Not only that but the defense can't get off the field on 3rd down either.  Teams are 16 for 24 as of this tweet.

Sometimes I pull up the eagles roster page and just stare in awe at the talent Howie has assembled in spite of 3 consecutive years of Joe Douglas F ups.

The couple of plays that I saw he was held especially on that INT.  Would have been illegal contact or PI in the regular season.  

Hard to know for sure what to make of that. There are some things to worry about for sure... Either way, we'll find out soon enough.

All I can say is I'm disappointed in Sirianni's decision to throw away a preseason opportunity just because  of a good showing during a practice week. A team going through as much change as we are needs to continue to work together and grow together. Hurts' "illness" is BS. They made a decision to rest most of the O-line and didn't want to expose him to more pressure. It looks like we will enter yet another season less prepared than we could have been. 

 

It's great to be excited about practice performances, but your job as a football team is to continue to get better, not to avoid physical contact. After 3 hours, there is nothing to take away from this game. It was an unnecessary waste of time.
