Should've let TO wear a wig and visit North Korea if he wanted to, as long as they kept making the SuperBowl.

I agree.

So Watson and any other accused of sexual assault is guilty until proven innocent for you.  Got it.  F’ the basis of our common law.  I would never seat a person on a criminal or civil jury that reduces burden of proof to the defendant.  It’s just wrong in my view.

As stated I'm not a jury, if I were my stance would be different.

As someone who was sexually assaulted as a child and wasn't believed I tend to believe people when they say they were sexually assaulted until Im given evidence to the contrary.

You want to call them accusers go for it, this isn't a court of law and as such I will refer to them as victims and then after Watson pays them off I'll refer to them as survivors.

You working at Jacks would be an "at will” employee.  NFL players are not at will employees.  Their contracts and the CBA governs their employment. So t issue is what can the NFL and team enforce?

Yup and if those rules are enforced the above applies.

Anyone notice the Mychal Kendricks news?  Going to the BIG HOUSE....for 1 day.  Then 3 years of probation.

Whats the point of sentencing a dude to 1 day???

Stupid stuff.

Be the first year the winner of the super bowl win because the other team forfeited.

If you can't film em deflate em give em covid and herpes.

Covidgate!

How do we know he didn’t put in effort. He had a bad year it doesn’t mean he didn’t try hard. Was he not working hard at practices? Was he not paying attention during film study? Did he sit out games when healthy during the season because he didn’t feel like playing?

I think people like to project with no factual basis for that, and I saw nothing that said Ertz wasn’t trying hard. It was a terrible year, no one on the offense really played all that well.

When are you going to change that avatar and signature, btw?

I think it’s more stupid it took 3 years to sentence him. I don’t understand the point of one day but in general jails have been limiting number of inmates. Or Kendricks has been a confidential snitch.

And inside is a complete stadium with all the scores from all the playoff games! Very nice

Don't think anyone shared this. Adds some interesting perspective to the DE spot.

The vaccine is great, but it isn’t perfect. It could still be your funeral too, which is why it’s important for everyone to get vaccinated.

I can only control me, and I'll take my chances being vaccinated.

Is he going to show up and play though, or is he going to show up and be a disgruntled distraction

If he's playing for a new contract, how much is he going to be able to increase his stock as a back up TE to Goedert??

Or are we going to see more of Howie dictating playing time to justify his horrible financial decisions like he did with Jeffrey???

Like I said the reasons to cut him out weigh the reasons to keep him for the eagles and Ertz

I'm not a big fan of Ertz behavior last year either, he punked out and Howie should have traded him when he value and not doing so was Howie's mistake no reason to hold onto that mistake just to make some stupid point

No, what you said was that Howie was "doing him dirty". Which he isn't.

Or his lawyers negotiated well.

It would have been nice if everyone listened to the scientists and doctors and wore masks consistently from the start so this wouldnt still be an issue.  Or everyone got the vaccine, so this wouldnt still be an issue. But... here we are with you asking if we want to wear masks for the rest of our lives, while you also dont get a vaccine and continue to be able to spread the virus, without your mask or vaccine.

Think about the question you are asking, and how you and other like-minded individuals are responsible for the fact that this is even a question to be asked.

I got the vaccine months ago.  I just believe in everyone being able to make that choice for themselves.

I just find it very odd for people who got vaccinated and still wear the mask.  Just as I find it odd people who drive in their car alone and wear a mask.  You're free to do it, go for it.  Doesn't effect me but I think it's odd.

It's up to the individual to want to be vaccinated and any individual has the right to not want to get the vaccination.  As a healthy sports person, there is a compelling case to look at where the deaths and bad reactions to COVID were, and decide, not for me; my risk is low.  A larger player, like a DT, is at a different place on the risk scale and the case for vaccination is very much stronger.  Players like Hopkins have every right to say, no thanks and people need to respect that decision without the usual shrill crap that is on social media.

I am double vaccinated, so I'm not talking from a perspective of an anti-Vaxxer.  I do think the side effects of vaccinations are not talked about enough and that would be part of my decision making as an athlete.  Waiting a year for more data is a sane decision and we need to be more understanding of people who are reluctant to get vaccinated.

Yup which is why it's mind boggingly stupid that Howie hasn't released him.

He's going to have to either way why wait other than to give the middle finger to Ertz on the way out

Why have him come to camo if one is just going to have to cut him? What of he gets hurt in camp!

Why not just release him now let him latch on with another team before camp starts and wash ones hands of it and learn from ones mistakes.

There are zero football team building reasons to keep Ertz on the roster.

There's an opportunity cost to keeping Ertz because of his salary.  I mean they would be able to sign a 2nd CB like Nelson but for Ertz's cap number.  I wouldn't be so certain that another team won't trade for him.  I think several teams would be interested in him if he was released.

No we don't. Vaccines are incredibly simple things, proven over time and over many different diseases to be effective. Enough babying these people. We have a lot of problems in my country, but I'm extremely thankful and proud that we're among the leaders in the world in vaccine rates.

Apples and oranges.  This isn't about most vaccines, but about the very newest vaccine, that has not undergone the same level of scrutiny as the "tried and true" ones, such as MMR, Polio, etc.  I got mine, but there is risk because of remaining unknowns.

And people have the right to refuse ANY vaccine, for ANY reason.   They can be criticized for doing so, but they cannot be forced into a vaccination.  But, just because someone else isn't vaccinated shouldn't stop those who are from carrying on under normal conditions.  There are risks to everything.  Risk is a part of life.  Adults have to decide what risks they are willing to take.

Risk in everything.

Choices have consequences.

Moving on now.

At this point it seems personal for Howie.

One of the more interesting story lines to play out will be which of Sweat/Barnett the Eagles decide to actually extend.

He is being selfish and puts other people at risk.

I think being an athlete is irrelevant - being obese is an increased risk for mortality compared to the norm, but I don't think there is any evidence that being in shape decreases risk of infection compared to the norm.
