Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I would also like to make the other comment I make every year regarding final cuts. And that is, how awesome it is these days to be able to keep up with the news almost in real time. That was definitely not the case years ago. You'd have to wait every half hour (at quarter of and a quarter after the hour) to hear when KWY would finally announce the names.

And I distinctly remember one year (it wasn't final cuts but the previous deadline) they announced on the radio that "The Eagles released Richard Cooper and a bunch of guys today that you never heard of". THAT was their report! Gee, thanks.

Thats my first waiver claim.  I would've traded a pick for him.

I should probably take the time to make the obligatory comment I make every year. And that is that we shouldn't get too hung up on following a prescribed number of players at each position. Sure, it's a guideline. But if your eleventh offensive lineman is a considerably better player than your sixth linebacker, well, you gotta roll with eleven OLs and only 5 LBs.

So I wouldn't be surprised if they go with 21 linemen (offensive and defensive combined) and go short elsewhere. They just have more depth there than anywhere else. And then you just figure it out from there with game day call ups from the practice squad.

Is there any way we can archive Franklin's obligatory annual comments to relieve him of this exceptional burden?

Thanks in advance for you assistance.

Fulgham isn't great, but he did more in his first two games as an Eagle than JJawful has in two years.

JJAW dropped that pass in the Lions game and I will hold that against him forever.  I don't think Fulgham has done anything that meaningful.

It's kinda disappointing in a way about Hightower, but at the time of that draft, the idea was really to hope that ONE of the speed receivers (Hightower or Watkins) develops. The book hasn't been written yet on Watkins but the trajectory is at least pointing in the right direction.

Maybe goes to IR for a few weeks with a mystery injury as they let Ridgeway or McGill go for just one day.

Maybe they think whatever injury he had hampered him too much? Certainly didn’t show much to earn a spot.

Eagles will probably bring in a vet WR. Don't see them rounding out the WR corps with Ward & JJAW at the tail end.

I liked Hightower's potential a lot, but he is just too raw a WR.  He had the ability to get behind NFL CB -- just too bad he didn't catch the ball enough.

I wouldn't be surprised (well, maybe a little) if they cut Siposs today. Not that think he's not worthy of a spot. But he might just be someone you can cut who would clear waivers and then be re-signed tomorrow when the put Tyree Jackson on IR. If he's claimed, well, you just sign some veteran punter and roll with that for the year.

Because Jackson is going to make the 53 today, right? He just has to after that preseason game against the Steelers.

That would be interesting.   I was assuming that they'd cut Rodgers and then resign after designating Jackson on IR.   But, Siposs would be an outside the box thought.

He is also redundant to Reagor and Watkins.  They should PS him, see if he can getter better, and eventually push for a role next season instead of keeping Ward around.

Marlon T has no business on this roster. He won't be here by the end of the week...I would assume.

Sirianni and Steichen connection. But he opted out last year and is probably washed.
